Chapter 508: Minato Namikaze: What? I’m Going to Be a Father?

”Amamiya Kenichi, you’ve been living quite comfortably lately.”

Black Zetsu looked at Kenichi, a hint of anger and jealousy in his eyes.

He had been running around the world like an idiot, all to find that damned Jigen.

But what about Kenichi?

This scoundrel looked much healthier than before, with a rosy complexion and a nauseatingly contented expression.

It made Black Zetsu’s teeth itch.

He wished he could give Kenichi a harsh lesson right now and show him the anger of a laborer.

Moreover, Black Zetsu had been running around every day, while this guy had not even thought about mobilizing his subordinates to help search. Instead, Kenichi actually had the leisure to squat in this laboratory and do experiments.

Black Zetsu felt uncomfortable all over just looking at Kenichi now.

He felt a suppressed urge to kill him on the spot, but he had to hold back for the sake of the plan.

Black Zetsu clenched his fists tightly.

If Kenichi did not give him an explanation, he would quit.

Ah, no.

He could not just quit.

After all, this was related to his mother.

Without Kenichi’s cooperation, or if Kenichi single-mindedly caused trouble for him and Madara, then smoothly executing the Eye of the Moon Plan would become extremely difficult and troublesome.

Thinking of this, Black Zetsu’s mood became even worse.

He could not deal with Kenichi, but not dealing with him made him feel terrible.

Black Zetsu was on the verge of collapsing because of Kenichi.

He could only stand there with his arms crossed, watching Kenichi.

”Oh? Actually, it’s pretty good. I go to bed early and wake up early every day, then eat three meals a day and exercise. This life is indeed very comfortable.”

Kenichi deliberately pretended not to understand Black Zetsu’s meaning.

He had indeed been living a very comfortable life lately.

In fact, it was almost excessive.

After all, he was now the monarch of this country.

Although Kenichi had never thought of himself that way, there was always a group of people under him who provided him with all the services a monarch should enjoy.

This led to Kenichi now eating, drinking, and using the best of everything every day.

As for such a feudalistic life of enjoyment, Kenichi could only say that it was indeed very refreshing.

No wonder those Daimyo wanted to maintain their status no matter what.

However, looking at Black Zetsu’s expression, Kenichi also knew that jokes had to be measured.

So he decided to throw out his bait and distract Black Zetsu’s attention.

Then Kenichi could continue doing his experiments in peace.

However, Kenichi was not worried about what Black Zetsu would do now.

After all, the Three-Tails and Five-Tails had not yet revived.

As long as they were not revived, Black Zetsu could not do anything no matter what he wanted.

Black Zetsu and Madara would not fall out with him over this small matter.

Therefore, Kenichi was fearless.

As long as the Tailed Beasts had not revived, Kenichi had nothing to fear.

He could also take advantage of this time to fully exploit Black Zetsu’s labor, then try to study Black Zetsu’s special abilities and see how Black Zetsu managed to hide himself so naturally.

However, Kenichi’s chakra detector had not yet been completed.

Otherwise, Kenichi could have used the chakra detector to detect Black Zetsu and then see if he could find the hidden Black Zetsu.

”You guy...”

Black Zetsu could not hold back when he heard Kenichi’s reply.

He looked at Kenichi, gritting his teeth.

If he did not need Kenichi’s help to revive his mother, Black Zetsu swore he really would have had the urge to rush up and kill Kenichi.

Black Zetsu took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.

He looked around.

Kenichi’s laboratory was very simple, with nothing special, and the decoration was also plain and unpretentious.

Compared to Black Zetsu’s own secret base, it was much more rudimentary.

This made Black Zetsu feel slightly more comfortable.

”I thought of a question earlier.”

Kenichi interrupted Black Zetsu, speaking with a serious expression.

Black Zetsu looked confused when he heard this, then stared at Kenichi.

He wanted to see what Kenichi had discovered.

Black Zetsu himself had been running around every day and had not found anything.

So how had Kenichi managed to discover something?

Could it be that his foresight was very advanced?

Or was Kenichi also silently contributing without him knowing, all to find Jigen as soon as possible and help him complete the Eye of the Moon Plan?

If that was the case, Black Zetsu would be quite touched.

However, he did not know what Kenichi had discovered, so Black Zetsu still chose to sit down and continue listening to what Kenichi had to say.

”Jigen, according to your description, is an extremely arrogant and conceited fellow. So for such a guy, if he was suddenly discovered and forced to change his base location, where would he move his base? Where would he move it to best match his personality?”

Kenichi spoke lightly.

Black Zetsu fell into deep thought after hearing this.

He had indeed never considered this angle.

When he considered the opponent’s possible hiding places, he had always thought about where the opponent might hide based on the living habits of the Otsutsuki Clan.

After all, in Black Zetsu’s mind, although Jigen was an enemy, he was also a high and mighty Otsutsuki Clan member.

He could not be the same as these stupid guys in the Shinobi World.

So Black Zetsu had been looking for places where he thought the opponent might be hiding.

But now, after hearing Kenichi’s words, Black Zetsu also had some other ideas.

If Kenichi was right, then Jigen did not hide in a place the Otsutsuki Clan would choose, but rather in a place that arrogant fellow himself would choose.

So where could he be hiding?

As soon as Black Zetsu thought of this, he immediately thought of the Akatsuki.

The base he had found earlier was beneath the Akatsuki.

That meant Jigen had been hiding beneath the Akatsuki all along.

This had made Black Zetsu extremely angry at the time.

Because the location of his hiding place proved that he had been monitoring the Akatsuki all along, and might even have known everything within the Akatsuki, but he had still remained hidden and never come forward.

When the Akatsuki held meetings, he might have been sitting below, sneering at the scene.

