Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 124: Chapter 115: The Terrifying Ice Spike Spell

In the guest room.

Everyone watched Lu Li with some tension.

They really wanted to know if Lu Li could perform the spells recorded in Daoism.

Lu Li didn’t mind the gazes of the crowd.

He closed his eyes and attempted according to the sentence on the second page.

He sat poised, eyes tightly shut, regulating his breath.

Then...

Nothing happened.

Lu Li recalled the content written in the book, ”In the long run, the Lower Dantian gets moist and water is born?”

But how could one make the Lower Dantian moist and generate water?

Lu Li pondered deeply and understood, the sitting time wasn’t long enough.

He held his patience and continued sitting.

Sitting is easier to cause urination because there’s less activity, reducing the consumption of fluids, and the excess fluids are expelled as urine.

The Lower Dantian is around the navel, with the ureters on the sides, the kidneys and adrenal glands slightly above, the small intestine directly below, and further down is the bladder.

After sitting for a long time, naturally ”moist and water is born.”

That problem was solved.

Lu Li pondered the meaning of ”Dense as Qi, steaming in the Nine Palaces, spreading through the void, transforming into black clouds, obstructing beneath the two lights.”

Dense means lush.

Nine Palaces refers to the acupoints near Mud Ball Palace.

The two lights refer to a person’s two eyes.

So, the sentence should mean that the internal moisture reaches the top of the head, filling every void in the brain, mainly below the eyes?

It should be like this.

Now only the last sentence remains misunderstood.

Lu Li pondered the meaning of ”Next, move the heart fire, charge directly into the black clouds, Yin and Yang harmonize, transforming into cloud and rain.”

The heart belongs to fire among the five organs, so it’s also called heart fire.

But heart fire doesn’t solely refer to the heart; it can also mean the heart’s function or the body’s internal heat.

Lu Li thought that the heart fire here didn’t mean the heart; it more likely referred to the body’s internal heat.

Although he couldn’t directly control his body’s temperature to rise, energy rays could make things ”scorching,” as previously shown with Liu Kexin and Elder Liu.

Lu Li straightforwardly stimulated the energy rays, causing his internal heat to rise continuously.

The next moment, sweat poured down like rain!

Especially his eyelash glands and nose wings’ sweat glands were pouring like water!

Isn’t this just the body’s way of sweating?

Lu Li was utterly confused, not understanding the connection between the body’s way of sweating and the water control method.

Zhen Hongyi, Zhang Hongzhong, Flame Baby, and Qin Liang had been watching Lu Li all along.

It was fine at first.

Suddenly, Lu Li’s face was covered in sweat, shocking everyone.

Zhang Hongzhong quickly asked with concern, ”Master, are you okay?”

Lu Li opened his eyes and looked over, ”I’m fine. Why suddenly ask that?”

Zhen Hongyi pointed to his face, ”I saw you sweating like rain and thought you were suffering from a spell backlash!”

Zhang Hongzhong was also a bit worried and said, ”Yes, Master, if you can’t succeed, don’t force it. After all, in real life, apart from you, I’ve never seen anyone able to perform spells.”

Lu Li said, ”I just...”

He was about to explain and suddenly paused as he recalled something.

Am I sweating like rain?

Wait!

I understand now!

Lu Li slapped his forehead, finally understanding what this passage meant.

Although this passage in the book directly refers to the body’s sweat excretion process, isn’t it actually about the water cycle in nature?

The ancients didn’t know about the existence of water molecules, so they had practitioners observe the formation process of sweat in the body to understand the water cycle.

This passage is a concept.

After all, to perform water spells, you must understand the water cycle process.

So, water control also makes a lot of sense now.

You just need to find a way to evaporate or decompose water into water molecules, then you can initially perform water spells!

Actually, water vapor would suffice.

Because the density of water vapor is relatively low, it rises under convection movement.

Eventually, if the water vapor condenses into denser liquid water, as long as the water droplets are large enough, they will fall.

It’s not limited to vaporizing water to the sky and turning it into clouds for rain.

You can conduct water vapor or water molecules anywhere.

Lu Li suddenly saw the light.

And then a new problem arose.

Inside the body, he could use Dan Qi to raise the temperature and evaporate water, but how to manipulate external water?

Lu Li laughed.

It’s very simple, just use spiritual power to manipulate it.

Just now, he had already used spiritual power to move the water in the teacup.

Liquid water is water, gaseous water is also water, and water molecules are water too.

As long as he could see them, he could naturally condense the water molecules into liquid water.

As for how to see water molecules, for ordinary people, it’s probably impossible forever.

But for himself, he wouldn’t say it’s easy, but seeing water molecules isn’t difficult.

Lu Li unhesitatingly activated his micro-vision, searching for water molecules in the air.

This was relatively easy to find, especially with liquid water as a reference.

Lu Li gazed at the space’s water molecules, trying to manipulate them with spiritual power, gathering them together.

Those water molecules were gradually compressed, slowly forming wisps of mist.

The crowd had been watching Lu Li all along, and the moment they saw a veil of white mist appear before him.

Zhen Hongyi’s eyes widened instantly!

Zhang Hongzhong couldn’t help but take a slight breath.

Wang Duguan and another elder Daoist rubbed their eyes in disbelief.

Qin Liang and Baby Blaze both showed expressions of shock.

