Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 458: Chapter 274: Is This Pawmot Legal? (4k)

”Pa Mo, Pa Mo!” (I am the Thunder God Pawmo, for the glory of the ranch!)

Five minutes later, Pawmo was flying around with the hammer above the ranch, much like a child with a new toy.

Naoki and Tinkatink stood below, watching this scene.

After the initial surprise, Pawmo quickly fell in love with the hammer.

To play the superhero called Thunder God Thor that Naoki had just described, Pawmo even went back to its room to change into its red cape.

Looking at it now, it really does resemble something like that.

In Naoki’s mind, the image of Pawmo electrifying the hammer just now appeared, stirring thoughts within him:

”Judging from how the hammer performed after being electrified, the conductivity of the Corviknight Feather is quite impressive and can perfectly adapt to Pawmo’s Electric Energy.”

”The Electric Energy has enhanced the power of the hammer, and as it stands, Pawmo seems to have instinctively learned to use the electrified hammer to attack without any guidance... What is this? A self-created move, Mjolnir?”

”I wonder if, according to the Paldea League’s battle rules, Pawmo would be allowed to enter battles with the hammer.”

”But, it should be allowed, right?” Naoki speculated.

After all, Tinkaton and similar Pokemon also wield hammers in battles.

Moreover, there are even Pokemon like Maushold and Dragapult that join battles with their families.

In a sense, this hammer can be considered Pawmo’s exclusive weapon.

And from today onwards, Pawmo would no longer be just a Normal Pawmo, but a special individual among the Pawmo tribe, named the Thunder God Pawmo of the Pokemon.

Naoki had a faint premonition deep down that what he was doing now wasn’t in vain, but was, in fact, the creation of a new legend.

It’s truly exciting to think how far the Pawmo who ate the Lightning Steamed Bun could go in the future!

At this moment, his sister, Indeedee, came out of the house and called out to Naoki: ”Ai ee!”

Naoki realized that his sister Indeedee needed something from him, so he said to Pawmo and Tinkatink:

”You two play here, by the way, Pawmo, the Tinkaton family is very skilled in using hammer-type weapons. If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can consult with it!”

Upon hearing this, Pawmo’s eyes lit up and it looked towards Tinkatink expectantly, asking, ”Pa Mo?”

Being looked at by its idol with such an expectant gaze, Tinkatink felt a little shy but nodded nonetheless.

”Woo ah.”

Naoki was right; every Tinkatink is extremely skilled in using hammers, as if these methods are innate within their minds.

Seeing this, Pawmo quickly asked Tinkatink to teach it.

Tinkatink, delighted to finally be of help since being rescued and having freeloaded here, immediately agreed.

The two hammer-wielding Pokemon joined hands and ran to a nearby open space to practice hammer techniques.

Naoki then turned around and went back to the living room with his sister Indeedee.

As soon as he entered, he heard the sound of a video call.

Huh? Who could be calling at this hour?

Naoki was somewhat surprised as he went forward to answer the call, and the next second, Professor Sada’s spirited face appeared on the screen.

”Long time no see, Naoki.” Professor Sada greeted him with a smile.

After a brief moment of daze, Naoki quickly regained his composure: ”Long time no see, Professor. Koraidon is outside basking in the sun; I’ll go get it.”

However, Professor Sada shook her head helplessly: ”No, this call isn’t for Koraidon; I need to ask a personal favor.”

Hmm? Naoki was slightly taken aback, then immediately said: ”Please, go ahead.”

”It’s about Arven.” Speaking about her son, Professor Sada showed a hint of guilt: ”The research in Zone Zero is at a critical stage, and Turo and I can’t leave for long.”

”For all these years, Arven has been living alone. We owe him a lot. Yesterday, during my communication with him, I saw the child in a dark room by himself. Compared to his peers, he is too lonely and mature.”

”Turo and I have always hoped that Arven could go out more and engage with interesting things, but he has always been sullen and uninterested.”

”When I mentioned your ranch yesterday, Arven seemed a bit inclined, so I wanted to ask you a favor, to take care of Arven for a few days and introduce him to the world outside.”

”As a token of my gratitude.”

Here, Professor Sada paused slightly, then smiled and said:

”Last time you didn’t get to capture your desired Paradox Pokemon. Recently, there have been new achievements at the Pokemon Research Institute regarding Paradox Pokemon. When the time comes, if there are Paradox Pokemon compatible with this era, Turo and I will do our best to give you the opportunity to care for it.”

Naoki: ”...”

He showed a helpless expression: ”I have no problem with this, but Professor, you know this might only be a temporary solution.”

Professor Sada sighed: ”I know, this is where we as parents haven’t fulfilled our responsibility, but there’s nothing we can do...”
