Chapter 526: Chapter 526: Trap

Chapter 526: Trap

”Have you heard? When the country was clearing ancient ruins, they found a new relic in the desert. It’s carved with many incomprehensible characters, and there seems to be a statue of the Sage of Six Paths inside. They say the water there can instantly heal all injuries if you just touch it!”

Inside a small restaurant, a man spoke mysteriously.

His companion, who was sitting beside him, showed a hint of disdain.

The man glanced at his companion, a smug look appearing in his eyes.

He knew that he understood far more than this guy.

”I’ve heard about it too. It seems the country is planning to invite some people who used to live there to study it and see what those things really are,” someone at another table said.

”What do you think those things are? It’s really intriguing,” another person at a different table said.

Everyone seemed to be discussing the relic found in the desert.

Otsutsuki Isshiki was eating.

He was in a small restaurant in the new capital of the Land of Flame.

The food here was quite good, but Otsutsuki Isshiki heard some unexpected news.

”The Sage of Six Paths? That traitor Kaguya’s son.”

Otsutsuki Isshiki narrowed his eyes.

Of course, he knew who the Sage of Six Paths was.

That traitor, Otsutsuki Kaguya. Did she think killing him and feeding him to the Divine Tree would solve everything?

How could that be?

He had used every possible method to survive and had been hiding until recently, when Madara found him and they fought.

That guy’s strength was quite troublesome, and Otsutsuki Isshiki had been forced to act, repelling him.

After repelling Madara, Otsutsuki Isshiki had moved his base to this location.

Beneath the new capital of the Land of Flame.

He intended to use the lives of these people as his shield.

However, he had not expected this unified nation to excavate something related to the Sage of Six Paths.

Those incomprehensible characters should be the secret script of the Otsutsuki Clan.

But those things did not particularly excite Otsutsuki Isshiki, as he was not very concerned about the Sage of Six Paths.

However, when he heard about water that could heal all injuries, Otsutsuki Isshiki became a little restless.

His body was not in good shape.

He had been trying to cultivate his ”successor” as quickly as possible.

But if he could obtain this water, then perhaps he could...

Otsutsuki Isshiki hesitated.

He was unsure whether he should go to that place to investigate.

What if this thing was a trap?

After all, Otsutsuki Isshiki knew very well that after his last exposure, someone in the Shinobi World would definitely be searching for him.

It was hard to say whether this was a trap or something similar.

But Otsutsuki Isshiki also found it a bit difficult to explain.

Normally, healing items were only useful to injured people.

People like him.

However, although that idiot Madara had fought him last time, he had not been able to beat him and had even been suppressed by Otsutsuki Isshiki.

Moreover, Otsutsuki Isshiki had not exposed too much.

Otsutsuki Isshiki knew very well that Madara could not have known he was severely injured.

So theoretically, Madara should not have set up such a scheme to deal with him.

Otsutsuki Isshiki felt that this explanation was a bit forced.

But after being ambushed by Kaguya, Otsutsuki Isshiki had become much more cautious.

He hesitated, wondering whether he should go and see.

”I heard that the water is light blue, and you can also see a round object inside. It’s very magical.”

The people beside him were still discussing.

But Otsutsuki Isshiki could no longer sit still.

He knew what this was.

A healing elixir used by the Otsutsuki Clan.

Its effect was indeed excellent, almost divine.

However, he had not seen it since Otsutsuki Kaguya used it back then.

He did not expect it to have been preserved.

That thing was very important.

If he had it, Otsutsuki Isshiki’s speed in finding a successor would also increase.

That would make things much more convenient, would it not?

Moreover, only those within the Otsutsuki Clan would know about this item.

When he first arrived on this backward planet, Otsutsuki Isshiki and Kaguya had brought some with them.

When he was ambushed by Kaguya, all of those items had been fed to the Divine Tree.

Now, in the entire Shinobi World, only Otsutsuki Kaguya could possibly have it.

