Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 443: Chapter 268: Blossoming and Fruition (4000)

The process of making flower cake is not complicated, but there’s only one Moon Dew Rose, and there are so many Pokemon in the ranch that it won’t be enough for everyone.

To ensure every Pokemon gets a piece, Naoki went to the Glass Greenhouse to pick a whole basin full of flowers; the greenhouse almost went bare from his picking.

This made Butterfree and several Combee watch with tears almost falling, eagerly eyeing the petals being picked off.

Naoki: ”...”

Next to him, Calyrex watched the scene with a smile. It gently raised its hand, and colored flowers bloomed once again on the bare stems.

Butterfree and Combee were immediately drawn to this scene, gazing with admiration at Calyrex.

”Fwee!” Amazing!

”Buzz!”

In response to Combee and Butterfree’s remarks, Calyrex remained still, elegantly seated at the wrought iron tea table. Amidst the admiring glances of the Pokemon, it calmly lifted a cup of tea to its lips and took a gentle sip.

This demeanor made Butterfree and Combee admire this impressive Pokemon even more, capable of making flowers bloom.

They flew beside Calyrex, happily vocalizing.

Seeing this, Naoki breathed a sigh of relief.

It’s great to have Calyrex around.

He nodded at Calyrex, then carried the flowers back to the kitchen.

”Aiiee?”

Sister Indeedee curiously looked at the flowers in the basket, approaching to ask Naoki if he needed help.

Naoki shook his head and said, ”I can handle it myself. It’s my first time making this dessert, so I’m not sure if the method is correct. I need to explore a bit first.”

To make the flower cake, one needs to first prepare the rose jam.

However, the roses must ferment in a container for a month before they can turn into jam.

This means there’s temporarily no way to make flower cake today.

After pondering for a moment, Naoki decided to start with the rose jam.

He removed and cleaned the petals, left them aside to dry, then added white sugar, gently kneading them with the sugar until they became sticky.

Next, he placed them into transparent glass jars, poured a layer of honey on top to seal them, and finally sealed the jars, waiting for the petals inside to ferment.

Naoki made three jars of rose jam in a row.

As he looked down, the information about these rose jams surfaced in his mind.

[Unfinished Rose Jam: Made from freshly bloomed rose petals, needs another 30 days to fully ferment.]

”As expected, just the way I remember, the fermentation time is thirty days,” Naoki murmured.

He placed the jams in a cool, dark corner of the kitchen to let them ferment naturally.

Then, Naoki took out the frozen Water of the Reversed World from the fridge.

He thawed the ice cubes, then boiled them in a pot, poured the boiling water into a teapot, and began to brew tea.

There are three types in the reversed cooking series: heart, body, and skill.

And to calm down the temper of the irritable Giratina, the heart is needed.

After brewing three cups of tea in succession, Naoki finally obtained what he wanted.

[Reversed Red Tea·Heart (S): A red tea made with river water from the Reversed World combined with tea leaves.

Cooking Effect: Reversing the Universe, after consumption, the inner nature of humans and Pokemon will be reversed, with the kind turning dark, the dark turning kind, the timid becoming brave, and the selfish becoming generous.

Evaluation: Drink cautiously!]

”Next, I just have to have Giratina drink it mixed among the offerings tomorrow.”

Naoki planned his next steps in his heart.

First, he needs to reverse Giratina’s personality, and then take Calyrex and Koraidon into the ruined world.

Afterward, he would search for suitable farming land, plant seeds there, and use Calyrex’s power to make them grow.

If the seeds can grow, it means the world can support agriculture.

And the task Giratina previously commissioned him with could be completed.

Transforming a destroyed world into a new world full of floral scent and lush green grass is a fulfilling experience for a farmer.

Early the next morning, after finishing the daily chores at the ranch, Naoki informed Calyrex of his plans.

”Yesterday, that Pokemon lived in another world, a world full of floating islands, devoid of life, a shadow world brimming with the aura of destruction.”

”Previously, I accidentally stumbled into there and met the Pokemon named Giratina. It loves flowers and commissioned me to plant some there.”

”But that world is peculiar. It’s on the backside of the world we live in, full of shadows, with no sun or earth, so we need to see if seeds can grow there first.”

Upon hearing this, Calyrex nodded slightly and readily agreed: ”I understand, I am glad to help with this task.”

Even though the aura it felt yesterday was fierce and powerful, a Pokemon that loves flowers isn’t a bad Pokemon.

Seeing Calyrex’s agreement, Naoki was happy and said, ”Then I’ll leave it to you.”

Being cautious, Naoki did not immediately enter the Reversed World.

He still vividly remembers when Giratina bombarded him for ten minutes straight in the past.
