Naruto: Orochimaru's Disciple

Chapter 540: Chapter 540: The Orthodox Naruto

Chapter 540: The Orthodox Naruto

”Classmates, in this new semester, I hope everyone can embody what it means to be a student.”

Hiruzen stood on the stage giving a speech.

His voice was not particularly impassioned, but the children below were more excited than ever.

Except for two.

Hiruzen’s gaze swept over the excited crowd, then landed on Naruto and Sasuke.

The behavior of these two children was extremely different.

Extremely contrasting.

He knew Sasuke.

Because of that night of the clan annihilation, Sasuke’s heart was filled with hatred.

As for Kenichi...

This child was incredibly mature, acting like an adult despite being only a child.

Beside Sasuke was Naruto, whose eyes were shining.

Naruto was looking at Hiruzen eagerly, showing that he, too, was a child who could embody the Will of Fire.

Hiruzen continued to gently speak of his Will of Fire.

This time, he had come to see the two children of the Fourth Hokage.

Otherwise, the opening ceremony of the Ninja Academy would not have been on his schedule at all.

As the Hokage of Konoha, Hiruzen had many responsibilities.

”Yawn.”

Kenichi yawned.

He could not help it.

Whenever he heard leaders rambling on and on, he would involuntarily feel sleepy.

Could this be some kind of genjutsu?

Kenichi sighed.

He looked at his hands, a hint of helplessness on his face.

He truly had not expected to be sent to another timeline.

A future timeline.

And in this timeline, the Third Hokage had not died yet and was still active.

Naruto’s unfortunate past also remained unchanged.

He had become an orphan, living a life despised by both humans and ghosts in this world.

When the old man, the Third Hokage, finally finished his rambling, Kenichi was finally freed.

He took young Naruto back to class, ready to begin their student life for the day.

Kenichi had now found his new identity.

A teacher at Konoha’s Ninja Academy.

The youngest teacher in the entire Konoha Academy.

And also a jonin.

However, to achieve this goal, Kenichi had paid a price.

But he had also gained something.

Such as successfully becoming Naruto’s older brother.

Naruto had voluntarily taken on the role of the younger brother, and Kenichi had gone to great lengths to ensure that his identity was not doubted.

”Come out and fight.”

A cold voice sounded.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

He turned his head and saw Sasuke leaning against the classroom doorway with his arms crossed, looking at him.

Then the classroom filled with the squeals of infatuated young girls.

”Why is this poker face here again?”

Naruto pouted.

His beloved Sakura was particularly obsessed with this poker face, which was really annoying.

Of course, he would not say that out loud.

Kenichi glanced at his younger brother, said nothing more, and ignored Sasuke’s request.

He focused on reading the Ninja Academy textbook, appearing to be a diligent, good teacher.

Sasuke frowned slightly at the sight and was about to say something, but the class bell rang immediately, interrupting his thoughts.

He could only glare at Kenichi, then walked in and sat down in his seat with a displeased expression.

”I suddenly regret it. I should have known not to become a teacher...”

Kenichi sighed, but he could only begin teaching today’s lesson.

Sasuke glanced at Kenichi and said nothing.

Instead, he assumed a classic commander like posture and quietly attended class.

Kenichi shook his head.

He and Sasuke did not have much connection to begin with.

Although he knew of the Uchiha Clan’s misfortune, after he was sent to this strange timeline, what should not have happened had already happened, and what had happened had already happened.

The Uchiha Clan had been annihilated.

So that day, Sasuke transformed from a relatively cheerful and optimistic person into a taciturn avenger.

For revenge, the enraged Sasuke trained diligently every day, becoming the class’s little genius.

Until this little genius of the class met Kenichi.

During a simulated spar with Kenichi, Sasuke was struck in the chin by Kenichi’s Sky Piercing Cannon Punch, causing him to pass out.

As a result, Sasuke became completely fixated on defeating him, which also troubled Kenichi.

The Ninja Academy era was quite relaxed.

