Chapter 506: Hidan’s Purpose

”Where am I?”

Hidan opened his eyes in confusion.

But the moment he did, a strong wave of dizziness surged through him, making his head feel light and unsteady.

He looked around in a daze, then lowered his gaze to his hands.

He remembered doing something.

He remembered meeting someone.

Then he remembered being taken away by that person.

But what happened after that?

Why did a strong sense of discomfort rise inside him whenever he tried to recall it?

It was as if his entire body and memory were rejecting that period of time.

This made Hidan uneasy.

He even felt as if he had slept for a day or two and his mind was still foggy.

But Hidan felt something was wrong.

He should not have woken up at this moment.

He did not want to wake up.

This was very strange, and it made Hidan feel uneasy.

He did not understand what had happened to him, nor why he felt this way now.

But the most terrifying part was that he had no idea why he had such a feeling.

This intense feeling of the unknown, along with everything before him, seemed to form a blade that tore apart Hidan’s mind and memories.

This made Hidan wonder.

What had he forgotten?

Why was he so uncomfortable now?

Why did merely seeing the light outside and seeing everything before him fill him with such ecstasy?

Why did simply hearing his own voice and being able to move his hands make Hidan feel so grateful?

All of this deeply perplexed Hidan.

He was confused.

He was bewildered.

Like a newborn infant, he was eager to understand everything in this world.

”Hidan, you’re awake?”

A strange voice.

Hidan turned his head blankly, then saw a person standing there and looking at him.

The person wore a clean white lab coat and was quite handsome, but his eyes felt strange to Hidan.

And for some reason, Hidan felt an extremely strong sense of forced submission.

It was as if the man before him had become the anchor of his existence, a command carved into the depths of his body and mind.

This made Hidan shiver all over.

He was not some loyal dog, so why did he have such a strange feeling?

Hidan did not know.

He only felt that he had seen this person before, but he could not remember where.

That peculiar sense of déjà vu made Hidan furrow his brows in thought, wondering who this man was.

Kenichi looked at Hidan.

He naturally saw Hidan’s expression, but he had not expected Hidan to actually wake up under the stimulation of the parasite.

Before this, Kenichi had always thought Hidan might not be able to wake up.

After all, Hidan had been brain-dead for so long.

He was like a certain creature who wanted to become the strongest, abandoning thought.

So even though Kenichi had implanted a parasite in him, he had not had much confidence that Hidan would wake up.

After all, Hidan was too special.

But to his surprise, Hidan was now awake.

It truly made one marvel at Hidan’s vigorous vitality.

However, it seemed Hidan had lost his memory?

He did not immediately rush over or curse him?

This was truly a rare occurrence.

”Hidan, do you still remember who I am?”

Kenichi asked Hidan with a half-smile.

Hearing Kenichi’s words, Hidan’s expression became pained.

He clutched his hair, seemingly trying hard to remember who Kenichi was, and why this peculiar sense of déjà vu existed in his mind.

What was going on?

Hidan could not understand.

He did not even know why he felt this way, but he just did.

And with the intense pain, some unpleasant memories, memories he had intentionally forgotten, gradually surged into Hidan’s mind.

He remembered that he had encountered this guy before.

His name was Amamiya Kenichi.

He had defeated Hidan and then taken him away.

Hidan had thought he would become a prisoner.

But to his surprise, the other party had given him to a madman.

That madman had tortured him relentlessly, making him unable to hear, see, or smell anything.

Over time, Hidan...

”Die! You bastard!”

The rage in Hidan’s heart erupted like fireworks in the night.

He charged madly at Kenichi.

He swore he would make this guy understand what hell was.

The hell he had once seen.

The hell Hidan dared not recall, to the point that he would rather abandon thought than remember it.

That drove Hidan into endless fury.

He only wanted to kill Kenichi now.

He wanted to make Kenichi pay a heavy price.

But the moment he moved, Hidan found that his body had betrayed his will.

His body involuntarily knelt down.

His body actually knelt down.

Then he knelt before Kenichi, lowering his head respectfully.

”You demon! Amamiya Kenichi! What have you done?!”

Hidan roared, trying to resist, but he could not move.

Even his inner self was submitting to this man.

This feeling of his body being out of control gave Hidan an intense sense of suffocation.

He even felt that he would rather have remained in his previous state.

At least then, he would not have to endure this humiliation now.

But Hidan felt tears on his cheeks.

He was crying.

Crying because he could roar.

Because he could speak.

How ironic was that?

Before, Hidan had been able to do anything, and he had never thought that being able to speak or breathe normally would be so exciting.

But now Hidan understood.

He was indeed very excited.

Very exhilarated.

He was happy for his current freedom.

Kenichi looked at Hidan playfully.

It was interesting that Hidan was conscious.

Hidan’s ability was also quite special, and Kenichi had his own plans for him.

Kenichi thought Hidan was suitable for special, dangerous work.

However, he wondered whether Hidan’s immortality would be affected by nuclear radiation.

If not, perhaps Hidan could be used to clear radiation zones and allow them to become habitable again quickly.

However, all of this required some preliminary work.

Conveniently, Madara and Black Zetsu were both absent, giving Kenichi enough time for experiments.

As for whether that guy named Jigen would set up a new experimental base below?

