Chapter 542: Chapter 542: Teaching Sasuke

Chapter 542: Teaching Sasuke

The next morning, Kenichi got out of bed.

He glanced at Naruto, who was still sleeping, yawned, changed his clothes, and walked out.

Konoha, not yet illuminated by the morning sun, had very few people on the streets.

Kenichi looked in the direction of the Hokage Building, then began his warm up exercises, stretching his muscles.

Even as a ninja, basic warm up exercises were necessary.

After arriving at the school, Kenichi jumped onto the plum blossom stakes and began his daily stance and punching training.

It had to be said that combining basic stances with plum blossom stakes significantly increased the difficulty.

However, Kenichi persevered.

After completing the punching requirements, Kenichi jumped off the plum blossom stakes, panting, and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

He was bound with heavy weights.

Otherwise, Kenichi would not have even broken a sweat.

Immediately after, he turned his head to look at the forest beside the training ground.

”You’ve been watching for so long. What are your thoughts?”

Kenichi licked his dry lips, and Sasuke emerged from the forest.

Looking at the serious Sasuke, Kenichi narrowed his eyes.

He had felt someone following him since he left his room, but he had not paid much attention.

After all, Konoha was relatively safe at the moment.

Before the Chunin Exams, Konoha was very safe.

It was a rare period of peace.

”Teacher, do you train like this every day?”

Sasuke asked through gritted teeth, looking at Kenichi’s panting state and his sweat soaked shirt.

He felt a bit ashamed.

He carried such a deep blood feud, yet he was not as diligent as the person in front of him?

Had he been too relaxed lately?

”Yes. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Kenichi picked up a water bottle nearby, took a sip, and held it in his mouth to moisten his dry throat.

But he did not dare drink too much.

One should not drink a lot of water immediately after exercising.

Sasuke did not quite understand, but he still grasped the meaning of Kenichi’s words.

This made Sasuke’s heart a little conflicted.

He wondered whether he could also become stronger through this method.

”You’re not thinking of training like me, are you?”

Kenichi looked at Sasuke’s obscure eyes and revealed a playful smile.

”How did you know?”

Sasuke was a bit surprised.

He had indeed just been thinking that.

Kenichi pouted.

Sasuke did not yet know how to hide his true thoughts.

His facial expression was a true reflection of his inner feelings, so Kenichi naturally saw what he was thinking.

Kenichi stretched his legs, relaxing the muscles.

”Do you think you’re suited for taijutsu?”

Kenichi looked at Sasuke with interest.

He knew Sasuke’s future path.

Simply by perfectly developing his eyes, Sasuke could gain considerable strength.

However, in the early stages, Sasuke was indeed not very good at taijutsu, and he had suffered losses against Lee.

”I... I just want to become stronger. No matter the method, I’ll do anything!”

Sasuke clenched his fists tightly.

He often could not sleep well at night.

He frequently dreamed of that bloody, terrifying night, and of his once admired brother turning into a demon.

This caused Sasuke to wake up in the middle of the night countless times.

He desperately wanted to become stronger.

But his classmates were too weak.

So weak that he had even applied for early graduation to become a genin, only to be rejected.

Until Sasuke met Kenichi.

An opponent so strong that Sasuke felt despair.

Stronger than any other teacher.

Kenichi looked at Sasuke, whose eyes were filled with anger.

The Uchiha Clan was the most emotional clan.

Once they loved someone, they loved deeply.

But when love turned into hatred, that hatred could become astonishingly powerful.

This was probably the origin of Sasuke’s extraordinary hatred for Itachi.

”Do you know why I said yesterday that you were attacking your enemy’s strength with your weakness?”

Kenichi twisted his neck.

”Because I attacked you with taijutsu?”

Sasuke asked tentatively.

After losing to Kenichi yesterday, he had been pondering why he lost, and he had carefully remembered Kenichi’s words.

”More or less. Because you are a student and I am a teacher, you can’t beat me no matter what. And you have no brains. You only know how to strike wildly.”

Kenichi nodded.

Currently, Sasuke’s most proficient and powerful technique was Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu, and perhaps some other Fire Release ninjutsu as well.