So without a doubt, it should be something Otsutsuki Kaguya had left behind, perhaps for her two sons to save their lives.

Thinking of Otsutsuki Kaguya, a flicker of malice crossed Otsutsuki Isshiki’s face.

It was all that wretched woman Otsutsuki Kaguya’s fault that he had been fed to the Divine Tree.

If he had eaten the Divine Tree’s fruit, he definitely would not have awakened such a useless Rinnegan like Otsutsuki Kaguya.

He would certainly have become stronger and qualified to advance further within the clan.

Thinking of the enemies the clan faced, Otsutsuki Isshiki felt a sense of urgency.

Although the clan gave those members sent out to plant trees some time, that time was not much.

If they did not return for too long, the clan would come looking for them.

If the clan members saw him in his current state, he did not know how they would mock him.

As for Otsutsuki Kaguya, she would become a new toy for the clan.

Otsutsuki Isshiki had heard that there was some debate within the clan about what would happen if someone with poor aptitude ate the Divine Tree’s fruit.

However, the Divine Tree’s fruit took a long time to grow.

Coupled with the pressure the clan faced, Otsutsuki Isshiki knew that the clan had never tried this.

But Otsutsuki Kaguya had succeeded.

She would be used for research, perhaps even fed to the Divine Tree.

What kind of fruit would it bear then?

Thinking of this, Otsutsuki Isshiki felt a chill in his heart.

He did not want to face such a thing.

Thinking of this, Otsutsuki Isshiki casually inquired, then hurried out.

In the capital, there were also some idle people chatting.

Not everyone mentioned the ruins.

However, many did.

Otsutsuki Isshiki even bought a newspaper that wrote about it and included a photo.

The ruins in the photo, to Otsutsuki Isshiki, were clearly inscribed with Otsutsuki Clan characters at first glance.

But due to wind erosion and time, they were not very clear.

They were even somewhat blurry.

However, Otsutsuki Isshiki was very pleased.

He barely managed to discern that it was a barrier used to protect certain things.

Apparently, it had been used to protect the healing elixir, and possibly other items as well.

After all, when Otsutsuki Kaguya had fed him to the Divine Tree, Otsutsuki Isshiki had not carried many things with him.

Most of the items he had brought from the clan had been left at the base.

But he had never expected that Otsutsuki Kaguya, that useless person, who was usually gentle and humble, would dare rebel against him.

As a result, Otsutsuki Isshiki had been overthrown.

However, Otsutsuki Kaguya, being such a good-for-nothing, was not qualified to use or understand some of the items from back then.

So those things might have been preserved.

With those items, Otsutsuki Isshiki could find his successor faster and also quickly restore his strength.

Dealing with Otsutsuki Kaguya might be a bit troublesome, but he already had a contingency plan.

The only trouble was how to deal with the problem he was currently facing.

Otsutsuki Isshiki rushed toward the excavation site of the ruins.

He would take the necessary elixir with lightning speed and then leave.

This would allow him to find his successor more quickly, and perhaps even make him less dependent on a successor.

After all, in the current world, Otsutsuki Kaguya was sealed, and her two sons were dead.

No one in the entire Shinobi World could stop him.

He just wanted to regain his power as soon as possible.

Otherwise, if people from the clan arrived, he would be in a very awkward situation.

The anxious Otsutsuki Isshiki walked hastily.

Because of the Otsutsuki Clan characters, the incomplete barrier patterns, and the appearance of the healing water, Otsutsuki Isshiki, despite his doubts about its authenticity, could not resist trying his luck.

And with that visit, Otsutsuki Isshiki walked straight into the encirclement.

”Will that person called Jigen really come?”

At the ruins, the Third Raikage was sitting on the sand, bored, playing cards.

As he casually played a three-of-a-kind with two, he looked at the Mizukage and Kazekage sitting opposite him and asked.

