Chapter 543: Giving Sasuke a Mangekyo Sharingan?

The apartment where Sasuke lived was not very large, but it was filled with all sorts of training equipment.

Kenichi even saw a mannequin placed in the middle of the room with a sheet of paper attached to it. The word ”Uchiha” was written across the paper.

”Sorry... my room is a bit messy.”

Sasuke was uncharacteristically embarrassed. His face flushed as he hurriedly tore the paper from the mannequin.

However, Kenichi had already seen the full name written on it.

Uchiha Itachi.

The man who had annihilated his clan.

This was entirely within Kenichi’s expectations. If someone else’s name had been written there, he would have been rather surprised.

”It’s fine. Don’t worry about it.”

Kenichi waved his hand and looked around.

He had to admit that, on the surface, Sasuke was doing quite well.

Sasuke’s apartment was a bit larger than the one Kenichi shared with Naruto, and the interior was nicely furnished. Moreover, the training equipment inside was not cheap.

It seemed that after the destruction of the Uchiha Clan, Sasuke, as its sole survivor, still possessed some assets that Konoha had not completely swallowed up.

It was also possible that the Third Hokage still had some integrity.

Danzo, on the other hand, was completely shameless.

Sasuke tightly clutched the crumpled paper and stuffed it into his pocket before turning around to search for the Shadow Clone Jutsu scroll.

Kenichi continued examining the room.

It could only be described as having a strange sense of orderly chaos.

”Here. See if this is it.”

Sasuke walked out holding a ninjutsu scroll, then threw it toward Kenichi.

Kenichi caught it and glanced over the contents.

It was indeed the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

”This is it. Come with me to the training ground at noon. I need to check your physical data, then I’ll create a specialized training plan for you.”

Kenichi casually tossed the scroll aside.

He had mastered the Shadow Clone Jutsu long ago.

Still, it had to be said that the Uchiha Clan truly deserved its reputation.

Even after being annihilated, a starved camel was still larger than a horse. The foundation the clan had accumulated was not something an ordinary small family could possess.

Although a B-rank ninjutsu was not some secret technique, it was still relatively rare.

Some ninja from smaller villages might never even learn that the Shadow Clone Jutsu existed.

”You need to check my physical data too?”

Sasuke was a little confused.

He had thought his training would simply involve following Kenichi and doing whatever Kenichi did.

”Of course. Everyone’s physical condition is different, so the training method suited to each person will also be different.”

Kenichi shrugged.

He had already collected Naruto’s physical data and created a training plan specifically for him.

Naruto was not suited to training exactly as Kenichi did. His training method was not suitable for everyone.

Fortunately, Kenichi had once spent some time working as a teacher, so he had a basic understanding of how to instruct students and create suitable training plans.

Sasuke blinked.

He still felt somewhat confused, but obediently nodded.

As long as it could make him stronger, anything was fine.

However, he soon reached back and touched his backside.

The secret technique Kenichi had used earlier was indeed extremely painful.

Maybe next time he should...

Sasuke quickly cast that thought aside and followed Kenichi out of his home.

”Why do I need to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu? It feels like a useless technique.”

On the way back to the academy, Sasuke voiced his confusion.

Kenichi glanced at him.

This particular piece of knowledge had not been taught at the Ninja Academy.

After all, for academy students who were not even certain whether they could become genin, the B-rank Shadow Clone Jutsu was far too advanced.

It was like teaching advanced mathematics to elementary school students. It would not help them and might even interfere with their normal coursework.

Moreover, the Shadow Clone Jutsu was a B-rank ninjutsu. Its learning difficulty had already reached the level expected of a jonin.

But as the son of a prominent clan, how could Sasuke not know about it?

His parents, or perhaps Itachi, should have taught him about its uses.

Yet in the original story, Sasuke did not seem to use Shadow Clones very often either.

That was indeed an interesting question.

”I once read in a book that Shadow Clones can assist with training. When a Shadow Clone disperses, the experience it gained during training is transferred back to the original body.”

Kenichi explained the technique’s most important advantage.

Sasuke froze when he heard this.

”What book?”

Sasuke asked instinctively.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

Was that really what this kid was focusing on?

