The Soul Clone was amazing because it had a root from the Tree of Glyphs. It was this root that made the Soul Clone life-like, and no one could tell it wasn’t the real Lu Ye. It also allowed the main body and the Soul Clone to be closely connected regardless of how far apart they were.

The main body could activate a Spectral Image and build the Twin Lotus Flowers inside it, but the Tree of Glyphs wouldn’t extend a root into the Spectral Image that would help form a Soul Clone.

Lu Ye had a feeling that it had something to do with the Tree of Glyphs’ level of transformation.

The tree had gone through one transformation, so one root could be split from it, but that was the limit. If the tree went through several transformations in the future, Lu Ye could create more Soul Clones as well.

This made him realise how valuable the Soul Clone was.

In the past, he only subconsciously felt that he couldn’t lose the Soul Clone. The vitality, Spiritual Power, and Soul Power he had spent didn’t matter, but if the root inside the Soul Clone was gone, he would suffer immense losses.

Now, it seemed that if the Soul Clone was destroyed, the losses he would suffer were more severe than he had thought. It was likely that he would no longer be able to create another Soul Clone.

Time went by slowly. Two months after Lu Ye was taken to this Hidden Realm, he ascended to the Seventh-Order Real Lake Realm.

During this period, Yu Daiwei came to the Hidden Realm one more time. Still, she saw that the Soul Clone was seated at the door while Dao Thirteen stood beside him in silence. Since then, she never visited Lu Ye again.

She reckoned that Lu Ye had resigned himself to fate. There was no way he could leave the Hidden Realm. In that case, she didn’t have to waste time checking on him again.

Another half a month went by. One day, when Lu Ye was activating the Tree of Glyphs to absorb the spiritual vein’s power, his figure shook as some strange noise was heard coming from underground. Following that, the entire place started shaking violently.

He quickly opened his eyes and scanned the surroundings with his Divine Ego. A moment later, he appeared exultant.

He had been cultivating his power by absorbing the spiritual vein’s power for two and a half months, and his effort finally paid off. The anomaly was a sign of it.

At the door of the Hidden Realm, Dao Thirteen noticed the anomaly as well. Although he was shocked and doubtful, he had no idea what was going on as he was dull-witted.

If Yu Daiwei was there, she would search around. Even though Lu Ye had set up some Wards to conceal the pit, she could still easily discover it.

When the anomaly subsided, Dao Thirteen calmed down as well and remained unmoving like a log.

The Soul Clone, who had been paying close attention to Dao Thirteen, let out a sigh of relief. He had decided that if Dao Thirteen made a move, he would immediately do something to attract his attention.

Since he had achieved some results, he wasn’t far away from success.

It had to be said that the spiritual vein’s power in this Hidden Realm was truly ample. It would take Lu Ye a long time if he wanted to fully absorb its power. Nevertheless, he didn’t have to do that. He just had to make the spiritual vein weak enough to the point where the Hidden Realm could no longer be sustained.

If a Hidden Realm was compared to a house, the spiritual vein was the house’s foundation. Lu Ye didn’t have to destroy the entire foundation. Some damage to the foundation would cause the house to collapse.

In the next few days, the frequency of the anomaly taking place in the Hidden Realm increased. Buzzing sounds could be heard from underground from time to time. Whenever that happened, the entire Hidden Realm would tremble.

Even the muddy sky in the Hidden Realm started showing some unusual phenomena. It was a sign that the Hidden Realm was about to come apart.

Dao Thirteen seemed to be emotionally affected as he had been irritable as of late. He was a Divine Ocean Realm Master, after all. Although he had detected some danger, he had to obey Yu Daiwei’s order and follow Lu Ye closely. Since he was slow-witted, he didn’t know how to deal with this situation.

Whenever the Soul Clone opened his eyes, he could see Dao Thirteen appearing to be anxious. The burly man would also growl like a beast from time to time.

There came a moment when some deafening noise was heard. The Hidden Realm started trembling violently, and the muddy sky fell apart like a broken mirror. Even the view within the Hidden Realm started contorting.

The Hidden Realm was about to collapse. Having gone through a similar experience in the Sword and Tool Sect, Lu Ye was familiar with it.

Once the Hidden Realm fell apart, he and Dao Thirteen would leave this cage at the same time. Then, things would be simple as he just had to retrieve the Soul Clone and get rid of Dao Thirteen.

Meanwhile, the door of the Hidden Realm was faintly seen. Since the Hidden Realm was about to come apart, even the closed door started showing signs of revealing itself. Through the door, one could see the view outside.

A shocked and doubtful Dao Thirteen stared fixedly at the door, wondering what was going on.

When the Soul Clone suddenly opened his eyes, Dao Thirteen immediately shifted his attention to him.

The Soul Clone flashed a smile at him. “Farewell!”

As soon as he finished speaking, he activated his Spiritual Power and infused it into the Ward beneath him.