After leaving Kenichi, the Third Raikage had initially thought they would directly seek out the god named Jigen and immediately engage in battle.

However, Kenichi gave an order to start the battle here.

He also stipulated that the battle could only begin after they witnessed a grand and dazzling explosion.

So, the Third Raikage and the others ambushed near the ruins.

As for the ruins, they had been contributed by the Kazekage.

The First Kazekage had originally created an underground ruin to guard against the Hokage, Hashirama, attacking the Land of Wind.

But it was later abandoned due to management difficulties.

Now, this ruin had become the starting point of the battle, which somewhat puzzled the Third Raikage.

But he did not say anything.

His son was still in Kenichi’s hands.

If he did not want his son to go to the Pure Land with him, the Third Raikage felt it was better to be obedient.

”Since he arranged it, we’ll just follow along. I just didn’t expect those two, Hashirama and Madara, to suddenly start carving some strange symbols. I wonder what they’re doing.”

The Kazekage threw a bomb, earning two curses and a ”can’t beat that,” then contentedly laid down a large straight, finishing his hand.

The Third Raikage, A, was stunned.

The Mizukage beside him rolled his eyes, then stood up.

Their bet was that whoever lost would go on lookout duty.

That job was incredibly boring.

So boring it felt like they were about to explode.

”What’s with Kenichi’s support? Didn’t he say he’d use it only at the very end?”

Meanwhile, near the ruins, Madara looked at Black Zetsu and asked.

He did not quite understand Kenichi’s intentions.

After all, in Madara’s opinion, this lineup could simply sweep through.

But Kenichi did not want his capital to be destroyed and too many people to die, so he moved the battlefield.

Madara’s assessment of this was that it was womanly benevolence.

But he did not stop it, as Kenichi had indeed helped a lot.

However, Kenichi insisted on starting the battle here, and even required it to begin only after seeing an explosion.

Madara found this incomprehensible.

After all, Madara felt that if it were him, he definitely would not do that.

It would be better to wait until they were exhausted before unleashing that terrifying weapon.

The effect would be better.

However, Kenichi clearly had his own ideas and had even gained the approval of his will.

Otherwise, his will would not have told him about this.

Given Madara’s personality, he would have attacked long ago.

”Hehehe. That Kenichi said that Jigen would definitely be more vigilant at first. When he sees the symbols outside the ruins, he’ll be momentarily stunned, and that will be the time to attack. And it seems the explosion will also be more advantageous for you, which is why I agreed.”

Black Zetsu chuckled.

He was right.

When Kenichi was setting up the trap, Black Zetsu had been puzzled as to why Kenichi knew the Otsutsuki Clan’s script.

But when Kenichi produced an ancient book with strange symbols recorded in it, Black Zetsu was no longer surprised.

Some foolish, low-level creatures in this world liked to record the every move of gods.

It was probably because these people had seen the writings left by his mother and those two traitors, which was why they had recorded them.

Black Zetsu was certain that Kenichi’s idea was highly feasible.

After all, when he saw it, he could not help pondering the missing parts of those characters.

Otsutsuki Isshiki would definitely do the same.

If so, then Kenichi’s weapon would have a greater chance of hitting, making things naturally more convenient.

What Kenichi had not mentioned was that after a nuclear explosion, a large amount of nuclear radiation would remain.

This nuclear radiation would severely affect the functions of nearby living organisms.

However, the problem was that aside from Black Zetsu and Otsutsuki Isshiki, who were living bodies, everyone else was an Edo Tensei body.

Therefore, nuclear radiation had very little impact on Edo Tensei bodies, allowing the Edo Tensei Kage to engage in combat.

Under such circumstances, Jigen could be restrained to a greater extent, ensuring that Otsutsuki Isshiki was dealt with here.

This was also Kenichi’s plan.

Otherwise, if it failed, it would be extremely difficult to encounter Otsutsuki Isshiki again.

This problem had to be solved in one go.
