I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 695: 12.97 Unknown Star - Modern ABO World: Second Case - World Eaterʼs Fragment (2)

What happened before Hei Yuhua and Ye Yuyan appeared outside the warehouse and planned to capture Datura?

In the mad scientist, Daturaʼs Laboratory, before Prosecutor Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua arrives at the abandoned building where he is hiding. Oleander (Bai Yin) and Iris (Wan Yi) just rejoined the Syndicate as spies. They already knew that the appearance of the executives of the Red Poppy Syndicate had all been known by the people from Aster. Theyʼve also heard about the wanted status of everyone involved with the Red Poppy Syndicate.

In the living room space within the warehouse, Oleander and Iris were staying as they watched Datura closely. They cannot let him escape.

Oleander whispered, ”Iris, donʼt you feel that the meteorite in the lab of that madman felt weird? It gives me an eerie feeling. That stone was something that gave the madman countless unknown elements or whatever he uses in his drugs. It seems to be a living thing.”

Iris thought so as well. Even though he hadnʼt gotten his full strength and his vessel had no divinity at all, there is at least something that protects his soul. This was something his Lord left in him. Even Bai Yin had his soul protected by Lord Hei. That protection is able to block almost anything in the universe. This is anything that pertains to attacks that involve the soul. Their vessel still needs to die to return to Vearth.

The effects of protective measures left by Hei Anjing on them had the effects of canceling debuffs including fear and other negative emotions. But like what Oleander had said, that meteorite gave him the chills.

Iris said, ”That thing doesnʼt seem like itʼs ordinary. If it can make us feel anxiety that means it wasnʼt something of this world. But I donʼt remember the hidden villain redeeming such a thing from the System Mall.”

”Iʼve checked. There is no such thing in the system mall. But it really gave me an uncomfortable feeling, should we destroy it?” asked Oleander.

Iris stared at the laboratory with a scrutinizing gaze and sees that Datura is so focused on the meteorite. He didnʼt even know the current situation of the Red Poppy Syndicate. Not even he knew that his reputation and evil deeds had been known to everyone.

”Wait for him to come out of the laboratory then destroy it. Watch over that mate of his, heʼs been staring at us for quite a long time,” said Iris.

Oleander spoke, ”Hasnʼt he lost his mind already?”

”He is but... his bond with Datura is enough for him to understand what is happening. Itʼs just that he lost his way of communication and became an idiot,” said Iris.

Oleander asked, ”You mean he can still understand us even though he is dazed like that?”

”Because his soul is still alive. Protected by his soul bond with Datura. He cannot die even if he wishes to. His love for his fated mate restrains his soul,” said Iris.

Oleander mumbles, ”Human love is sometimes too troublesome.”

”Havenʼt been in love yet?” asked Iris.

Shrugging his shoulders, Bai Yin said, ”Iʼm a God of Misfortune. Everyone who stays by my side would be unlucky. Would someone even stay with me?”

”Isnʼt that little pigeon of yours unaffected by your Misfortune? You just need to find the right person to love,” said Iris.

Meanwhile, inside the laboratory, Datura, this mad scientist, is slowly peeling the meteorite in front of him.

Datura murmurs in anticipation, ”A bit more. Just a bit more. Hehehe~”

{My source is at the center. As long as you peel my skin you would see something not from this world~}

This is the voice enchanting Datura all this time as he uses the meteorite as his mine of unknown components to be studied. Datura had always loved unknown things, especially those that had no explanation. It made him excited knowing. He is a scientific person, he believes everything has scientific meaning. So when he first heard of the voice of the meteorite, Datura had only thought of it as something like a hallucination. If itʼs only hallucinations he can still work on it while ignoring it.

This meteorite was something his Poppy Leader had given to him as a gift for joining the Syndicate. He had this ever since he joined the Syndicate but he only started hearing its voice when Agent Y destroyed his face. At that time he was full of hatred and killing intent for Hei Yuhua. He didnʼt even know that the thing in this meteorite awakened due to those feelings. The World Eater was born from hatred and resentment of all beings in the world. It only wanted to eat anything that came itʼs way. A gluttonous being that wouldnʼt die unless it was full.

This mad scientist did not know what he is doing right now is like freeing a devil out of hell. He didnʼt even expect that he would lose not only his life but also his body to this thing he considered an experimental subject.

He had been prying at it for quite a long time. It was only now that he focused on doing so. At the moment the core of the meteorite was revealed, Daturaʼs excited smile was replaced by extreme fear and disbelief instead. What is inside the meteorite if only an obsidian ball that looks like it was made of galaxies and a blackhole sneering at him?

{Hahaha~ Humans are truly foolish~ your body would be a useful temporary vessel for me.}

AAAHHHH!!!

