Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 440: Chapter 267: Moon Dew Rose, The King’s Beloved Steed

Inside the greenhouse, warm like spring.

Under Polteageist’s expectant gaze, Naoki and Calyrex picked up the teacup in front of them, focusing their attention and holding their breaths as they began to taste.

The purple liquid in the cup swayed gently, and the tea inside was so clear and bright, like a pool of purple clear spring water.

Naoki bowed his head, sniffed first, and immediately caught a unique tea fragrance that was refreshing and delightful.

He raised the cup to his lips and took a gentle sip. The next second, he was astounded by the tea’s deliciousness.

It was like traveling to the gourmet shows he had watched before, drinking this tea truly made one feel as if they were in a dreamland!

Naoki’s eyes lit up, his mind couldn’t help but ponder the possibility of using Polteageist as a special version of Shuckle that excels at brewing Berry Juice.

Although Polteageist cannot directly turn tea leaves into tea like Shuckle, its power can enhance the quality and flavor of the tea.

Thinking of this, Naoki looked up, wanting to know Calyrex’s opinion on this kind of tea.

At this moment, Calyrex was elegantly holding a cup, sipping amidst the flowers.

It closed its eyes, moving slowly, as if carefully savoring the taste of the tea.

After a long while, Calyrex opened its eyes and looked at the waiting Polteageist with a gentle gaze.

”Your tea is the finest in the world.”

Polteageist’s little eyes lit up, then looked at Naoki.

Naoki also smiled and nodded, ”I’ve never tasted such delicious tea.”

Upon hearing this, Polteageist excitedly spun around, and Sinistea, feeling its emotion, also started swaying behind.

Naoki and Calyrex smiled, watching this scene.

Then, Naoki pushed the slice of Green Grass Cake towards Calyrex.

”Want to give it a try?”

Calyrex glanced down and saw a pastry emitting a strong grassy aroma and a sweet scent placed in front of it.

Naoki demonstrated how to use the knife and fork for it.

Calyrex understood and gracefully used a silver knife to cut a small piece of the Green Grass Cake, then used a fork to lift it into its mouth to savor.

As soon as the cake entered its mouth, Calyrex felt a strong grassy aroma, and the cream and caramel’s sweetness wiped away the original bitterness of the grass, creating a very unique taste.

Coupled with the strands of Grass Type Energy mixed in, Calyrex felt that no Grass Type Pokemon could resist such a dessert.

It genuinely liked it, even more than the orange carrot its followers offered long ago.

”This is the most delicious dessert I’ve ever eaten.” Calyrex praised.

Seeing this, Naoki immediately laughed, ”That’s good.”

However, Calyrex seemed to have thought of something and asked, ”You previously mentioned that the Green Grass Cake can cause changes in crops when consumed. Does that mean I possess such an ability?”

Naoki thought carefully and replied, ”In theory, yes.”

He glanced again at the effects of the Green Grass Cake, seeing no restrictions for Legendary Pokemon, he nodded affirmatively, ”Correct.”

Calyrex’s eyes slightly brightened, feeling curious, ”Is it effective on these flowers too?”

Naoki nodded again, ”Yes.”

Upon hearing this, Calyrex said, ”I wish to give it a try.”

Naoki was slightly taken aback, ”Won’t that overly exhaust your energy?”

Calyrex shook its head, ”My power comes from faith. I can feel my faith continuously flowing on this land. Additionally, now with the companion of my steed, I was able to recover within a month.”

”The energy required to make the flowers bloom and to tend to the World Tree is entirely different. Now I only need a thought to turn the whole pasture into verdant grass and blooming flowers.”

Naoki understood, Calyrex meant that tending to the World Tree consumes 90% of its power, while making flowers bloom and crops mature in a small area only consumes 0.5% of its energy.

”Then shall we give it a try?” Naoki was also a bit curious.

Calyrex gave a gentle nod with a warm gaze.

It floated from the wrought iron tea table into the air, facing the flowers that hadn’t fully bloomed yet, and gently waved its right hand.

The next second, a magical scene unfolded.

In the vast greenhouse, regardless of whether they were planted in pots or hung on flower racks, all the flowers and plants amazingly bloomed beautifully.

Seeing this, Calyrex put down its hand and turned to ask, ”Is this sufficient?”

”I need to take a look,” Naoki said, then began searching among the flower racks.

His gaze swept over each blooming flower.

Roses... not yet.

Penny... not yet.

Pansies... not yet.

After wandering around, Naoki finally found a flower that had mutated.

It was a rose with a color as pure and gentle as moonlight.

[Moon Dew Rose: A rose that evolved under the nourishment of Grass Energy, originally an ordinary red rose, now possesses the power of the moon. When made into a dish, it can impart the effect of a Moon Stone to the dish.]

Seeing Naoki pause, Calyrex, Polteageist, and the Pokemon like Butterfree and Combee living in the greenhouse all flew over.

Calyrex looked at the rose and immediately identified it as the transformed flower.

”Is it this one?” Calyrex asked.

Naoki nodded, ”It transformed from a regular red rose into a Moon Dew Rose. Once made into a dish, the dish will also have magical effects.”
