After giving it some thought, Lu Ye formed some speculation. However, he needed verification to find out if things were just like his speculation.

When Dao Thirteen saw him looking around, he immediately turned around and covered the meat with his figure, worried that Lu Ye would snatch it away from him.

Lu Ye naturally wouldn’t do that. He went to the corner and picked up the bag of Spirit Rice given to him by the village chief. Then, he opened the bag and stuffed some rice into his mouth.

It was difficult to swallow the rice as it hadn’t been cooked, but Lu Ye was fine with it.

He chewed on the rice and gulped it down. At the same time, he activated Gluttonous Feast to help with digestion while examining himself.

The mysterious force that sealed his cultivation was dissipating at a quicker speed again.

Lu Ye arched his brow, for things were just like his speculation. It wasn’t that eating meat could help dissolve the restrictive force. Instead, he had to eat some local food to achieve that, be it meat or Spirit Rice.

As for why that was the case, he wasn’t certain. He subconsciously felt that the local food contained some special power that could dispel the restrictive force in his body.

After giving it some thought, he felt it wasn’t the case. Be it the meat or the Spirit Rice he had consumed, there was nothing special about them. He would’ve discovered it if they contained some special power.

Moreover, the restrictive force was imposed on him by the Heavens, which had done so to prevent the presence of Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen from being exposed. In that case, why would eating local food help with dissolving the restrictive force?

While eating the Spirit Rice, Lu Ye fell deep in thought.

[Who is the person that the Heavens are wary of? Is there anyone in this world who can make the Heavens keep its guard up?] The Heavens even sent him to this world using aerolites as a cover-up. What was more, most of Lu Ye’s cultivation had been suppressed, making him only slightly stronger than a commoner.

Suddenly, he thought of a possibility. Perhaps the Heavens were wary of this world itself, not any particular person.

Every world had its willpower. Although no one had told Lu Ye anything, he had always felt that the mysterious and omnipresent Heavens were the willpower of Jiu Zhou. That was why it was so mighty.

He had been to Soaring Dragon Boundary. Its willpower turned into Ye Liuli to stay by his side. In the end, the willpower even gave the broken Source to him.

In that case, this unknown world had probably developed its willpower as well.

It was akin to intrusion when an outsider like Lu Ye was sent to this world by the Heavens. The willpower of this world might notice it. As such, the Heavens suppressed his cultivation and used the aerolites as a cover-up to send him to this world.

By eating the local meat and rice, he was branding the information of this world in his body, which helped him assimilate into this world. That way, the willpower of this world would find it hard to notice the presence of an intruder like him.

That was the reason the restrictive force was dissipating at a quicker pace. As Lu Ye thought about it, he felt his speculation was right, and his doubts were cleared.

Take the way they landed in this world as an example. Back then, the Heavens had directly sent him and the others to the Peerless Continent. They appeared in different parts of the Peerless Continent without facing any difficulties.

But this time, the Heavens had used the aerolites as a cover-up. Only by doing so could the Heavens fool the willpower of this world.

If that was indeed the case, the willpower of this world must be weaker than the Heavens of Jiu Zhou. Otherwise, it would’ve discovered an outsider like him, and it wouldn’t have been fooled by the Heavens.

It was likely that the willpower of this world was in an embryonic state. It wasn’t as fully developed as the Heavens of Jiu Zhou.

If Lu Ye compared himself to the Heavens of Jiu Zhou, Dao Thirteen’s intelligence was like the willpower of this world.

Suddenly, a half-eaten piece of meat was presented to Lu Ye. He snapped back to reality and lifted his head, only to see Dao Thirteen reluctantly but determinedly holding out the meat for him. Perhaps he didn’t have the heart to see Lu Ye eating only Spirit Rice.

Lu Ye smiled helplessly and patted his shoulder. “Let’s go. We’ll get some delicious food.”

Since eating local food could quicken the speed of dissolving the restrictive force, things would be easier.

There were a lot of beasts on the mountain. He and Dao Thirteen had killed some but didn’t eat them, which was why they only discovered the secret earlier.

The entire village was in dead silence as every door was tightly closed. Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen didn’t alert anyone when they left.

Not long after they arrived at the mountain, they managed to capture a lot of beasts. They set up a fire and roasted the meat before pigging out on their food.

Lu Ye had always been a big eater. With the help of Gluttonous Feast, he could easily digest everything he ate.

Dao Thirteen was an even bigger eater. He had the body of a Divine Ocean Realm Master, after all. As such, he could eat faster than Lu Ye.

In just two hours, all the beasts they had captured in the middle of the night were fully devoured.

The restrictive force in his body had slightly dissolved as Lu Ye was now a Fourth-Order Spirit Creek Realm Master. It was the same case for Dao Thirteen.