But soon, Sasuke’s eyes grew fervent.

If what Kenichi said was true, then after learning the Shadow Clone Jutsu, could he not train for forty eight hours in a single day?

He could also use the clones to practice other ninjutsu, allowing him to master even more techniques.

”I forgot. It was somewhere in the library.”

Kenichi casually lied.

He could not exactly say that he had learned about it from the future.

Even so, Sasuke was extremely excited.

However, he then remembered that he had already handed the Shadow Clone Jutsu scroll to Kenichi.

Thankfully, Kenichi did not make things difficult for him.

He quickly returned the scroll to Sasuke, allowed him to copy the contents, and then took the original scroll back.

”Study it by yourself first. I need to go home and make breakfast for Naruto.”

Kenichi glanced at the sky.

It was almost time for Naruto to wake up.

He needed to head back.

Naruto was too lazy to cook. If Kenichi was not there, Naruto would probably make a bowl of ramen, drink a glass of milk, and then run off to school.

Earlier, when Kenichi had taken Naruto shopping, he had seen the boy buy five cartons of milk.

Kenichi suspected that if Naruto lived alone, he would not finish them before they expired.

Sasuke nodded blankly.

He watched Kenichi’s hurried figure slowly disappear beneath the streetlights and involuntarily fell into thought.

Once upon a time, before that man had gone mad, everything had been so wonderful.

He had a brother who loved him and parents who cared for him.

But now, he had nothing.

Merely recalling that painful night caused Sasuke’s heart to throb.

His body began to heat up, and his head grew slightly dizzy, as if something within him was about to burst forth.

Sasuke shook his head, dispelling the discomfort in his mind.

He took a deep breath, and the name he had repeated day and night once again surfaced in his thoughts.

Sasuke angrily tightened his grip around the scroll.

One day, I will kill that man with my own hands!

”Everyone, focus on your practice!”

Iruka stood at the front of the classroom, explaining his experience as a ninja.

However, when his gaze fell upon Naruto and Sasuke, he could not help taking a deep breath.

Those two brats!

They were looking at something else during his lesson!

But there was little he could do.

Although Naruto was somewhat scatterbrained, he was not careless with his studies.

If he became distracted, his newly recognized older brother would beat some sense into him.

Because of that, Naruto’s performance had become quite good.

In the teachers’ eyes, Naruto passing the graduation exam would not be a major problem.

He had successfully passed the previous two mock examinations.

Only the written examination was somewhat troublesome.

Naruto did not seem to have much talent for answering theoretical questions.

As for Teacher Kenichi, he was remarkable.

He was the most mysterious teacher in the entire academy.

Iruka did not even know Kenichi’s exact identity and could only suspect that he was an Anbu ninja.

There was even less need to discuss Sasuke.

He was the genius student of the class.

When Iruka had once sparred with Sasuke, the boy frightened him badly enough to make him break out in a cold sweat.

Who would have expected a Ninja Academy student to already be capable of using Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu in actual combat?

However, some teachers did not consider this particularly unusual.

They had seen even more talented ninja in the past.

Those teachers would sigh and say something like, ”Young ninja these days...” before bringing up a certain genius who had become a jonin at twelve years old and sighing again.

”Whew. It’s normal for geniuses to have their own ideas...”

Iruka prepared himself mentally and continued his lesson.

He was teaching the Transformation Jutsu.

Although the graduation examination’s exact content had not yet been announced, the genin exam usually tested one of the Three Basic Jutsu, with only occasional variations.

Teaching the Three Basic Jutsu was always a safe choice.

”What are you two looking at?”

After class, Iruka could no longer hold back and walked over to ask.

”The Shadow Clone Jutsu, Sensei.”

Sasuke held up the scroll in his hand.

It had to be said that the Shadow Clone Jutsu was indeed much more difficult than the ordinary Clone Jutsu, and its effectiveness was also closely related to the user’s chakra reserves.

Sasuke did not possess much chakra.

But he was willing to pay any price to become stronger.

”As expected of an Uchiha.”

Iruka rubbed his nose.

He naturally knew about the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

It was a B-rank ninjutsu that was extremely difficult to master.

Even for Iruka, learning this technique would not be easy.

