Chapter 438: Chapter 266: Shiny, Stable, Afternoon Tea

Naoki seems to really like this color... If he turned this color too, would Naoki not be attracted away by other Dragonite?

Thinking of this, Dragonite immediately leaned in front of Naoki, looking at him eagerly: ”Oh!”

The Translation Nuts Cake’s words had run out, but seeing Dragonite’s expression, Naoki immediately guessed its meaning.

”... You want to change your color too?”

Dragonite nodded repeatedly, happily: ”Oh!”

A green, plump image appeared in Naoki’s mind, and for a moment he didn’t know what to say.

After thinking carefully, he started to explain to the Pokémon about Shiny Pokémon knowledge.

”Shiny Pokémon are the most special existence among all Pokémon species.”

”It’s extremely rare to encounter one, possibly only one out of thousands or even tens of thousands of Pokémon.”

”As its name suggests, a Shiny Pokémon has a body color that greatly differs from others in its tribe.”

”So far, you should have seen a Shiny Pokémon, it’s the pink Dragonair that visits the ranch every day.”

Upon hearing this, the Pokémon immediately recalled the five Dragonites that come to play every day, one of which is pink, different from the others.

Naoki continued: ”Different species of Shiny Pokémon also have different body colors, for example, Shiny Pawmot is pink, whereas Shiny Alcremie is black.”

”Oh?” Dragonite eagerly asked, what color is its Shiny form?

Naoki picked up a piece of green vegetable, pointing at the color on it and said: ”Green.”

”Oh!” Ugly!

Dragonite let out a disdainful growl, immediately losing interest in changing colors.

”Indeedee is dark green, Psyduck is blue, Cyclizar is gray-white, and Koraidon is black.”

Naoki’s glance swept across the group of Pokémon in front of him, introducing the Shiny colors of the ranch Pokémon one by one.

Finally, he asked: ”Understood?”

The Pokémon nodded collectively.

Naoki smiled, continuing: ”Those berries grow from the fruit trees in the berry garden, and maybe we can get more of them in the future. Then, if you want to experience it, you can eat them.”

”Just one can turn you into a Shiny, and if you eat another, you’ll change back to your original appearance, so don’t worry about not being able to change back.”

In the afternoon, Keri drove her car over to help Naoki build the stable.

Upon arriving at the ranch, she saw a pink Pawmot with a handsome cape flying around the ranch.

Keri was puzzled: ”Why has Pawmot turned pink?”

”It ate a berry called Dye Berry, which can change a Pokémon’s color,” Naoki explained with a smile.

”I see!”

At this moment, Pawmot heard someone calling its name and flew over happily.

Upon seeing the pink Pawmot, Keri’s eyes lit up instantly.

She felt her girlish heart being touched and couldn’t help but reach out to Pawmot.

But quickly, she realized what she was doing and stopped, apologizing to Naoki: ”Sorry, I’ve never seen a Pawmot like this before.”

Naoki grinned, holding Pawmot in his arms and squeezing its little paw pads.

Pawmot made a charming noise: ”Pa-mo~”

”Cute, isn’t it?” Naoki asked.

”Yes.” Keri swallowed: ”Very cute.”

Pawmot used Growl, and poor Keri’s attack power decreased.

Naoki thought that with such a cute appearance, it might provide a significant advantage in Pokémon battles.

Anyone seeing Pawmot for the first time would likely think it’s an adorable, harmless-looking Pokémon.

But in fact, Pawmot could swing a hammer with fire and lightning to knock opponents flying.

Tinkatink was already busy making Pawmot’s hammer, and it wouldn’t take long to complete.

Corviknight’s feathers have good electrical conductivity.

By then, Pawmot could evolve into its complete form and become a true ”Thunder God.”

Naoki released Pawmot: ”Go play!”

Pawmot flew away.

Keri’s gaze followed the cute Pawmot until she remembered the real business at hand.

She looked around and asked: ”Have you chosen the stable’s location yet?”

Naoki nodded, took her to the side of the house, and pointed at the empty space: ”Let’s build it here!”

Building it next to the house would be convenient for going out later.

Right now, he had too many Pokémon mounts, and he didn’t know which one to choose each time he went out.

”Okay.”

Keri said no more, she stepped forward to measure the distance, then had Machamp unload tools and wood from the car, starting to hammer and construct.

The construction of the stable was relatively small, taking about a few hours to complete.

Naoki looked around but couldn’t find traces of Spectrier and Glastrier.

Taking advantage of this time, he strolled around the ranch and eventually found the two horses near the berry garden.

They were lingering by the river, lowering their heads to drink the clear water.

At that moment, Calyrex suddenly appeared beside the two horses, accompanying them in drinking water.