Datura wanted to run away but his whole being was eaten by the world eater fragment. Once theyʼve heard the scream of Datura, Bai Yin, and Wan Yi run towards the laboratory and witness the scene of him being eaten by that weird ball on the table.

Bai Yin exclaimed, ”What the hell is that!?”

”Run! Thatʼs a world eater fragment! We need to tell the Lords!!” shouted Iris.

But sadly, the world eater had already morphed into Daturaʼs body and used his face as its own. In just a step, it appeared in front of Bai Yin and stared at him with black eyes that seemed made of endless darkness and eternity.

{Heh~ the body is human but the soul is a God. You might be a bit weaker but you should suffice as a snack for now~}

Iris said, ”Escape npw. Inform Lord Hei that the World Eater Fragment exists in this world!!”

The world eater fragment wanted to eat the God of Misfortune but was attacked by Wan Yi. His abilities as a Celestial God General but his soul weapon is still with him a black spear with silver runes appeared in his hands. This weapon was bestowed to him by Hei Anjing hundreds of years before. It can be said that the weapon itself is mixed with Hei Anjingʼs aura as the God of Destruction. As a person who fought side by side with Hei Anjing, Wan Yiʼs weapon had an aura of destruction in it. The aura of destruction is what Hei Anjing used to destroy multiple world eater fragments when he was still working as the strongest Executioner in the God System.

Phew! The world fragment waves his hand the gravity in the world following his will. Iris and Oleander were thrown here and there until they reached the threshold of injuries that their mortal bodies can bear.

{The power of ruination. You are an apostle that serves that annoying God of Destruction! That bastard had destroyed a lot of my fragments and prevented me from awakening! It is because he is in the way that I accepted the alliance with that lowly Ye Gui! If not for me helping him kill his son, that bastard God of Destruction wouldnʼt sacrifice himself to protect the dying soul of the Lord God of Netherworld. Hahaha,~ isnʼt he too weak right now? I can barely feel his soul~ did you really think he could kill me in his state!? Hahaha!}

Iris spoke, ”So it was your fault. Lord Hei wasnʼt supposed to meet Lord God Ye in inferno. You were the one who sent that anonymous report about the hideout of the Ye Gui Race, which caused Lord Heiʼs system to malfunction and spread the existence of Ye Guiʼs Crown Prince. It was you all along!!!”

{Hahaha~ of course! How hard do you think it is to kill someone with the blood of Mo? It is already unfair that their bloodline is pure, they are powerful as well. With mortality it is almost impossible to kill them, thankfully newborn Gods and their unbound other half are easy to manipulate. After all, no matter how intelligent a Mo is, their weakness would always be the other half of their soul. It was so easy to scheme the God of Destruction. His yearning for his other half almost causes his death. It was hilarious~}

”You evil be...-ing!”

Wan Yi was glaring at this being wearing Daturaʼs face. But his mortal body was so injured he couldnʼt keep himself awake and finally lost consciousness like Bai Yin not far from him.

Tsk!

{Because their souls are protected by that God of Destructionʼs aura I cannot eat their souls or my current body will explode. He is still in my way of eating even after losing most of his soul and strength. Either way... this world is enough nourishment for me to move in the universe and look for other worlds to eat~}

Suddenly he noticed the dazed Yi Rouya staring not far from him. He recognized this human as someone that foolish scientist had treated as a precious subject. He was even willing to harm a person that loves him the most.

{A God was willing to sacrifice everything to revive his lover while a human is willing to harm his love for the sake of his desires. As expected of the source of negative emotions, humans are made of both good and bad. They are contradictory beings in existence.}

He observes the dazed Yi Rouya staring at him, no it is more like on the face he is currently using. The face of Datura is the appearance of Yi Rouyaʼs obsession. He allowed the human to touch his face with that expressionless face of his, but for some reason, he can feel the happiness hidden within the depths of those empty eyes.

{Do something for me and then I will let you be with the soul of your lover. Do you understand me?}

Unexpectedly, Yi Rouya nods his head. Like Iris had said before, Yi Rouya lost most of his functions to show his emotions. He looked like he lost his soul but his connection with Datura as his fated mate remains to keep him alive.

The World Eater Fragment whispered to Yi Rouya what he should do and the former teleported him to the place he needs to be. It was just after he teleported Yi Rouya away that he felt numerous human auras coming over and the auras of two Gods much stronger than the faint ones under his feet.

{A mechanical being that gains a soul. Itʼs the first generation system and two at that. Most first-generation systems were only owned by Supreme Gods and Goddesses. This is interesting.}

Prosecutor Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua did not know that what welcomed them in that warehouse was no longer human. It was replaced by an evil existence that was no longer human yet wore the face of Datura. The police officers who came with them had all died and only Hei Yuhua and Prosecutor Ye Yuyan were spared as they were protected by System Yang and System Yue.
