Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 419: Chapter 259: A Six-on-One Sweep, Shocking the Entire Arena! Its Name—Calyrex!

His eyes widened in shock, and he murmured, ”Holy crap.”

Did he really just draw the rarest Golden Card? His luck was unbelievably good!

In the contestants’ hall, Leon looked at the Pokemon taking on five in a row with a look of astonishment in his eyes.

Then, a fierce fighting spirit ignited in his gaze.

*

Looking at the boy across from him questioning his own life choices, Naoki couldn’t help but feel a little sympathetic.

He couldn’t help but say, ”Sorry, I’m just here to get something out of this battle, I’m not targeting you on purpose.”

Hearing this, Aoken, after a brief moment of confusion, firmly shook his head: ”No, you don’t need to apologize, our skills just aren’t up to par. However, the battle isn’t over yet!”

Saying this, he took out his last Poke Ball.

”You’re a Trainer from another region, aren’t you?” Aoken asked.

Naoki nodded.

Aoken laughed: ”In that case, let me show you a feature of our Galar Region! Dynamax, Rillaboom!”

As he finished speaking, a surge of purple energy burst from Aoken’s Dynamax Band.

All that energy poured into the Poke Ball he held, and immediately, the Poke Ball began to grow visibly larger.

Aoken held it with both hands, then threw it vigorously.

With a thud, a colossal Rillaboom, standing dozens of meters tall and exuding a powerful aura, landed with a mighty crash.

”There it is!” Vivian finally regained her voice: ”Aoken’s trump card Pokemon, the Dynamaxed Rillaboom!”

Naoki gazed up at the Rillaboom before him, feeling deeply shaken.

So this is a Dynamaxed Pokemon?

It really does look spectacular!

Standing behind him, Calyrex sensed the surrounding aura, eyes contemplating.

This power... resembles very much what they once faced during the Darkest Day.

The final battle officially begins!

The arena spectators held their breath, eager to see whether the Dynamaxed Rillaboom or the red Pokemon held the edge.

”Rillaboom, use Max Overgrowth!” Aoken ordered grimly.

”Roaar!”

Rillaboom let out an incredibly spirited roar, and its momentum instantly surged upwards.

A terrifying energy brewed over the battlefield.

”Koraidon!” Naoki felt an inexplicable tension rising within him.

”Aaarg~” Koraidon’s tone, however, was quite relaxed, as if it didn’t think much of the threat.

”Alright then... in that case, go all out with Flare Blitz!” Naoki said.

As he spoke, the Dynamaxed Rillaboom on the opposite side moved.

With a mighty swing, a massive green Energy Ball descended toward the ground like a meteorite.

Koraidon’s eyes locked onto the target, timing perfectly, as crimson flames erupted from its body with a whoosh.

Then, it leaped straight at the green energy sphere.

At that moment, the enormous arena fell silent, everyone held their breath, even Leon stared unblinkingly at the screen.

With everyone’s eyes on it, Koraidon, engulfed in flames, pierced through the giant green Energy Ball before crashing hard into the Dynamaxed Rillaboom.

Taking such a heavy hit, Rillaboom staggered, its massive body burst like an explosion, releasing a surge of tremendous Dynamax energy.

Its form quickly began to shrink.

Green light enveloped the entire arena.

Vivian’s voice was extremely excited: ”Rillaboom was knocked out of its Dynamax state in one move! My God! What is going on here?”

”It’s lost.” The instant Rillaboom’s body began shrinking, Leon knew the outcome.

That Trainer, that Pokemon... truly intriguing!

Leon was ready for the upcoming battle with them.

In the audience seats, Mike was already tense with excitement, exclaiming, ”Oh my God!”

