Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 435: Chapter 265: Seize the Day (4k)_2

One hundred thousand years... A number emerged in Naoki’s mind.

If this World Tree were allowed to grow freely, by that time, he might already be dust returning to dust, earth returning to earth.

At this moment, a sudden glimmer erupted in Calyrex’s eyes beside him, and slightly excited, it said:

”In that case, let me help it grow!”

After speaking, a powerful aura burst forth from Calyrex.

The former King simultaneously raised both his left and right hands.

Strong energy stirred up a gust of wind; humans within it would not be harmed, instead feeling as if they were bathed in a spring breeze.

Naoki looked towards Calyrex.

At this moment, the energy released by Calyrex had already transformed into a green light ball. With Calyrex at the center, it began to expand outward as Calyrex waved its right hand.

A warm spring breeze blew, and the originally wilted grass due to the season suddenly transformed into a lush green scene.

Tender and vibrant little yellow flowers bloomed across the grass.

Until that light ball enveloped the World Tree, it finally stopped expanding.

Then, Calyrex waved its left hand again.

The next moment, the long unchanged World Tree began to grow at a visibly accelerated pace.

Small branches sprouted tender green leaves; the originally fragile-looking trunk grew increasingly upright and became much sturdier compared to before.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes...

Naoki’s gaze turned towards the World Tree and saw the numbers above it quickly decreasing.

[World Tree Seedling: A seedling absorbing massive Power of Grass, mutated due to Gogoat, where immense life force brews within, ultimately breaking through the earth, now needs 99,989 years to mature.]

[99,970 years.]

[99,885 years.]

[99,600 years.]

...

[98,567 years.]

[97,995 years.]

Eventually, the numbers stopped at 97,995 years.

”Suddenly reduced by 2,000 years!” Naoki was genuinely shocked.

This means, within his lifetime, he could really witness the World Tree fully grown!

Calyrex helped him conquer time!

The surrounding anomalies gradually faded, and Calyrex, looking weary, lowered its hands.

Naoki quickly asked, ”How do you feel?”

Calyrex’s expression couldn’t hide its exhaustion: ”The life level of this World Tree far exceeds my understanding. With my power, this is all I can do. The energy consumed needs a month to recover.”

Hearing this, Naoki couldn’t help but feel somewhat guilty: ”If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have to be so tired...”

However, Calyrex shook its head, a glimmer in its eyes, and said:

”No need to be remorseful; this is my own choice. Being able to participate is our honor!”

”Calyrex...” Naoki felt deeply moved.

He decided, later on, he would prepare something nice to nourish Calyrex!

Weary Calyrex now wanted to rest a bit.

So, Naoki led it to the Glass Greenhouse.

The heating in the Glass Greenhouse was quite sufficient, with flower racks filled with vibrant blooming flowers all around, and the room was permeated with a sweet fragrance.

Before winter arrived, Naoki had already arranged everything inside the Glass Greenhouse.

On the left side against the wall stood a bookshelf, filled with various books.

Below the bookshelf was a lazy sofa for resting and a wooden coffee table.

Further inside, at the center surrounded by flower racks, stood an iron tea table.

Calyrex sat by the tea table, and Naoki brought it a cup of red tea and some small sweets to revive energy, letting it rest here.

Calyrex turned its gaze towards the green vines hanging beside and the blooming flowers, couldn’t help but marvel:

”Human wisdom astounds me; I never thought even without my power, they could make flowers and grass bloom in this season.”

Naoki sat beside the tea table chatting with Calyrex: ”Indeed! The world keeps changing incessantly; who could have imagined thousands of years ago humans and Pokemon would develop the kind of relationship they have now?”

”Indeed!” Calyrex took a sip of Sweet Red Tea.

Bathed in this warm environment, surrounded by floral scents, it felt its body and mind involuntarily relaxing.

The Dragonairs followed Naoki into the greenhouse.

They coiled on the sofa, showing their white bellies, seemingly very fond of this warm place.

Looking at this scene, Naoki calculated in his mind the time for the World Tree to fully grow.

One time, Calyrex could shorten its growth period by 2,000 years but would need to rest for a month afterward.

One month, 2,000 years, and 100,000 years would need 50 months.

And with a year having 12 months, it means even with Calyrex’s Helping Hand, the World Tree would still need about four years to fully mature.

Four years...

Naoki was already satisfied with this number.

After all, with the original timeline, he might be dead before he could see the World Tree grow big.

After a while, Calyrex seemed to have fallen asleep in this warm and comfortable environment, indeed easy to become sleepy. The five Dragonairs also slept crookedly, in disorder.

Naoki did not disturb them, rising quietly and leaving the Glass Greenhouse.