Although the Uchiha Clan had been annihilated, Sasuke, as the clan leader’s son, probably knew quite a few things.

Upon hearing Kenichi’s words, Sasuke’s eyes lit up.

Then he looked at Kenichi eagerly.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

This guy really was...

”Then let’s try?”

Kenichi shrugged.

The current Sasuke could not beat Kenichi even if Kenichi stood still.

Sasuke instantly became interested.

Watching Sasuke distance himself, Kenichi twisted his neck, then relaxed his muscles and bones.

Immediately after, he took off the weighted bags tied to his legs.

And as he lowered his head to untie the weights, three shuriken flew from different angles, directly targeting Kenichi’s vital points.

”Too slow!”

Kenichi looked up at the shuriken, stomped his foot on the ground, and used the enormous recoil to dodge the three shuriken attacks.

But at the same time, a scorching flame rushed toward him.

Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!

Sasuke, having released the Great Fireball Jutsu, did not stop.

He carefully observed the battle situation, not believing that his Great Fireball Jutsu could hit Kenichi.

But then, a rapid black shadow appeared before him.

Sasuke’s pupils constricted.

This speed was too fast.

Was it the Body Flicker Jutsu?

With a bang, wood chips scattered.

Kenichi retracted his foot.

Was it Substitution Jutsu again?

In the silent morning, Kenichi heard muffled, rapid breathing right behind him.

Sasuke was quickly forming hand seals.

But then he saw Kenichi kick backward, sending a large amount of sand flying into his eyes.

The feeling of sand in his eyes caused Sasuke’s movements to halt, and his vision was instantly lost.

Kenichi also came behind Sasuke.

Looking at Sasuke’s back, Kenichi showed a playful smile.

He had noticed Sasuke’s true location earlier, but he simply wanted to tease the boy.

”Taijutsu Secret Technique! Thousand Years of Death!”

Watching Sasuke twitching on the ground, clutching his backside, Kenichi wiped his hands.

He began to wonder if he had been too heavy handed.

However, compared to things like One Inch Punch, he had truly been very gentle and had held back his strength with the Thousand Years of Death.

If he had used full force, Sasuke would not just have a sore backside.

He would probably need to be sent to Konoha Hospital for an emergency gastroenterology visit.

”A bit of improvement.”

Kenichi commented on Sasuke’s performance today.

Sasuke’s strength was actually quite decent, and his taijutsu was not too bad.

Unfortunately, compared to someone like Kenichi, who constantly trained himself, he was significantly inferior.

However, Sasuke’s combat experience was still somewhat lacking.

For example, Sasuke had not thought of the sand throwing trick.

Kenichi’s backward kick had sent sand into Sasuke’s eyes, and for a ninja, even a short moment of being controlled like that was enough to decide the outcome of a battle.

Ultimately, he suffered from a lack of experience.

Sasuke also had not awakened his Sharingan yet.

Otherwise, if he had activated the Mangekyo Sharingan, dealing with him would have been even more troublesome.

Looking at Sasuke, who had not yet recovered from the Thousand Years of Death, Kenichi shook his head and then continued his daily training plan.

Sprinting.

Running to school did not take long, so now he still needed to run a few more laps around the training ground.

By the time he finished his sprinting training for the day, Sasuke had recovered.

He rubbed his backside, looking at Kenichi with a complicated expression.

Sasuke truly had not expected to be attacked in such a way one day.

It was certainly an eye opener for him.

”Your combat experience is still too weak. A true ninja’s combat uses every possible means.”

Kenichi spoke while panting, hands on his knees as he looked at Sasuke.

Sprinting and jogging consumed different amounts of stamina.

Kenichi now felt like his body was about to fall apart, not to mention that he had just fought Sasuke.

It seemed he would have to do his missions in the afternoon from now on.

”I... hiss... understand.”

Sasuke rubbed his backside.

His eyes were red, not from crying, but from pain.

The feeling of sand hitting his eyes was not pleasant.

”If I train like you, Teacher, can I become stronger?”

Sasuke quickly shifted the topic back to getting stronger.