Yet Sasuke had not even passed the graduation examination or become a genin, and he was already attempting to learn it.

However, after thinking about the exceptionally talented ninja the older generation often mentioned, Iruka abandoned the idea of dissuading him.

”If you can use the Shadow Clone Jutsu, then you definitely won’t have any problems with the graduation exam.”

Iruka patted Naruto on the shoulder.

His feelings toward Naruto were complicated, but he was still very tolerant of the boy and had watched him slowly grow.

”Iruka-sensei, I’ll do my best!”

Naruto smiled and nodded.

Kenichi stood outside the classroom and shook his head.

Was Naruto’s talent poor?

In Kenichi’s opinion, his newly recognized younger brother possessed outstanding talent.

The problem was that Naruto could not settle down when learning ninjutsu, which caused him to perform terribly with the Transformation Jutsu.

But once something truly interested him, even mastering the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu would not be a problem.

”Let’s go. It’s time for your physical assessment.”

Kenichi picked up the bento.

Naruto also consciously picked up his own.

But then Naruto froze, because he saw that Sasuke was actually following them.

Naruto glared at Sasuke, but still kept pace with his older brother.

Sasuke did not care.

He only wanted to become stronger.

At the training ground, Naruto showed a gleeful smile as he watched Sasuke grit his teeth and stretch.

He remembered how his older brother had once tormented him in exactly the same way.

Back then, it had not been easy for Naruto to touch his toes with his hands.

Of course, after training with Kenichi, Naruto could now easily reach his feet.

He had never expected to see the poker faced boy in his class make such a strained expression.

It was truly interesting.

”Hmm. Your body’s flexibility is a little poor.”

Kenichi looked at Sasuke’s hands.

Sasuke could touch his toes, but doing so was very difficult.

Kenichi had even asked him to try touching his toes with his palms.

However, having this much of a foundation was already good.

Young people’s bodies were more adaptable.

Once they reached adulthood, those who did not exercise regularly and had stiff bodies would find it nearly impossible to reach their feet.

”Naruto, go practice tree climbing.”

Kenichi did not turn his head, but he knew his younger brother had finished eating and rested long enough, so he casually gave the order.

”Okay, big brother.”

Although Naruto was a bit disappointed that he could not continue watching Sasuke struggle, he obediently walked over to a tree and began preparing to climb.

Panting, Sasuke watched Naruto’s movements.

Then he saw Naruto walk directly up the trunk as if he were strolling across flat ground.

Sasuke’s eyes widened.

”What? Has no one ever taught you this method of training chakra control?”

Kenichi raised an eyebrow.

It was one thing for Sasuke not to know about the Shadow Clone Jutsu’s effects.

But now he did not even know about tree climbing or water walking?

That was somewhat unacceptable.

Sasuke shook his head.

He truly knew nothing about them.

Seeing this, Kenichi could only suppress the doubts in his heart.

He knew Sasuke’s past and understood that it was a painful wound the boy did not want reopened.

It was better not to expose it.

”Come on. Let’s continue the assessment.”

Kenichi clapped his hands and continued testing Sasuke’s physical condition.

Soon, Sasuke’s physical data had been fully recorded.

Kenichi looked at the information in his hand with an expressionless face.

The people of the Shinobi World were indeed extraordinary beings, especially ninja.

After refining chakra, their physical condition would be greatly strengthened.

At this moment, Sasuke’s physical fitness was already comparable to that of an ordinary adult.

However, compared to Naruto or Lee, he was still somewhat inferior.

”So, regarding your training plan, I think...”

Kenichi stroked his chin.

Sasuke’s physical foundation was quite good.

Combined with the Lightning Release ninjutsu Sasuke would develop in the future, Kenichi felt there would be no problem with guiding him toward a more muscular physique.

However, as Kenichi looked at Sasuke, his hand began to itch.

He wanted to try something.

He wanted to see whether he could awaken Sasuke’s Sharingan.

The current Sasuke should already possess the physical qualifications necessary to awaken it.

Kenichi could perhaps even make Sasuke awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan directly.

It would definitely be very interesting if the Itachi of this world saw that.

Thinking of this, Kenichi revealed a playful smile.
