How did Lan Qiyue become a Blood Race member? Did she already have the bloodline of the Blood Race before this?

That shouldn’t be the case. Blood Race members had powerful bloodlines. After they became one with Humans, only Blood Race babies would be born. Therefore, no Humans would have the Blood Race’s bloodline in Blood Refinement Boundary.

Lu Ye was also shocked that Lan Qiyue had ascended from the Spirit Creek Realm to the Cloud River Realm in just a month. What was more, she could kill those Real Lake Realm Masters with little effort.

Several Real Lake Realm Masters were penetrated by her long nails, but they didn’t have the strength and courage to counterattack.

A strange force was exuding from Lan Qiyue’s body. Although it wasn’t powerful, it was much purer than the aura of an average Blood Race member.

When Lu Ye felt the pure power, coupled with what he was seeing, an appellation sprang into his mind. She was a Holy Seed!

In Blood Refinement Boundary, Humans called the Blood Race members the Holy Race, and the Blood Race members called themselves that as well.

However, within the Blood Race, some special beings were called the Holy Seeds.

Holy Seeds were the purest Blood Race members, and they enjoyed endless privilege and admiration. They were born with the power of bloodline suppression on ordinary Blood Race members.

In the eyes of the Humans, ordinary Blood Race members were inviolable. But in the eyes of the Blood Race members, Holy Seeds were supreme beings.

Compared with ordinary Blood Race members, Holy Seeds possessed all sorts of amazing skills. For example, Lan Qiyue could penetrate those Real Lake Realm Masters with her long nails and absorb all their blood in a short time, making them turn into withered corpses.

Lan Qiyue then tossed the withered corpses away. Her long nails retracted as though they had lives of their own. Her nails looked so scarlet that it was as though blood would drip from them at any moment.

Blood Race members loved sucking blood out of Humans, but they wouldn’t absorb blood from members of the same Race. This was a taboo and an instinct to protect themselves. That was because sucking blood from members of the same Race would cause their powers to become impure. On the other hand, there was no such problem when they devoured Blood Crystals. That was why Blood Race members loved eating Blood Crystals.

Nevertheless, Holy Seeds had no taboos. The blood from both Humans and Blood Race members was useful to Holy Seeds. In their eyes, every living creature in Blood Refinement Boundary could be turned into nutrients to support their growth in power. In other words, the inviolable Blood Race members were also the blood meals of Holy Seeds in Blood Refinement Boundary.

They could also enter the Blood River to cultivate their powers at any moment without worrying about losing their lives.

Therefore, Holy Seeds could increase their powers rapidly. That was because they didn’t have to worry about having insufficient cultivation resources.

Lan Qiyue had an Innate Dao Body, so after Lu Ye taught her how to cultivate her power previously, she managed to ascend to the Seventh-Order Spirit Creek Realm from the Third Order in a month. Her speed of increasing her power was rapid, but it was nothing compared with what she had achieved now.

Since she was a Holy Seed, she had been cultivating her power in the Blood River in the past month, which allowed her cultivation to improve tremendously.

Lu Ye couldn’t figure out how Lan Qiyue became a Holy Seed, but he knew it had something to do with the fact that she had entered the Blood River before.

In Blood Refinement Boundary, the birth of Holy Seeds was closely related to the Blood River. Some Blood Race members were born to be Holy Seeds, whereas some were turned into Holy Seeds when they got their bloodlines cleansed in the Blood River. Lu Ye couldn’t figure out the secrets behind it. Even Blood Race members themselves had no idea how it worked.

That was because there were too few Holy Seeds. Even in the expansive Blood Refinement Boundary, most Blood Race members had only heard of Holy Seeds. They wouldn’t have a chance to meet Holy Seeds for their entire lives.

Therefore, when a Holy Seed suddenly barged into the battlefield, the Blood Race members from both Thousand Streams Paradise and the allied forces were rooted to the spot.

With the bloodline suppression that was exclusive to a Holy Seed, all the Blood Race members were terrified. Their blood was boiling. They felt as though they were looking at a deity, so they had the urge to kneel and worship the woman.

Suddenly, a snort was heard coming from Lan Qiyue. These Blood Race members could no longer bear the pressure. Be they on the ground or in the sky, they fell to one knee and saluted the woman in the Blood Race’s way. They were no longer smug as they hung their heads low.

This was the Holy Seed’s bloodline suppression. Lan Qiyue couldn’t be considered powerful as any Real Lake Realm Master was stronger than she was. However, due to the natural bloodline suppression, no Blood Race members would dare to be impudent in front of her.

She dashed towards Lu Ye and stopped in front of him, no longer looking authoritative. Just as she was ready to speak, Lu Ye placed a finger on his lips to motion for the woman to go into the Paradise with him.

Lan Qiyue understood his intention and nodded.

The intense battle ended as soon as Lan Qiyue arrived. Many Blood Race members felt like they were sitting on pins and needles. Before Lan Qiyue said anything, none of them dared to straighten up. They remained kneeling with one knee, and their heads stayed low.

Lu Ye kept the Sword Gourd and entered the Paradise, followed by Lan Qiyue. This wasn’t the right place to talk, after all.

