Naruto: Orochimaru's Disciple

Chapter 528: Chapter 528: Karma

Chapter 528: Karma

Kenichi gazed into the distance.

From the desert, constant roars of explosions echoed, accompanied by intermittent flashes of fire and light.

Kenichi scratched his head.

It was already late at night, but neither Madara nor Otsutsuki Isshiki showed any signs of backing down.

This time, they were determined to kill each other, which pleased Kenichi.

As long as Otsutsuki Isshiki could be killed, Kenichi would have enough time to slowly research and continuously compress his chakra, allowing him to master Six Paths Sage Mode as soon as possible.

This would make it easier to deal with these troublesome enemies.

However, if Otsutsuki Isshiki still did not die after this, Kenichi truly did not know what to do.

After all, he had already done everything he could.

The only remaining option was a hydrogen bomb.

But hydrogen bombs were difficult to produce and required a very high concentration of materials.

Ordinary amounts were somewhat insufficient.

”These guys... I wonder how long this battle will last?”

Kenichi watched the distant battle with some curiosity.

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, although Kishimoto took a long time to draw the beginning of the war all the way to its end, if placed within the Naruto timeline, the Fourth Shinobi World War only lasted for several days.

In reality, the most intense fighting only lasted three to four days.

If Naruto and Sasuke’s duel was included, it might add another day or so.

So the Fourth Shinobi World War was actually very short.

Therefore, Kenichi felt that Otsutsuki Isshiki’s battle would not last long either.

Perhaps Kishimoto could draw it for years, but in reality, a battle lasting three days would already be extremely exaggerated.

After all, a ninja’s chakra was often limited.

Although someone like Otsutsuki Isshiki was an anomaly, Kenichi did not think he could last too long.

Based on Kenichi’s speculation about Otsutsuki Isshiki, he probably would not drag it out.

Others might, but Otsutsuki Isshiki definitely would not.

This old man was severely injured.

Although it was unclear how much he had recovered, he was certainly not in full condition.

Therefore, he definitely could not drag it out and would inevitably erupt with everything he had in an attempt to take out his enemy.

At that point, it would depend on the Sage of Six Paths’ methods.

”Forget it.”

Kenichi shook his head.

He had originally thought about going over to take a look, but remembering that the Sage of Six Paths and Madara were both there, Kenichi gave up on the idea.

For Kenichi, the Sage of Six Paths and Madara were also his enemies.

Madara was still quite troublesome.

And if the Sage of Six Paths gave him some power, he would probably become even more troublesome.

If Kenichi went over and something went wrong, it would be problematic.

So Kenichi decided not to go.

He planned to quietly research his hydrogen bomb weapon.

The hydrogen bomb was a weapon Kenichi was currently researching.

Unlike atomic bombs, which fought through nuclear fission, hydrogen bombs used nuclear fission to trigger nuclear fusion, releasing even more massive energy and ultimately detonating with greater power.

The largest nuclear weapon hydrogen bomb ever detonated in human history was the Tsar Bomba.

When it exploded, radio communications across the entire Earth were affected for a long time.

There were even rumors that it caused an entire continent to shift by nine millimeters.

While that was not a huge distance, it was still enough to move an entire continent.

This was undoubtedly the strongest hydrogen bomb ever tested in human history.

And it had even been a reduced-yield version.

If the yield had not been reduced, it could have led to even more troublesome results.

However, for the current Kenichi, making a hydrogen bomb was not a problem.

The nuclear physics books had already mentioned how to make a hydrogen bomb.

The current difficulty lay in how to collect enough raw materials.

Kenichi was currently in a situation where even a clever housewife could not cook without rice.

Although he knew how to make a hydrogen bomb, he still needed to collect enough raw materials.

Kenichi planned to entrust this work to the people of the Land of Flame.

After all, collecting so many things was not easy for one person.

It was better to gather ideas from many people.

Moreover, after obtaining these materials, Kenichi would still need to spend time making the hydrogen bomb and then attempting to detonate it.