Lu Ye didn’t keep on doing that. Instead, he led Dao Thirteen to return to the village.

During the day, hunters like them didn’t have to work on the Spirit Farm. They just had to go to the mountain every five days and bring back some beasts. This saved Lu Ye a lot of trouble.

Therefore, he would talk to the villagers during the day to find out more information about this world. At night, he would bring Dao Thirteen to the mountain to look for food.

In comparison, it was difficult for him to gather some information. He still had no idea about the name of this world. The villagers had never left the village since birth.

Lu Ye only knew that Humans weren’t the only Race in this world. There was another one which the villagers called the Holy Race.

As for what the Holy Race members were like, Lu Ye had no idea as the villagers were reluctant to tell him anything.

His heart grew heavy because the Holy Race seemed inviolable to the villagers. Whenever he wanted to find out more about the Holy Race, the villagers were wary. This made him feel helpless.

On the fifth night after they arrived in this village, Lu Ye brought Dao Thirteen to the mountain to capture some beasts again. After several days, they were now in the Sixth-Order Spirit Creek Realm. Although it was nothing compared with their original cultivations, it was a good start.

Also, Lu Ye discovered that eating the meat of Spirit Beasts was more effective than eating the meat of ordinary beasts.

Perhaps it was because the meat of Spirit Beasts contained more essence. Therefore, Lu Ye had been looking for powerful Spirit Beasts in the past few days, but his attempt was futile.

Since it was the latter half of the night, Lu Ye was ready to bring Dao Thirteen back to the village. They had to return before the break of dawn. Otherwise, if the villagers discovered what they had been doing, the village chief would scold them for violating the rules.

After leaving the forest, they could see the village in the distance. Suddenly, Lu Ye stopped in his tracks because he could see a blood light dashing out of the village while someone was heard shrieking.

The shriek sounded familiar. The image of a woman immediately sprang into Lu Ye’s mind.

After talking to the villagers of Cangnan Village for several days, Lu Ye had familiarised with them and could recognise their faces.

He had talked to the woman before. She was a Third-Order Spirit Creek Realm Master in her twenties who was part of a hunting team.

Although the woman was heard screaming, the blood light didn’t belong to her. That was because the fluctuations of Spiritual Power coming from the blood light showed that the person was in the Cloud River Realm.

There were no Cloud River Realm Masters in Cangnan Village.

Lu Ye had no idea who was snatching the woman away, but he couldn’t stand idly by and did nothing at this point. Just as he was ready to save the woman, her shriek abruptly stopped.

The anomaly had attracted the attention of the blood light’s owner. The person took a look in that direction and flew over. Soon enough, the person landed in front of Lu Ye. The blood light dissipated and revealed a figure.

The person was clad in a long robe and had a tall figure. He was at least one head taller than Lu Ye. His skin was all red, making him look like a cooked lobster. Besides that, he also had pointed ears, and his sharp nails radiated an icy glow.

The woman that Lu Ye knew was held in his hand like a sack, but she was unmoving. There were two holes in her neck, but no blood was streaming from her wounds.

Her entire figure was pale as though all her blood had been sucked out of her.

Lu Ye looked silently at the strange figure in front of him as he squinted his eyes. He finally realised who the Holy Race members were that the villagers had mentioned. It was the Blood Race!

He had seen many Blood Race members in Soaring Dragon Boundary before and killed a lot of them. Naturally, he was familiar with the Blood Race.

Also, when he used the Mystic Fruit Seed to enter the Rift of Illusions and get some training, he would see many Blood Race members charging towards him from the fog.

The destruction of Soaring Dragon Boundary was directly caused by the Blood Race. The attachment of Blood Boundary and the intrusion of the Blood Race were the reasons that Soaring Dragon Boundary was ruined.

Lu Ye had entered Soaring Dragon Boundary for some training and single-handedly brought an alternative future to the world. Although the future could never be realised, he was still given the Soaring Dragon Boundary’s Source in the end.

[Is this Blood Boundary?]

“Where do these blood meals come from?” The Blood Race members sized up Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen before his eyes brightened. “They’re of good quality!”

With that, he tossed the woman’s corpse away and extended his hand towards Dao Thirteen.

To a Blood Race member, someone with ample vitality like Dao Thirteen was undoubtedly more attractive, which was why he directly stretched out his hand towards Dao Thirteen.

Naturally, he was about to suffer a setback. When he clasped his hand on Dao Thirteen’s shoulder, his sharp nails didn’t penetrate the latter’s body. After all, Dao Thirteen had the body of a Divine Ocean Realm Master, so a Blood Race member in the Cloud River Realm certainly couldn’t harm him.

The Blood Race member was shocked. Dao Thirteen turned to look at Lu Ye, who ordered in a grim voice, “Take him down!”