Dao Thirteen looked around. When he saw that there were no more opponents, he was frustrated as hot breath spurted from his nostrils.

He was trapped in the Blood River earlier. Now that he had been set free, he was ready to kill some Blood Race members to vent his anger. Much to his surprise, everyone suddenly stopped fighting. He was frustrated because he had nowhere to vent his fury.

The backyard of the Paradise was where Lu Ye resided. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at Lan Qiyue.

He had to find out about many things, but most importantly, he had to know Lan Qiyue’s stance. Since she was a Holy Seed now, did she still remember she used to be a Human?

Lan Qiyue suddenly extended her hand and placed it above Lu Ye’s head before moving her hand towards her chest. Then, she smiled mischievously. “Senior Brother, you’ve become shorter.”

Lu Ye could finally set his mind at ease. Since she called him Senior Brother, it meant that she was still the Lan Qiyue he knew.

However, since she had become a Holy Seed, her temperament must’ve been affected. In the past, she would never do such a thing in front of him. Now, the woman undoubtedly looked more confident.

“You’re the one who has become taller.” Lu Ye looked helplessly at her.

One thing about the Blood Race was that they were generally taller than Humans. That was the reason Lu Ye had never considered disguising himself as a Blood Race member using Thousand Faces. The features of Blood Race members couldn’t be imitated using Thousand Faces.

Lan Qiyue giggled joyfully. In the past, she had to lift her head to look at Lu Ye, but it was the other way around now, which was why she was pleased.

“I dived into the river to look for you, but you were nowhere to be found. I thought you would surely die.”

“I was swept away by the undercurrents at the bottom. I didn’t even know where I was, so you certainly couldn’t find me. Don’t blame yourself, Senior Brother. I’m in a much better state now.”

“What happened?” Lu Ye asked.

Lan Qiyue seemed to be walking down memory lane. A moment later, she shook her head. “To be honest with you, I don’t even know what had happened. At that time, I felt I was dying, but I suddenly came across a golden light and grasped it. Then, I became muddle-headed. I had turned into this appearance by the time I regained consciousness.”

“Golden light?”

“It’s supposed to be something in the Blood River. After I woke up, I dived into the river to look for it, but I couldn’t find it again.”

This was odd. It seemed that the birth of Holy Seeds had something to do with the strange golden light in the Blood River. It was a wonder what kind of being the golden light was.

“I woke up two days ago. After leaving the Blood River, I went to Bright Moon Cave Mansion, but there was no one there. I had no idea where to search for you, so I wandered around and eventually came to this place.”

The rest of the story was easy to figure out. Lan Qiyue detected the intense battle, so she came over to have a look. Much to her surprise, she came across Lu Ye there. She had found him by accident.

“I’m glad that you’re fine.” The self-blame that had been bugging Lu Ye finally disappeared. “But you’re a Holy Seed now. I’m afraid you can’t become a Human again.”

“I’m fine with it. At the very least, I don’t have to be afraid every day.” Lan Qiyue had accepted her fate. Since her appearance had changed drastically, she no longer felt beautiful according to Human standards. However, she had suffered miserably as a Human, so she didn’t mind living as a different Race. She then scoffed. “Now, they’re the ones who are afraid of me. Senior Brother, how do you want to deal with those people outside?”

She was full of murderous intent when she said that.

“How do you want to deal with them?” Lu Ye asked her a question instead.

Lan Qiyue replied, “I want to kill them all, of course.”

She would never hesitate to kill Blood Race members, who had taken so many Human lives before. They regarded Humans as livestock and did whatever they wanted to them. Naturally, she had no qualms about ending their lives.

Moreover, she could even destroy the blood foetus not long after she gave birth to it. When she was by Lu Ye’s side, she had also handled several blood foetuses. She was decisive and unwavering.

If Lu Ye agreed to her suggestion, she would immediately go out there and slaughter those Blood Race members without hesitation.

She didn’t even need to do it herself. She just had to activate her power as a Holy Seed, and those Blood Race members would be powerless to go against her.

Perhaps Divine Ocean Realm Masters could resist her bloodline suppression, but there was no way Real Lake Realm Masters could do that.

Suddenly, she stopped looking fierce and put on a bright smile. “But I know what’s on your mind. It’s indeed inappropriate to kill them all, so I’ll spare their lives.” Her change in attitude saved the lives of those Blood Race members outside.

She looked seriously at Lu Ye and said sincerely, “Senior Brother, I’ll help you out from now on.”

“Sure.” Lu Ye nodded solemnly.

“Please get some rest, Senior Brother. I’ll deal with those people outside,” Lan Qiyue said and left the place.

The Blood Race members remained kneeling on one knee when she showed up. None of them dared to move a muscle. Their foreheads were beaded with sweat, and they looked terrified. They had no idea what fate awaited them.

Lan Qiyue’s slender figure hovered in mid-air as she looked down at them and announced icily, “I’ll be in charge of this place from now on!”

These Blood Race members felt relieved as soon as they heard that. They shouted, “We’re willing to work for you, Holy Lord!”

Regardless of how powerful or weak the Holy Seeds were, they were all called Holy Lords in Blood Refinement Boundary. This was a privilege and the way Blood Race members showed their highest respect for Holy Seeds.