He only needed to teach very basic ninjutsu, such as the Substitution Jutsu for escaping restraints, as well as the Transformation Jutsu, the Clone Jutsu, and so on.

When it was time for lunch break at noon, Kenichi took Naruto out of the classroom and went to the school’s training ground to begin their daily basic training.

”Naruto, your punches need to be hard, accurate, and fast. Remember to guard your center line.”

Kenichi watched his newly recognized younger brother, guiding him in his training, then began his own daily exercise.

Naruto also began to train earnestly, step by step.

Kenichi glanced at Naruto.

Actually, at first, he thought this world was just another genjutsu world, until he found that his body had no restrictions, his cheat was there, and his powerful strength was also there.

But at that time, Kenichi did not pay too much attention to these things.

Instead, he wanted to find a way to break this ninjutsu.

But after interacting with Naruto, becoming Naruto’s older brother, then beating up the Third Hokage and coercing him into reluctantly acknowledging him as a Konoha ninja, Kenichi belatedly realized that this world was very wrong.

As everyone knew, humans generally could not imagine things beyond their cognition.

This did not mean imagining illusory creatures, like Cthulhu or angels.

Rather, it meant that humans could not imagine something they had never truly seen.

What was Cthulhu?

Tentacles, octopuses, and so on.

From this, it could be seen that when humans described an illusory creature, they often used relatively easy to understand terms rather than more fundamental concepts.

So if this was truly Otsutsuki Isshiki’s genjutsu, then Kenichi did not understand why Otsutsuki Isshiki could conceive of the plot development of the orthodox Naruto.

This was not scientific.

Nor was it ninjutsu.

”Hey, big brother, which of the girls in our class do you think is prettier?”

On the plum blossom stakes, Kenichi and Naruto were eating lunch, a bento made by Kenichi.

Naruto mumbled the question while eating.

Kenichi glanced at Naruto.

Sure enough, conversations between boys always inevitably drifted toward girls.

And children in the Shinobi World seemed to mature earlier.

They could become ninja at their current age.

According to Kenichi’s understanding, during wartime, they would probably already be on the battlefield killing enemies.

Hmm.

Thanks to peacetime.

”They’re all about the same.”

Kenichi swallowed the octopus sausage in his mouth.

”Sakura... Sakura Haruno? Big brother, don’t you think she’s quite cute?”

Naruto was Naruto after all, and he quickly revealed his true thoughts.

Kenichi expressionlessly picked up a piece of green pepper and put it in his mouth.

The slightly bitter taste was not very good, but he did not care.

This bit of bitterness was completely insignificant compared to the hardships he had endured in the orphanage.

”Sakura Haruno? She’s all right, just a bit of a lovestruck fool.”

Kenichi pouted.

His impression of Sakura Haruno was not very good.

In the original manga, Sakura had told Sasuke that Naruto was an ill mannered child.

She had also talked about how Naruto, as an orphan, was this and that.

It had been fine in the manga.

But now, he was Naruto’s older brother.

If Sakura still said such things, he would not hold back.

Moreover, compared to Sakura, Kenichi felt that the Hyuga Clan’s young lady was more suitable for his foolish younger brother.

It was just a pity that Naruto had not realized this feeling yet.

”Lovestruck fool?”

Naruto blinked.

He did not know what that phrase meant.

”All right, Naruto. The graduation exam is coming soon. How is your practice of the Three Basic Jutsu?”

Kenichi did not want to say much more on this topic.

He turned his head and asked Naruto.

In the original work, the graduation exam tested the Transformation Jutsu, and Naruto failed, which led to the incident of stealing the Forbidden Scroll, allowing Naruto to master the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

But now, with his appearance, Kenichi did not know whether the plot would change.

Kenichi regretted his recklessness back then.

Otherwise, he could have found more fun.

”Of course I’ve mastered them! Don’t worry, big brother! I’ve practiced every ninjutsu seriously!”

Naruto proudly gave a thumbs up.

Kenichi smiled when he heard that.

The Ninja Academy graduation exam usually involved randomly drawing one of the Three Basic Jutsu.

