Lu Ye was flabbergasted. Just like an aerolite, he was rapidly descending from the sky. He initially wasn’t afraid because he could fly. However, if he couldn’t activate his Spiritual Power, how was he supposed to do that?

Considering the altitude, even though he was a Real Lake Realm Master, he would be badly injured or even killed if he crashed into the ground.

The force around his figure had disappeared. Lu Ye could sense that the force had entered his body and sealed his Spiritual Power, making it difficult for him to use his power.

The ground was getting closer, and the speed at which he was falling increased. He could hear the wind howling.

Many thoughts turned over in his mind as he was trying to come up with a solution.

He could confirm that it was the Heavens who sent him to such a strange place. In that case, the Heavens probably wanted him to do something. As such, there was no way he would lose his life just like that.

The mysterious force that had engulfed him earlier was like a form of protection or a barrier. It also seemed to serve as a cover-up.

What were the Heavens trying to hide? Also, the fact that the aerolites were falling from the sky alongside him didn’t seem like a coincidence. It was more like a way to create confusion.

At the most critical moment, Lu Ye was suddenly clear-headed. He soon came to a conclusion he couldn’t confirm.

The Heavens decided to send him there but were worried someone would discover it. Therefore, the aerolites were sent alongside Lu Ye to create confusion. Lu Ye’s power had been sealed to prevent his aura from leaking.

If that was indeed the case, he would suffer miserably.

He looked around and discovered that the nearest aerolite was hundreds of metres away from him. If he could get close to the aerolite, he could make use of it to slow down the speed at which he was falling. But given his current state, he wasn’t able to achieve that.

As he was getting closer to the ground, he gritted his teeth and looked intently, hoping to find somewhere with water. If he could achieve that, he would stand a chance to survive.

Unfortunately for him, there was only a dense forest on the ground. There was no place with water.

He had no choice but to brace himself for the impact. Since he had a robust body, he might not lose his life if he was lucky.

While he was in his thoughts, the restrictive force in his body slightly weakened, which allowed his sluggish Spiritual Power to start flowing again. Although the flowing speed of his Spiritual Power was slow, it was a chance for him to survive.

He quickly activated his power in an attempt to fly, but he was unable to do that. His cultivation had been suppressed, so he was only a Third-Order Spirit Creek Realm Master now. He was unable to fly with that cultivation.

When he was only dozens of metres above the ground, he quickly squeezed the little Spiritual Power in his body and built the Wings Glyph on his back.

Soon enough, a pair of red wings spread from his back, but the next instant, the wings fell apart and turned into dots of light.

Since he was only a Third-Order Spirit Creek Realm Master, he naturally couldn’t sustain the Wings Glyph.

Fortunately for him, with the momentary blessing of Wings, the speed at which he was descending decreased. No sooner had Wings dissipated than he crashed into the ground.

He started seeing Stars as his entire body was in excruciating pain.

Deafening booms were heard coming from all directions, causing some heat waves. The aerolites descending from the sky alongside him had crashed into the ground. Upon impact, the ground started trembling, and the birds rose into the sky in shock.

A strong tremor spread in all directions. Lu Ye’s mouth and nose were bleeding while he was lying on the ground. He found it difficult to get up at that moment.

The Heavens had indeed given him a chance, but he suffered terribly since his cultivation was only in the Third-Order Spirit Creek Realm.

He activated his Divine Soul to examine himself and discovered that he wasn’t badly injured. Earlier, he was responsive at the most critical moment. When he realised he was in danger, he quickly built the Wings Glyph on his back. Otherwise, he would’ve gone to Hell.

Also, he was glad that even though his cultivation had been suppressed by the mysterious force, he could still use his Divine Ego, which was good news.

After lying on the ground for a moment, he rose to his feet. He couldn’t stay in this dangerous place any longer.

Regardless of the reason the Heavens decided to send him there or what he was supposed to do, the Heavens’ reaction showed that this wasn’t a safe place. Otherwise, the Heavens wouldn’t have put in so much effort.

Lu Ye recalled that he, Ying Wuji, and the others were directly sent to the Peerless Continent back then. It wasn’t so troublesome.

There was no doubt this world was dangerous. The noise created by the aerolites crashing into the ground would attract the living creatures in this world to come over and have a look.

Since Lu Ye knew nothing about this world, he couldn’t reveal himself for now.

He turned in a random direction and staggered forward.

Not long after that, he suddenly turned to look in a different direction in shock. As he scanned the surroundings with his Divine Ego, he could detect an aura over there. What was more, the aura felt familiar to him.

After giving it some thought, he went over and soon arrived at his destination. He immediately saw a burly figure lying in a pit. The person was none other than Dao Thirteen.

Lu Ye couldn’t believe that this guy was also there. He suddenly recalled that when he shot into the fissure in the nameless Hidden Realm, he faintly heard Dao Thirteen growling. It seemed that Dao Thirteen had run after him and was dragged into this place.

It was a wonder what he had gone through that he lost consciousness there. However, the situation showed that he must’ve crashed into the ground and formed such a pit.

Since he was a Divine Ocean Realm Master, he managed to survive.