Kenichi issued this order to Shiori, who then conveyed it to the other departments.

Instantly, the entire Land of Flame began to operate.

Countless people started going out to try and collect what Kenichi needed.

Although there was no particularly clear description, Kenichi had already explained how to prepare deuterium.

So all that was needed was to produce a batch of equipment specifically for extracting and storing deuterium.

It could be said that the difficulty of making a hydrogen bomb and an atomic bomb was different.

As long as an atomic bomb could be made, a hydrogen bomb usually would not take too long.

Once a person entered a state of concentration, time seemed to pass quickly.

Conversely, the more one wished for time to pass quickly, the slower it felt.

Kenichi was currently in such a state.

He looked at the objects before him, focusing on processing them.

He was preparing deuterium, which could be extracted from heavy water.

However, as he extracted it, Kenichi still had to go and absorb, refine, and compress chakra.

Currently, Samehada was devouring chakra at a rate of two chakra portions per hour.

In order to enter Six Paths Sage Mode as quickly as possible, Kenichi could only continuously refine and compress chakra.

The effect of this was that the rate at which chakra accumulated within his cells became much faster.

The cost, however, was that the white areas on Kenichi’s body were slowly expanding.

For this reason, Kenichi had to use the Transformation Jutsu even in the laboratory, just to prevent Black Zetsu from discovering the abnormalities in his body.

Of course, to have an excuse, Kenichi also made some subtle changes.

After Kenichi extracted a considerable amount of chakra, and the chakra content in his body’s cells became clearer, Kenichi was slightly stunned.

He had an extra item in his hand.

Kenichi looked down, then hurried out.

The sky outside was still dark.

Kenichi did not delay and quickly flew toward the battlefield.

Soon, Kenichi saw a ground full of Edo Tensei ashes at the edge of the battlefield, as well as Hashirama with both arms missing and Madara with one arm missing.

They were both staring at a black block in front of them.

Kenichi walked over to take a look.

That black object should be Otsutsuki Isshiki.

But the battlefield was also very tragic.

Besides Hashirama and Madara, everyone else was gone.

Kenichi looked at the collapsed Edo Tensei bodies and knew the fate of those Kage.

”Is he dead?”

Kenichi asked as he looked at the mass that was Otsutsuki Isshiki.

This Otsutsuki looked quite pitiful, but Kenichi only wanted to get information about Otsutsuki Isshiki from Madara and Hashirama.

Nevertheless, Kenichi still walked over and cautiously poked Otsutsuki Isshiki with chakra from a distance.

Then he picked up a kunai and threw it in.

The kunai pierced Otsutsuki Isshiki’s body, but he still showed no reaction.

Kenichi was very satisfied.

It seemed he could examine Otsutsuki Isshiki’s condition and then collect some biological material from his corpse to research Otsutsuki Isshiki’s genetic information.

The only pity was that Otsutsuki Isshiki was dead, so Kenichi could not obtain any other information from him.

”He’s not dead yet.”

The voice belonged to the Sage of Six Paths.

Kenichi instinctively took a step back, moving farther away from the Sage of Six Paths.

When Madara heard this, a hint of astonishment still appeared in his eyes.

He looked at the black lump before him.

This guy still was not dead even at this point?

This was truly a miracle of life.

Could he also have something like Izanagi?

But Madara had long prepared for that possibility.

Such a situation should not occur.

Madara was somewhat bewildered.

”Otsutsuki Hagoromo, I didn’t expect you to still be in the Pure Land. Is this how you plan to fight against the clan?”

At this moment, Otsutsuki Isshiki slowly got up.

As he rose, all the black mud on his body began to peel off, and he quickly returned to his original appearance.

However, looking at Otsutsuki Isshiki, Kenichi felt as if the guy had put on smoky eye makeup, which made Kenichi inexplicably amused.

Otsutsuki Isshiki’s current makeup looked like those non-mainstream styles from before, only with less hair.