The more advanced versions of the Three Basic Jutsu were not for students who were not even genin yet.

But even so, the Three Basic Jutsu could still eliminate a portion of people.

However, with Kenichi’s guidance, Naruto had gained some understanding of the Transformation Jutsu, which had been his most difficult technique.

At the very least, it prevented the situation in the original work where he could not pass the exam at all.

”That’s what you say, but I still hope you review properly. If you can’t pass the assessment then...”

Kenichi kindly pressed down on Naruto’s shoulder.

Naruto nervously swallowed.

Every time his older brother smiled so kindly and pressed his shoulder, it meant he was absolutely serious.

At such times, it was best not to defy his older brother’s words.

Otherwise, his older brother’s punches really hurt.

”I’ll train hard!”

Naruto declared loudly.

Kenichi nodded in satisfaction at the sight.

But if it did not develop according to the original work, what about the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu?

Would Mizuki honestly give up?

Or would he find another way?

Tsk.

It was really troublesome.

Just as Kenichi was about to take Naruto back to the classroom to rest until class started, he saw a kid with his hands in his pockets emerge from the shadows nearby.

It was Sasuke.

”Let’s fight.”

Sasuke looked at Kenichi seriously.

In their last match, he had been defeated by Kenichi with a single close range strike.

That was an unforgettable lesson for Sasuke, who was determined to seek revenge.

Although Kenichi was a teacher, his casual expression at the time had deeply hurt Sasuke’s pride.

Sasuke did not believe he could be that weak.

”You’re really persistent...”

Kenichi sighed.

But seeing Sasuke’s serious eyes, he knew that if he did not fight, Sasuke would probably keep bothering him.

Kenichi scratched his head.

Should he go easy on Sasuke?

Let him win?

But before he could decide, Sasuke suddenly rushed forward, kicking toward his neck with force that was quite good for his age.

However, Kenichi was not too concerned.

Was Sasuke’s strength great?

Not really.

After all, Sasuke’s taijutsu training was not particularly outstanding.

Although it was clear that Sasuke had done some taijutsu training because of him, it was not enough for Kenichi.

”Attacking an opponent’s strength with your weakness? How foolish.”

Kenichi yawned, then directly grabbed Sasuke’s foot.

Sasuke turned into a log.

Substitution Jutsu?

”Now’s the time!”

At that moment, Sasuke appeared behind Kenichi.

Then he quickly formed hand seals, ending with the Tiger seal, and immediately unleashed Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu.

Surging flames rushed toward Kenichi’s back, but Sasuke felt little relief.

The Great Fireball could be dangerous for Ninja Academy students, but Sasuke knew it was useless against this guy.

Kenichi was a teacher.

And the most special teacher in the school.

Last time, he had also used the Great Fireball Jutsu in desperation, and the result was...

”Too slow.”

A familiar phrase.

Then Sasuke saw a figure appear below his field of vision.

Sasuke instinctively crossed his arms to defend.

But with a sharp pain in his chest, Sasuke flew backward in the next second, slamming hard into a tree.

Looking at Sasuke, who was bleeding from the corner of his mouth, Kenichi ran a hand through his hair.

Then he turned to look at the crater behind him caused by the Great Fireball Jutsu and pouted.

Should he say it lived up to its name as the Great Fireball Jutsu?

Its power was indeed quite good.

At least for Sasuke’s age, such a performance was already very impressive.

”Your reaction is much faster. Try harder next time.”

Kenichi waved his hand, then walked away with a triumphant Naruto.

It was just defeating a kid.

There was nothing to be proud of.

Sasuke gritted his teeth and stood up.

It was like this again!

Last time, he had also been like this.

He had used the Great Fireball, but it was dodged.

The next second he saw Kenichi, he was sent flying.

But that time, he could not react at all.

Kenichi narrowed his eyes.

He did not know how he had gotten here.

When he opened his eyes, he saw something flying away.

Kenichi suspected that thing was related to his transmigration to this timeline.

But during this period, he had not found that thing.
