Chapter 444: Chapter 268: Blossoming and Bearing Fruit

Therefore, Naoki first brought an offering mixed with Reversed Red Tea to the lake by the pasture.

Perhaps it was because Giratina was watching him from another world, as soon as Naoki arrived, a purple vortex-like portal appeared on the lake surface automatically.

Naoki threw the offering in and waited for a moment by the shore.

After a while, a voice suddenly came from the vortex:

”My friend, you may come in.”

The reversal was successful!

Naoki stood up, nodded to Calyrex and Koraidon, then rode on Koraidon, with Calyrex following behind, and jumped into the purple vortex in front of them.

They were in the ruined spaces of Floating Islands.

A large Pokémon with golden pupils, its body covered in sacred pure white with blue stripes, was slowly levitating in the void.

”Nice to meet you.” The reversed Giratina revealed a ’grin’ on its face.

Naoki: ”...”

He was still somewhat unaccustomed to this friendly Giratina, pondered for a moment, then spoke:

”Regarding the flowers you entrusted me to plant here before, I think I’ve found a way.”

”Oh? Really?” Giratina’s tone revealed a hint of surprise: ”Do I need to do anything?”

Naoki shook his head, thinking it would be fine as long as it didn’t attack them, leaving the rest to them.

After receiving Giratina’s permission, Naoki rode Koraidon, took Calyrex, and arrived on a small fragment of Sky Island.

And Giratina followed suit, its massive body floating on the small sky island, calmly and curiously staring down at Naoki’s actions.

”What are you planning to do? Are you going to dig like you did outside?” Giratina asked.

”...It’s called farming,” Naoki explained while observing the soil below.

The soil on this sky island was reddish-brown and somewhat hard, clearly unsuitable for farming.

He used a hoe to break it a couple of times, only to find that the soil turned into chunks, impossible to plant.

Thinking briefly, Naoki decided to borrow the power of Pokémon and asked Koraidon to fetch Diglett from the ranch.

”Ah gahs~” Koraidon happily complied.

It flew back to the ranch at top speed, and soon returned with Diglett.

”Squeak?!”

Upon seeing Giratina, Diglett was startled by its intimidating aura, quickly hiding behind Koraidon, trembling.

”Ah gahs...”

Koraidon pushed it out speechlessly.

Naoki explained: ”Don’t worry, it’s fine. I brought you here to ask you to help cultivate the land.”

Upon hearing this, Diglett timidly looked at Giratina,

”Squeak...”

Seeing that Giratina truly showed no signs of attacking, Diglett’s heart finally settled a bit.

Under the gaze of a group of powerhouses, it bravely drilled into the inside of the sky island, starting to cultivate the land as usual.

Following Diglett’s actions, the soil on the sky island quickly became visibly looser.

”Now we can start planting,” Naoki thought to himself.

He only came to verify if this place could be used for planting, so he didn’t bring many seeds, just a few leftover Berry cores.

However, just as he was about to bury the Berry seeds in the soil, Giratina’s aura behind him suddenly changed drastically.

Naoki turned around and saw Giratina’s eyes had turned blood red, the stripes on its body reverted to its original black and red color.

Oh no, the time for the Reversed Red Tea has expired!

Naoki’s heart skipped a beat, worried that Giratina might get angry.

However, although Giratina emitted a ferocious and irritable aura, it neither spoke nor shouted angrily.

When Naoki looked at it, it pretended nothing had happened, awkwardly saying things it would normally never say:

”My friend, why are you looking at me like that? Quickly, plant the seeds!”

Naoki: ”?”

Is Giratina pretending that the effect hasn’t expired?!

Naoki was a bit perplexed, wondering what this creature was up to.

Giratina naturally knew about the things this human did to it.

Even though its temperament was altered, it was still itself, retaining all memories from then.

The first time it was reversed and revealed its true inner thoughts, it even scared itself.

So when the effect time ended, Giratina was embarrassed and enraged.

Giratina was no fool; it knew this human came to fulfill its request for planting flowers on those Floating Islands.

This time, Giratina was also keenly curious to know if flowers could actually bloom here.

Therefore, after the effect ended, it pretended the effect hadn’t expired to avoid scaring the human and his weak Pokémon.

Yet, Giratina didn’t realize its return had already been noticed and was unaware that its body would change appearance and color when the temperament shifted.

Seeing Giratina pretending to still be in reversed time, Naoki didn’t know what to say.

Rarely did the original Giratina not shout or rage, so Naoki simply pretended he hadn’t seen anything.

He gave Koraidon and Calyrex a look and continued to turn around, burying the Berry core into the loosened soil.

Then, Naoki stepped aside, leaving the rest to Calyrex.

Calyrex’s flower bud on its head bloomed with a blue light, and the next second, the Berry seed buried in the soil quickly grew.

With a flash of light, a tall Berry tree appeared before Naoki and the Pokémon.

Without sunlight or water sources, solely relying on Calyrex’s power, the Berry tree sprouted lush green leaves, and its branches were laden with ripe and heavy Pecha Berries.

Success! Naoki was internally elated.

The Berry tree successfully sprouted, meaning things could be grown in this world!

Giratina’s gaze was captivated by this vibrant fruit tree, staring dumbfounded with its scarlet eyes at this scene.

Its realm, this world filled with desolation and destruction, could actually bear fruit!

Giratina’s heart felt immensely complicated.

Since the dawn of its creation, it was exiled to this ruined world for its harsh nature.

It raged, fumed, resented, spiraling in an empty world, gazing at Arceus, which made them, lively in sunlight through a water ripple.

Until after countless years, everything settled into calmness.

Arceus and Dialga left the world, vanishing into the void.

After experiencing the initial emotions, Giratina also regarded this place as its realm, occasionally gazing through the surface at the sunshine, green grass, and flowers of another world.

Now, its world has grown identical vibrant trees.

Giratina felt complicated as it turned and quietly looked at this human and his Pokémon, pondering silently.

Naoki didn’t notice Giratina’s expression; he was focusing entirely on the Berry tree before him.

More precisely, on the Berries hanging from the tree.

He discovered that these Berries differed significantly from the Pecha Berries he was familiar with.

[Pecha Berry: Toxic Berry, consuming it leads to poisoning, but is very popular among specific Pokémon, possessing great appeal to Poison Type Pokémon.]

Moreover, even the Berry tree itself seemed different.

[Pecha Berry Tree (Eternal): An ordinary Pecha Berry tree, influenced by antimatter allows it to maintain this form indefinitely, never wilting, growing, or dying.]

”Wow!”

Witnessing this, Naoki couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement.

Now, he finally understood what ”regular conventions in the Reversed World differ from the real world” meant.
