Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 431: Chapter 264: Dye Berry, World Tree (5k)

Early the next morning, with the arrival of dawn, the ranch welcomed a brand new day.

The first thing Naoki did upon waking up was to look for the whereabouts of Calyrex to see where it slept last night.

Living room... not there.

Second floor... not there.

Kitchen... also not there.

Naoki searched for a long time but couldn’t find it, so he returned to the living room.

On the coffee table, the Polteageist and Sinistea from last night’s tea party were snoozing on top, and Cyclizar was also dozing off by the fireplace.

Even big brother Indeedee looked drowsy.

Seeing this, Naoki said helplessly, ”If you’re sleepy, go take a nap. I’ll handle all the ranch work today!”

Big brother Indeedee shook its head vigorously to wake itself up, quickly saying, ”In...deedee!”

It could still hold on!

Alright! Naoki nodded, turned, and prepared to check out the wine cellar below, but there was still no sign of Calyrex.

It seemed that Calyrex must have spent the night outside yesterday.

After a brief thought, Naoki decided to check outside.

But when he returned to the living room, he saw big brother Indeedee dozing off again.

Little sister Indeedee covered her mouth and giggled from the side.

Naoki: ”...”

Just then, a Butterfree landed in front of the large floor-to-ceiling window next to the living room.

Naoki instructed, ”Butterfree, use Sleep Powder on big brother Indeedee!”

”Bzzzz?!”

Butterfree was suddenly startled, but after confirming Naoki wasn’t joking, it flew to the sleepy big brother Indeedee and fanned out the Shield Dust that could induce sleep.

Soon, big brother Indeedee fell asleep.

”Alright, little sister, take your brother upstairs to rest!” Naoki exhaled a sigh of relief.

”In...deedee~”

Little sister Indeedee eagerly agreed, using Psychic to take her brother back to his room.

Pawmo, Alcremie, and Glaceon were also sleeping.

Naoki didn’t disturb them and turned to take Koraidon outside the ranch.

Although it hadn’t snowed yet this season, the temperature had already dropped below ten degrees. In this environment, some cold-fearing Pokemon rarely ventured outside to play.

As soon as Naoki and Koraidon stepped out the door, they saw Calyrex stroking its beloved horse on a spacious lawn.

Hearing the commotion, Calyrex turned its head and looked warmly at its little follower: ”Moo crown chirp!”

Naoki: ”...”

He almost forgot he had eaten all the Translation Nuts Cake, so now he couldn’t understand Calyrex anymore.

”There are still some sunflowers harvested from last autumn at home, I’ll have to make another batch of Translation Nuts Cake later,” thought Naoki, feeling it was quite troublesome, ”It’s a pity there’s no dish that allows direct communication with Pokemon.”

The power to let humans and Pokemon communicate is extremely rare in this world.

Aura, Power of Viridian, Triumphant Light...

And dishes with such effects must be of very high grade and quality, which he probably couldn’t make yet.

After a brief thought, Naoki greeted Calyrex, ”Good morning! Did you sleep well last night?”

Calyrex nodded slightly: ”Crown chirp!”

Beside it, the ill-tempered Glastrier hoofed the ground discontentedly and snorted twice.

Even without translation, Naoki could tell what Glastrier meant.

It was hungry and wanted to eat the Iceroot Carrots from the Crown Tundra.

On the other hand, Spectrier showed no reaction, standing silently with a serene gaze.

Seeing this, Naoki brought a few Berries over and placed them in front of the two horses.

They first sniffed at them half-heartedly, but perhaps due to hunger, they eventually lowered their heads and started eating.

”Looks like Spectrier and Glastrier don’t really like regular Berries...” Naoki thought.

This means I need to move up the plan to create a special field.

”Wait for me a bit, I need to milk and feed the Gogoat first, then I’ll come and plant carrots for you,” Naoki said to the two horses.

Finally, Glastrier settled down and began eating the Berries tastelessly.

Naoki nodded to Calyrex and then carried a milk bucket with Koraidon to the Gogoat pen.

In the pen, the three Gogoat were already energetically waiting.

They obediently bent down for Naoki to milk them and then went on to eat their favorite Grassy Seed.

Calyrex watched the scene from a distance.

About the three sheep Pokemon and that mysterious tree, it had a lot to say.

But it seemed its little follower couldn’t understand it now...

Calyrex’s eyes showed a sign of confusion.

Before coming here, it thought this was just an ordinary ranch, but now it seemed otherwise.

Everything here was filled with secrets.

After finishing milking the three goats, Naoki went to the Chicken House to collect the eggs laid by the hens last night.

Then, he and Koraidon went to the Pokemon House to move the MooMoo Fresh Milk collected by the automatic milker from the Miltank to the warehouse, placing it with the goat milk, waiting for Zack to come and pick it up in the afternoon.

During this time, the two Dragonite and five Dragonair from Dragonite Island came over to start work.

Seeing Naoki return, they happily ran over to greet him.

Naoki greeted each of them and then watched as the two working Dragonite took the goat milk from little sister Indeedee and flew to town for delivery.