Beside him, Robbie’s face darkened, recalling his pre-match champagne celebration, and suddenly he flushed red with embarrassment.

```
He didn’t even watch the match, just got up from his seat and turned to leave.
Seeing this, Mike felt an unprecedented sense of relief in his heart.
One word, satisfying!
Once all the energy covering the battlefield dissipated.
Rillaboom had already collapsed on the ground, losing its ability to fight.
While Koraidon stood perfectly unharmed beside it.
Seeing this scene, the referee observing the match stepped forward, checked on Rillaboom’s condition, and then blew the whistle to announce:
”The match is over! Rillaboom has lost the ability to fight, and the winner of this match is Trainer Naoki!”
”It’s terrifying! This is truly astounding! That Pokemon actually achieved an incredible one versus six!” Vivian was extremely excited: ”Trainer Aoken even participated in the Champion Cup and reached the semi-finals!”
”Huh? What’s Trainer Naoki doing?” At this time, Vivian suddenly noticed what was happening on the battlefield.
Only to see the mysterious Pokemon that had been floating behind Naoki suddenly drifted to the unconscious Rillaboom.
Under the puzzled gazes of everyone, the Pokemon gently lifted its right hand.
A burst of vibrant energy emanated from it, infusing into Rillaboom’s body.
A second later, Rillaboom’s eyelids twitched, and then it stood up from the ground.
Seeing this, Vivian quickly reacted: ”That Pokemon is healing Rillaboom! That healing ability is astonishing! It restored Rillaboom’s full strength in an instant!”
On the battlefield, Aoken looked in amazement at Naoki and Calyrex as they walked toward him.
”You... what are you doing?!”
”Let all your Pokemon out! I’ll heal them.” Naoki said.
After witnessing Rillaboom’s condition firsthand, Aoken nodded and released all his Pokemon.
Calyrex healed each one of them.
Once all the Pokemon had regained their ability to fight, Aoken looked at Calyrex and thanked it: ”Thank you.”
Calyrex smiled slightly, then retreated to Naoki’s side.
”Your strength is really impressive!” Aoken felt genuine admiration in his heart.
”Believe that one day, you can also reach such a level.” Naoki didn’t know what to say, so he just said that.
Aoken immediately nodded with determination: ”Yes, we will work hard too! Moving toward that peak!”
”Good luck!”
The purpose of this trip achieved, Naoki didn’t plan to continue battling. He intended to forfeit the upcoming matches and return to the Paldea Region with Sinistea and Polteageist.
But just as he was about to return to the players’ lounge, Vivian suddenly ran over with a microphone.
”Trainer Naoki, Trainer Naoki! Please wait a moment!”
Naoki stopped and turned his head in surprise: ”What’s up?”
Vivian, in an excited tone, interviewed him: ”After watching this match, I’m sure everyone is very curious about you. Can I interview you on their behalf?”
Naoki nodded slightly, friendly: ”Of course.”
”Thank you very much!” Vivian’s eyes lit up: ”Then the first question, where are you from, Trainer?”
Naoki looked at the camera and replied: ”The Paldea Region.”
”The Paldea Region?” Vivian was a bit surprised: ”Wow, that’s really far from the Galar Region! I see, then the second question.”
Saying this, she looked at Koraidon and Calyrex behind him: ”It’s about these two Pokemon; there’s no record of them in the Pokedex. I’m sure everyone is really curious right now, wanting to know their names...”
Names? Naoki was slightly taken aback, then instinctively looked at Calyrex.
Calyrex seemed to understand his thoughts, smiled, and gently nodded.
Seeing this, Naoki understood, then looked back at the camera.
”This Pokemon is called Koraidon, and like me, it comes from the Paldea Region.”
Koraidon happily exclaimed: ”Aghh~”
Vivian was very surprised: ”Wow! It seems so friendly! Not as ferocious as imagined!”
Naoki smiled: ”Koraidon is a very kind Pokemon.”
”I see.” Vivian nodded, then looked at the other mysterious Pokemon with a regal presence, like a true king: ”And what about this one?”
Naoki turned his head, exchanged a glance with Calyrex, and then in the arena that attracted the attention of all, announced its name to the camera:
”Calyrex, that is its name.”