Kenichi was not particularly worried.

Even if he did, what then?

If he did, Kenichi had plenty of ways to deal with him.

Rather, it would be more reassuring for Kenichi to have him under his nose.

”I didn’t do anything, but I didn’t expect you to be so respectful to me. You’re already kneeling. There’s no need for that.”

Kenichi spoke mockingly.

Hidan’s body trembled with anger, but he could not do anything.

Contacting Jashin yielded no response, which made Hidan feel a bit broken inside.

However, immediately after, Hidan recalled those unpleasant memories.

Compared to that period of despair, his current predicament seemed acceptable.

After all, for the current Hidan, that world had been too despairing.

This current world, on the other hand, made Hidan feel quite pleasant.

Thinking of this, Hidan’s heart was not so painful anymore.

”What do you want me to do?”

Hidan asked.

As the killing intent and anger in his heart dissipated, Hidan was able to lift his head.

He looked up at Kenichi.

He knew he was no match for this man.

But since the other party had awakened him from that state, he must have his own intentions.

Otherwise, why bother awakening him?

So Hidan was very sure that Kenichi needed him to do something.

Otherwise, there was no reason for Kenichi to do this.

Kenichi stroked his chin.

He looked at Hidan.

This unlucky guy had actually become smarter, which surprised Kenichi.

The previous Hidan had just been a hothead, always ready to fight.

He had not expected the current Hidan to learn how to use his brain.

This was truly rare.

It could only be said that torment taught growth, and Hidan had grown a lot after being tormented by Orochimaru for so long.

Kenichi was quite pleased.

Though Hidan’s method of torment was unconventional and generally unusable.

After all, people had to keep living.

Few people could live normally after being dismembered like Hidan.

However, Kenichi looked at Hidan and felt that it was not completely impossible.

In Hidan’s current situation, Kenichi could also influence him through parasites.

For example, by having the parasites block the host’s five senses, it would be equivalent to imprisoning the host.

Imprisoning them inside their own body and using their body as a prison.

However, this idea still needed to be tested.

If it succeeded, Kenichi would also have a means of punishment.

Didn’t Hidan go mad?

This method would probably be fatal to any ordinary person.

Even the Otsutsuki Clan might not be able to withstand such a punishment.

”I have a very troublesome enemy. I heard that your ability allows you to curse and kill someone after obtaining their blood? Are there any limitations?”

Kenichi asked Hidan with a smile.

Hidan subconsciously nodded when he heard this.

He indeed had such an ability, and it was no secret to him.

He had just been thinking of getting Kenichi’s blood and killing him.

But now, after hearing Kenichi’s words, Hidan fell into contemplation.

He was pondering this question.

Were there any limitations to his ninjutsu?

The only limitation he knew of was blood.

He needed the opponent’s blood to use this ninjutsu.

Were there any other limitations?

It seemed there were none.

”I need to obtain blood to curse the opponent, and the blood should preferably be fresh. Dried blood won’t work.”

Hidan thought for a moment and only came up with these limitations.

Kenichi nodded when he heard this.

These limitations were not very severe.

But in that case, it would be impossible for Hidan to curse Tsunade by rummaging through trash cans, unless Hidan went to the women’s restroom to pick up Tsunade’s freshly discarded blood.

However, Tsunade was also dead now.

And the only one Kenichi needed Hidan to curse was Jigen.

The next step was to get Jigen’s fresh blood.

Then Hidan could perform the curse.

After that, they would see whether it could deal with Jigen.

Although the probability was low, what if?

After all, even the powerful Madara had almost died against Guy after he opened all Eight Gates.

This proved that ordinary ninjutsu could sometimes play a major role.

Just like Naruto’s Reverse Harem Jutsu had once successfully made Kaguya pause.

Kenichi was very satisfied.

Hidan was still worth investing in.

As long as Hidan could deal with Jigen in the future, Hidan’s status would instantly rise to a tactical level.

After all, if he could deal with the Otsutsuki Clan, Hidan’s ability could be widely developed further.

At that time, Hidan would become Kenichi’s biggest trump card.

However, Hidan did not have many shining moments in the Fourth Great Ninja War, so Kenichi was not particularly optimistic about Hidan’s ability.

Amado’s words were also correct.

Hidan’s ability obviously came from Jashin.

If it was an ordinary ninja whose strength was inferior to Jashin, Hidan would naturally be able to handle them.

But if it was a ninja whose strength exceeded Jashin, then even if Hidan obtained one hundred milliliters of their blood, Hidan probably would not be able to curse them.

Moreover, considering the wars fought by the Otsutsuki Clan in the later stages and their widespread planting of Divine Trees, Kenichi felt that a small fry like Jashin was probably no match for the Otsutsuki Clan.

However, everything had to be tried to know the final outcome.

Kenichi also wanted to try.

After all, there would be no loss in trying, right?

”You’ll be on standby during this time. Later, if we get that guy’s blood, I’ll need you to perform your ninjutsu to curse him. Understood?”

Kenichi said to Hidan.

With Hidan, he could tell Madara to try to get Jigen’s blood in their next fight.

As long as they got it, the next question would be whether the Evil God Hidan worshipped could withstand the Otsutsuki Clan.

”Mhm.”

Hidan nodded honestly.