Kenichi glanced at Sasuke.

”Knowing a little bit of everything but mastering nothing is worse than mastering one thing.”

Kenichi did not highly recommend Sasuke practice taijutsu at the moment.

Taijutsu training was not a matter of a day or two.

Learning techniques could be done by watching and imitating a few times.

But being able to imitate and being able to apply it in actual combat were two different things.

Lee performed well in the Chunin Exams, but this was built upon Lee’s persistent training.

Without daily honing of the body, one could not become an excellent taijutsu ninja.

Kenichi had persisted for a long time.

Daily training had enhanced his physique, combined with some martial arts experience from his previous life, resulting in his current effects.

If Sasuke switched to specializing in taijutsu now, Kenichi could not guarantee that he would be able to train effectively within this semester.

Unless Sasuke knew the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

With something as bug level as Shadow Clone, learning different things would not be impossible.

Sasuke was a bit unwilling.

He understood Kenichi’s meaning.

Kenichi was telling him to specialize in one area.

But if he specialized in one area, could he beat that man?

His clan members had all died at that man’s hands, and many of them had been strong.

Looking at Sasuke’s unwilling eyes, Kenichi could not help rolling his eyes.

It seemed he was not listening.

It had to be said that before knowing the truth, Sasuke was indeed a ninja obsessed with revenge.

Even a bit extreme.

However, fortunately, this unlucky guy still had some affection for his friends.

Otherwise, he might have listened to Itachi and killed Naruto to awaken his eyes, right?

Of course, whether that would have worked was another question.

”Do you know Shadow Clone Jutsu?”

Kenichi asked Sasuke.

If Sasuke knew Shadow Clone, then he could try training.

This thing was arguably the most bug level ninjutsu in the Shinobi World.

It could assist the main body in training, and that alone was enough to elevate this ninjutsu to legendary status.

”No. That ninjutsu doesn’t seem very useful.”

Sasuke thought about it.

He had seen the scroll for Shadow Clone Jutsu.

But because he felt it was similar to the Clone Jutsu, he had not thought of learning it.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

Should he say, as expected of the Uchiha Clan?

One of Konoha’s two great clans.

Even a B-rank ninjutsu like Shadow Clone had a scroll.

Kenichi stroked his chin.

It seemed Sasuke had not yet realized the wonders of the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but that made sense.

At first glance, Shadow Clone Jutsu seemed similar to a regular Clone Jutsu.

It was also quite difficult to learn, being a B-rank ninjutsu.

But in reality, Shadow Clone Jutsu was an incredibly useful thing.

However, the current Sasuke had not realized this.

It seemed Fugaku had some deficiencies in his child’s education.

”If you learn Shadow Clone, your growth will also become faster.”

Kenichi wiped the sweat from his forehead, then continued refining and compressing the chakra within his body.

Sasuke nodded upon hearing this.

As long as he could become stronger, he would do anything.

However, Sasuke did not know how to learn Shadow Clone.

He planned to go back and get it.

Since school was still far from starting, Kenichi decided to follow along and see.

So Kenichi followed Sasuke.

It was still early before Naruto would wake up, so Kenichi was not in a hurry.

But looking at Sasuke’s unusual walking posture, Kenichi also thought of an interesting question.

Where did Sasuke live?

The Uchiha Clan’s compound was a bit far from Konoha, but it covered a large area.

However, after the Uchiha Clan Downfall, there probably were not many people in the Uchiha Clan’s former residence, with only Sasuke as the sole heir.

But given the character of Konoha’s higher ups and that old man Danzo, it was likely that a lot of the Uchiha Clan’s assets had been swallowed up, right?

Danzo, that old man, would definitely do something like that.

After all, Root’s development also required funds.

Soon, Kenichi followed Sasuke to an apartment building.

As Sasuke pushed open the door, Kenichi saw where Sasuke currently lived.

Compared to the place he and Naruto lived, Sasuke’s room was quite large.

But Kenichi felt it lacked any warmth of life.

”Your room looks more like a training ground.”

Kenichi could not help exclaiming as he looked at the dazzling array of training equipment.