Thinking about it this way, it indeed fit Jigen’s personality.

His arrogant attitude, completely looking down on Madara, was also the reason Madara had been so enraged.

After all, in the past, it was always Madara who looked down on others.

He had never expected to experience the feeling of being looked down upon one day.

So the question was, if Kenichi was right, where would Jigen hide?

What kind of place would someone with such a twisted sense of humor and a habit of despising his opponents choose?

Thinking of this, Black Zetsu suddenly looked at the ground.

Then he raised his head and looked at Kenichi, his eyes filled with disbelief, surprise, and uncertainty.

However, looking at Black Zetsu’s expression, Kenichi knew that Black Zetsu must have figured it out.

Kenichi nodded, confirming Black Zetsu’s idea.

Black Zetsu’s expression suddenly changed.

His eyes became obscure and difficult to read.

Kenichi knew how Black Zetsu was feeling right now.

It must have felt very bad, and also somewhat absurd.

But that was exactly what Jigen wanted to see.

For Jigen, watching these ordinary people waste their efforts trying to find him, only to finally discover that his base had been in the most conspicuous place in the entire Shinobi World all along, would certainly be very interesting.

It would also make those people feel the strongest sense of frustration.

After all, thinking that the enemy was in the busiest place, yet they had not realized it, how ironic was that?

”I’ll go check!”

Black Zetsu left in a hurry.

But looking at his demeanor, Kenichi knew he must have figured it out.

It was good that he had figured it out.

Kenichi was very satisfied.

If Black Zetsu had not figured it out, how would he find Jigen?

Let Black Zetsu search for him, and then Kenichi would make the decision.

If Jigen really chose to build his base beneath the capital, then he probably had the idea of using this city as leverage.

Kenichi mused that if Jigen really thought that way, Kenichi could only say he was thinking too simply.

Kenichi would not be held hostage by a city.

If necessary, Kenichi could sacrifice this city.

As long as Jigen died, then everything would be worth it.

At most, he would just use the Rinnegan to revive these people, and that would be the end of it.

It would not cause Kenichi any psychological burden.

Therefore, Kenichi could face this matter calmly.

”I hope it’s as I think, Jigen. You, being so proud, surely wouldn’t choose any other place, right?”

Kenichi stretched.

Once Jigen was found, he could tell Madara, then have Madara find a way to obtain Jigen’s blood.

After that, he would have Hidan perform the curse technique to verify whether Jigen would be affected by it.

If he was, then things would be simple.

If not, it would not matter.

At least the strongest in the Shinobi World, Madara, was still with him.

As long as Madara did not say something like, ”You are the challenger,” and then have a dramatic near-death experience, Kenichi felt that Madara’s ability to hold back Jigen would not be a big problem.

At that time, as long as Kenichi had enough time, he could give that idiot Jigen a big surprise.

So what Kenichi needed most right now was time.

”Uncle Minato, Aunt Kushina, good morning.”

On the other side, Sasuke was politely and honestly greeting Minato and Kushina.

Kushina immediately showed a happy smile.

She walked over and pinched Sasuke’s face, then smiled and rubbed Sasuke’s head.

Sasuke turned his head away, a little embarrassed.

”Oh, little Sasuke, good morning! Are you here to play with our Naruto again today?”

Kushina smiled as she looked at the little boy in front of her.

Sasuke immediately nodded when he heard her.

When Kushina saw this, the smile on her face became even gentler.

She waved her hand, and Naruto walked out, yawning.

He greeted Sasuke when he saw him, and Sasuke also smiled and greeted Naruto.

Kushina and Mikoto had a very good relationship, and their two families were considered friends.

If Minato, the Fourth Hokage, had not died back then, then the Uchiha Clan massacre might not have happened later.

But Minato still died, which made the relationship between the Uchiha Clan and Konoha tense once again.

Coupled with the instigation of the Third Hokage and Danzo, it could be said that the demise of the Uchiha Clan had only been a matter of time.

”Good morning, Sasuke.”

Naruto sat on the chair with a smile, waiting to have breakfast with Sasuke.

Although Sasuke had already eaten, Kushina clearly still wanted Sasuke to have another meal.

This made Sasuke feel somewhat unable to refuse, so he could only sit down.

At the same time, he secretly thanked his mother for specifically telling him to eat less when he left for the morning meeting today.

It seemed his mother had already guessed that he would be asked to stay for a meal when he came to Aunt Kushina’s place.

Looking at Naruto and Sasuke, Minato had a faint smile on his face.

Then Minato stood in front of the mirror, tidying his attire.

At the same time, he responded to the polite and sensible Sasuke’s good morning.

After that, he walked over and ruffled Naruto’s head, then prepared to leave.

Minato now worked in the Department of Political Affairs, and every day he had to deal with various matters throughout the country.

This made Minato both pained and happy.

However, Minato quite liked this kind of life.

Although it was tiring, there was a sense of fulfillment.

And from those political affairs, he could see the country improving little by little.

This made Minato very happy, giving him a sense of nurturing something with his own hands.

”Dear, work hard. Come home early. Your love bento is ready.”

Kushina walked over with a smile and handed Minato a small bag.

Minato happily took it.

He held the bento in his hand and looked at his gentle wife, his eyes filled with happiness.

Before Minato could say anything, Kushina leaned close to his ear and whispered something.

Minato froze when he heard it.

He looked at his wife in surprise, his eyes still filled with disbelief.

”Really?!”

Minato grabbed his wife’s shoulders, his eyes slightly excited.

Kushina felt the gazes of the two children and her face turned a little red, but she still nodded shyly.

Minato instantly became happy.

He was going to be a father!

Although they already had Naruto, having a second child was still a joyous occasion.