Nobody had expected that Lu Li could perform magic and actually create mist from nothing!

Well, they had no idea that this was actually Lu Li using spiritual power to gather water molecules, causing them to form liquid water, and not really creating something from nothing.

Lu Li was still doing his best to gather more water molecules, condensing them into liquid water.

Gradually, the mist increased, forming a small water orb.

Finally, after a moment, everyone saw about a thousand milliliters of water appear out of thin air, forming a water orb!

Zhen Hongyi’s eyes were wide open, ”This...”

Zhang Hongzhong also appeared incredulous, his tone a bit excited as he said, ”Water magic! Master Lu is performing water magic!”

”Oh my God!”

”So much water appeared out of nowhere?”

Wang Duguan and the other Daoist were very shocked.

Qin Liang and Baby Blaze were both dumbfounded. They had known before that Lu Li could use spells, but they really didn’t expect that his level of mana was so profound to reach this boundary where he seemed to create something from nothing.

Everyone felt very shocked.

However, Lu Li couldn’t help but frown, thinking to himself, ”Using spiritual power indeed allows gathering water molecules to form liquid water, but such a small amount of water doesn’t have any destructive power.”

Aren’t the immortals in myths supposed to be able to shift mountains and overturn seas?

I only gathered a small water orb, what damage can that do?

Suddenly, Lu Li thought of something, ”If I keep compressing the water, can’t I form ice?”

Ice is solid; as long as I condense the water into something like ice spikes, then driven by spiritual power, the power must be extraordinarily great.

Lu Li once again strengthened his spiritual power, continuously compressing the water.

The next moment, the flow of water, under the control of his spiritual power, gradually turned into one finger-thick ice spikes.

There were about a dozen!

Lu Li felt that with just a thought, he could use these ice spikes to kill everyone present!

Yes!

I can indeed use spiritual power to gather water molecules into ice!

This way, my combat potential will be greatly enhanced.

Just imagine, when I was once unarmed, I suddenly gather countless ”ice needles,” and propel them with spiritual power, not only catching others by surprise but instantly killing them.

This is only the gentler method.

If I were to be ruthless, I could completely use spiritual power to manipulate the water in someone’s body to freeze, killing them instantly!

Lu Li finally understood what spells really were.

It’s basically using spiritual power to manipulate various molecules, causing ”physical changes” and ”chemical reactions.”

Given this, since I can use water molecules to form ice, I must also be able to control other molecules to release flames, thunder, and other spells.

It’ll just take more studying of physics and chemistry books to understand how to ”synthesize” various molecular changes and chemical reactions.

Lu Li fell into contemplation.

The spectators were already dumbstruck!

Zhen Hongyi, Zhang Hongzhong, Baby Blaze, and others were already surprised when they first saw Lu Li condense a cluster of water.

Who knew that next, the water would dramatically change, suddenly turning into ice!

Zhang Hongzhong asked in bewilderment, ”Master, did you create these ice spikes through your magic?”

Lu Li nodded, ”Yes.”

Zhang Hongzhong was a bit puzzled, ”Condensing into ice spikes doesn’t seem very powerful. Can a spell only achieve this level?”

Zhen Hongyi, Baby Blaze, Qin Liang, and others felt the same way.

Condensing a water ball and ice spikes seemed miraculous at first glance, but in reality, it didn’t seem very useful.

Lu Li smiled, ”Whether it’s powerful depends on how you use it. Let me show you.”

”Alright.”

”Please, Master, perform your magic.”

Everyone was extremely excited.

Lu Li pointed to the main hall door, ”If I accidentally damage the door later, don’t blame me.”

Zhen Hongyi hurriedly waved his hand, ”We won’t, we won’t.”

Lu Li nodded, said no more, and directly controlled the ice spikes to fiercely stab at the wooden door at high speed.

Before, when his spiritual power wasn’t strong enough, he could control flying needles at speeds of two to three hundred kilometers per hour.

Now that his spiritual power had greatly increased, although the ice spikes were much heavier than the needles, their speed was several times faster than before.

Probably reaching over a thousand kilometers per hour.

Then, everyone witnessed a terrifying scene.

The crowd only saw a dozen cold flashes before their eyes, so fast that the naked eye couldn’t catch their traces.

The next moment, there was a loud ”crack” as something shattered at the doorway.

Everyone looked anxiously and saw many tiny ice crystals scattered on the ground.

That’s not the issue.

The main issue was that the door was shattered to pieces!

Even the adjacent wall had cracked!

”Wha... what?”

”A dozen ice spikes smashed the door to pieces?”

”The wall was affected too, with web-like cracks?”

”What kind of terrifying power is this? If it hit a person, wouldn’t it pierce them through?”

Baby Blaze, Qin Liang, Zhen Hongyi, and Zhang Hongzhong were left speechless, finally understanding how incredible Master Lu’s immortal technique was, being able to use ice spikes to shatter a wooden door several centimeters thick, causing even the wall to crack.

They could clearly see how much energy was released when the ice spikes were violently thrust.

Probably around twelve thousand newtons of kinetic energy.

Converted to kilograms, that’s over twelve hundred!

What does this mean?

It means if Lu Li’s ice spikes had aimed at the wall instead of the door, the wall would have exploded!

This kind of terrifying power is truly awe-inspiring!