If he had more hair, it might have looked even more unique.

However, looking at Otsutsuki Isshiki, Kenichi inexplicably felt a sense of crisis, as if some monster was reviving within him.

”Otsutsuki Isshiki... Is this Karma? You...”

A look of shock flashed in the Sage of Six Paths’ eyes.

Before Kenichi could even ponder what Karma meant, he saw Otsutsuki Isshiki’s entire body change.

Another form, one that in no way resembled a normal human, appeared before Kenichi and the Sage of Six Paths.

A hint of despair flashed in Madara’s eyes.

He had originally thought he was strong.

But only when facing an opponent of this caliber did he realize what helplessness truly meant.

He and Hashirama had fought together, painstakingly managing to kill this god.

At that moment, Madara had even felt that a god was nothing more than that.

Although the opponent’s strength was indeed formidable, merely entering that stage in the first instant had caused heavy casualties among the Kage.

The second stage had completely killed those Kage, even leaving him with one arm missing.

But had they not ultimately won?

Yet now, looking at Otsutsuki Isshiki, his physical condition seemed completely normal.

There were no issues whatsoever, and his strength was even more terrifying.

Kenichi remained silent.

He really wanted to throw his controller right now.

He had finally defeated the boss, thinking it was over and he could loot the body.

But then the background music suddenly changed, and the boss started muttering strange, unknown words before standing up once again.

Then the system tells you, ”Congratulations, you have successfully entered Boss Phase Two.”

Anyone would have the urge to smash their phone.

Kenichi currently had the urge to smash his phone.

Now, Otsutsuki Isshiki seemed to have released some kind of restriction, while Madara and Hashirama had become crippled and appeared to have no more fighting power.

So what should they do against this Otsutsuki Isshiki?

Kenichi’s gaze fell on the Sage of Six Paths beside him.

The Sage of Six Paths looked at Otsutsuki Isshiki with a serious expression.

Kenichi instantly relaxed a bit.

That’s right.

If the sky fell, there was a tall person to hold it up.

He wanted to see what the Sage of Six Paths would do.

The Sage of Six Paths did not pay attention to Kenichi.

All his attention was focused on Otsutsuki Isshiki.

He had learned some things from his mother.

For example, proper Otsutsuki Clan members possessed a very unique ability called Karma.

It allowed them to store all their memories and genetic information within it, then be reborn through Karma upon death.

However, the Sage of Six Paths could not use this.

He also did not know whether his mother, Otsutsuki Kaguya, could use it, as Otsutsuki Kaguya had already been sealed.

But he never expected Otsutsuki Isshiki to use this technique.

And it seemed he had been using it for a long time.

This meant that Madara and Hashirama had been fighting for a long time, only to defeat an ordinary vessel possessed by Karma?

Then how strong would Otsutsuki Isshiki be now?

For a moment, the Sage of Six Paths regretted coming out to meddle.

But Otsutsuki Isshiki had to be dealt with.

He glanced at the heavily injured Madara and Hashirama, who had little fighting power left.

Then he looked at Kenichi and saw Kenichi picking his nose, which almost made the Sage of Six Paths choke.

This scoundrel, always slacking off and doing nothing.

However, Kenichi had already done a lot.

The Sage of Six Paths knew what Kenichi was doing.

If he wanted peace in the future, then he really had to act.

Thinking of this, the Sage of Six Paths sighed.

”If that’s the case...”

The Sage of Six Paths stood up.

Otsutsuki Isshiki frowned slightly.

His eyes were only on Otsutsuki Hagoromo.

Although this little thing was useless and not as powerful as this little bastard’s mother, he was still an Otsutsuki, so Otsutsuki Isshiki was very careful.

Looking at Otsutsuki Hagoromo, some thoughts flashed through Otsutsuki Isshiki’s mind.

He was wondering how Otsutsuki Hagoromo would deal with him.

And it seemed there was some conspiracy behind Otsutsuki Hagoromo’s death in the past.