Looking at the unconscious man, Lu Ye was exultant.

It was supposed to be an accident that Dao Thirteen had been dragged into this. Since the Heavens were able to send Lu Ye there, it should have a way to exclude Dao Thirteen as well.

Still, Dao Thirteen was sent to this place alongside him. In other words, it was an outcome the Heavens had permitted.

It seemed that Lu Ye wasn’t on his own. The Heavens had sent him a helper.

Under normal circumstances, there was nothing Lu Ye could do against Dao Thirteen. After all, he was weaker than the latter.

Nevertheless, since Dao Thirteen was unconscious, perhaps there was something Lu Ye could do.

Lu Ye stepped forward and landed a kick on Dao Thirteen. It was to confirm that the latter was truly unconscious and also get his revenge.

Dao Thirteen remained unmoving. Upon confirming that he wouldn’t easily regain consciousness, Lu Ye lifted his hand and pointed at Dao Thirteen’s forehead before using Soul Control on him.

There was no doubt Dao Thirteen’s Soul Power Shield was at its weakest at this point. If Lu Ye could successfully use Soul Control on him, he could enslave the man. In this unknown world, Dao Thirteen would be immensely helpful to him.

Sadly, Lu Ye’s expectations soon turned into disappointment.

He felt as if his head had crashed into a steel wall again. Although it was less severe than before, he realised he still couldn’t easily break through Dao Thirteen’s Soul Power Shield while the latter was unconscious.

Not daring to get some rest or put off the matter, he quickly consumed a drop of Soul Cleansing Water to replenish his Soul Power before the second attempt.

It still wasn’t effective. On the other hand, Lu Ye’s actions caused Dao Thirteen to grunt as his expression showed he was in pain.

Lu Ye felt that if he kept doing that, Dao Thirteen would probably regain consciousness.

Once that happened, it would be impossible to use Soul Control on him. If not for this special situation, a Divine Ocean Realm Master wouldn’t have passed out easily.

Lu Ye soon made up his mind and fished out the Sword of Divine Destruction from his Storage Sphere.

When he tried to enslave Dao Thirteen back then, he had thought about using the Sword of Divine Destruction. After some deliberation, he gave up on the idea. That was because once he used the item, Dao Thirteen would be infuriated. By then, Dao Thirteen would beat him up, but Lu Ye wasn’t a match for him.

Now, it was a good chance to use the Sword of Divine Destruction. Lu Ye activated his little Spiritual Power and infused it into the Sword of Divine Destruction.

Under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t take him much effort to use the treasure. But at this moment, his cultivation had been greatly suppressed, so he could only take it slow. Unfortunately for him, time was running out.

After around 30 breaths of time, Lu Ye finally felt he was ready, after which he jabbed the petite sword into Dao Thirteen’s forehead.

The sword the length of a palm didn’t even cut through Dao Thirteen’s skin, but the aura from the sword disappeared into his forehead.

Although Dao Thirteen was unconscious, he instantly appeared to be in pain. Suddenly, he opened his eyes, which had turned bloodshot. He looked like an enraged bull.

Seizing the chance, Lu Ye hurriedly used his Divine Ego against him.

Unlike the previous experiences, Lu Ye didn’t feel any resistance this time. His Divine Ego easily broke through Dao Thirteen’s Soul Power Shield and left behind the Soul Control Glyph in his mind.

Dao Thirteen seemed to be in greater pain as he growled like a beast. It seemed he wanted to resist, but he was powerless to do so.

A moment later, a pale Lu Ye retracted his Divine Ego and panted while observing Dao Thirteen.

The Soul Control Glyph had been successfully built. He could feel there was some connection between Dao Thirteen and him. The connection was similar to the one between Amber and him, but unlike his relationship with Amber, he had absolute control over Dao Thirteen.

Since his Divine Soul had been torn apart by the Sword of Divine Destruction, Dao Thirteen kept shaking his head. His eyes showed that he had become even more slow-witted.

He was mentally challenged in the first place, and he now looked like a fool.

Lu Ye fished out a drop of Soul Cleansing Water and let him consume it.

It was obvious that Dao Thirteen’s pain subsided, and his eyes no longer looked turbid.

“Let’s go,” Lu Ye ordered and turned to run in a different direction.

Dao Thirteen got to his feet and followed him closely. While running, Lu Ye examined Dao Thirteen.

Soon enough, he discovered that the other man’s cultivation had also been suppressed. That was because the fluctuations of Spiritual Power coming from Dao Thirteen showed that he was only in the Third-Order or Fourth-Order Spirit Creek Realm, which was similar to Lu Ye.

This made Lu Ye certain that his speculation was right. The Heavens of Jiu Zhou had used this way to conceal their presence to avoid getting detected by someone in this world.

Although both of them were only in the Spirit Creek Realm, Dao Thirteen had the heritage of the Divine Ocean Realm. Moreover, he was a Body-tempering Cultivator, so his body was more robust than that of Lu Ye.

After running across some distance, Lu Ye decided to leap onto Dao Thirteen’s back so that the latter could carry him forward.

As expected, Dao Thirteen could run very fast.