He had crafted a Teleportation Ward beneath him the day before. He didn’t dare to set it up sooner as he was worried Yu Daiwei would come in anytime and see it.

He faced no obstacle when constructing the Ward. After all, Dao Thirteen was only responsible for keeping an eye on him and ensuring that Lu Ye wouldn’t try to open the door. Naturally, he wouldn’t care whether Lu Ye wanted to build a Ward.

After the Ward was activated, it radiated a bright glow. As the space contorted, the Soul Clone was soon out of sight.

Dao Thirteen was startled for a moment before growling. Breath spurted out of his nostrils as he moved across 30 metres and reached the spot where the Soul Clone had disappeared. He dug into the ground with his hands and soon formed a pit, but Lu Ye was nowhere in sight.

It wasn’t until a moment later that he activated his Divine Ego to look for Lu Ye, but his attempt was futile.

The place where Lu Ye was located was covered up with Wards. The situation was chaotic in the Hidden Realm where World Spiritual Qi was a mess. Even a Divine Ocean Realm Master like Dao Thirteen couldn’t find out where Lu Ye was in a short time.

Around 300 metres beneath the ground, the Soul Clone came to Lu Ye’s side through the Teleportation Ward. Lu Ye pressed his hand against the Soul Clone and activated the Tree of Glyphs to retrieve everything.

As soon as he was done with all that, the Hidden Realm came apart. A seemingly bottomless fissure appeared in the sky.

Lu Ye shot into the sky and reached for the fissure. If he could successfully enter it, he would return to Jiu Zhou. As for how he could get rid of Dao Thirteen, he could only play it by ear. Regardless, it was still better than getting trapped in this Hidden Realm.

Dao Thirteen noticed it as soon as Lu Ye showed up. He growled and shot into the sky to run after Lu Ye.

Presently, Lu Ye had entered the fissure, but the next moment, his expression changed.

That was because he didn’t return to Jiu Zhou upon entering the fissure, unlike what he had expected. Instead, he felt as if he had fallen into a bottomless abyss as he descended involuntarily.

It felt similar to a long-distance teleportation because the entire process wasn’t a pleasant experience.

While he was dizzy, he felt his soul being elevated infinitely.

He felt like he had fallen into a mass of Void. In this special environment, he could see or sense nothing, but strange images kept springing into his mind.

There was a huge continent in the form of a bottle gourd that floated in the Void. It was a wonder where it came from or where it was going.

Like a ship that sailed through the ocean alone, the continent looked desolate.

Lu Ye didn’t recognise what it was at first, but he soon realised something in shock. This continent that was shaped like a bottle gourd was a world.

[Is this what Jiu Zhou truly looks like?] He thought.

Deep within, he was astonished that Jiu Zhou looked like this. He was also puzzled as to why his soul was elevated until he could see the entirety of Jiu Zhou when he had only wanted to flee the Hidden Realm while it was falling apart.

Soon, he was astounded because he suddenly realised it might not be Jiu Zhou. Although he had never seen the ten-point map of Jiu Zhou, he had a ten-point map of Bing Zhou.

After comparing the two, he couldn’t find any familiar features on this huge continent. As such, it was probably not Jiu Zhou. However, if it wasn’t Jiu Zhou, where else could it be?

While Lu Ye was shocked and doubtful, the continent shaped like a bottle gourd was rapidly magnifying before his eyes. His elevated soul suddenly returned to his body.

Only then did Lu Ye discover the situation he was in. He was falling towards the world shaped like a bottle gourd at full speed. He was also surrounded by a lot of aerolites. Since he was hidden among these aerolites, he looked inconspicuous.

He found it inconceivable that there was an unknown force around his figure that protected him. Even though he was falling rapidly, he didn’t feel any discomfort.

He felt his eyelids twitching as some speculation formed in his mind. What he was going through was probably the Heavens’ doing.

The protective force around him was the best evidence. The force wouldn’t appear out of nowhere, and he never activated his Spiritual Power. Other than the mysterious Heavens, who else could easily protect him with a strange force?

Following his previous experience in the Peerless Continent, Lu Ye knew that Jiu Zhou wasn’t the only world. Therefore, the huge continent in the form of a bottle gourd must be a world he didn’t know.

What he didn’t understand was why the Heavens were sending him there.

There were no signs in advance at all. He just wanted to escape from the nameless Hidden Realm. However, after leaving the place, he didn’t return to Jiu Zhou. Instead, he descended in such a way and arrived at this place. He couldn’t make heads or tails of it.

Based on his experiences, he knew the Heavens wouldn’t do something for no reason. The Heavens surely wanted him to do something by sending him there.

He decided not to think too deeply about it before he figured out what was going on.

Presently, he was approaching the continent at an astonishing speed while surrounded by burning aerolites.

When he was only 300 metres above the ground, he was ready to activate his Spiritual Power to start flying. Nevertheless, when he tried to do that, he discovered that all his Spiritual Power was locked inside his body. He couldn’t activate it at all.
