Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 106: Chapter 98: The Amazing Microscopic Eye (7/10)

Lu Li looked up with ill intent.

At this moment, Liu Kexin had already dropped the documents.

She was staring at him with a worried look.

Lu Li didn’t linger on her bed and sat up, saying, ”I feel much better.”

Liu Kexin visibly let out a sigh of relief.

However, she kept her tone deliberately calm, ”That’s good.”

Lu Li stood there, blinking, and asked, ”President Liu, I remember you mentioned last time that your shoulder felt sore, is that right?”

Liu Kexin responded, ”Sitting in front of the computer for long periods, an occupational hazard.”

Lu Li fibbed, ”I know a little about massage techniques, would you like me to help relieve it a bit?”

Well, this was a complete lie.

He certainly knew nothing about massage.

Of course, he didn’t have any ulterior motive either.

The reason he said this was to experiment if energy rays could eradicate bacteria in addition to accelerating self-healing.

Previously, he didn’t have microscopic vision.

He couldn’t see the existence of bacteria.

Naturally, he couldn’t experiment to see if it was feasible.

Now that he had developed microscopic vision and could see bacteria, Lu Li naturally wanted to give it a try.

As for how to distinguish between healthy and pathogenic bacteria, it’s actually quite easy.

Pathogenic bacteria are the bacteria that cause disease after biological infection, and are certainly different from beneficial bacteria.

If it were a virus, it would be even easier to distinguish, as those don’t have a cellular structure and look completely different.

Lu Li observed earlier and found a small amount of pathogenic bacteria and viruses in Liu Kexin’s body.

This is very normal; even the healthiest bodies have some bacteria and viruses.

For example, common streptococcus and staphylococcus bacteria are often present in the body, and under normal conditions, they won’t cause disease, but when the immune system weakens, they’ll proliferate rapidly and trigger disease outbreaks.

Of course, because he couldn’t identify whether all the bacteria were beneficial or not, he definitely wouldn’t act recklessly on Liu Kexin, he would only attempt to eliminate one or two insignificant pathogenic bacteria to verify whether the energy ray is feasible for treating diseases.

Lu Li finished speaking and kept staring at Liu Kexin.

He didn’t know if she would agree.

After all, a massage would involve physical contact.

As the saying goes, ’Men and women should not touch hands when giving or receiving objects’, it would be natural for her to refuse.

Liu Kexin seemed to have thought of this too and appeared very hesitant.

She indeed wanted to refuse.

Because who knows what might happen with physical contact between them.

She’s a young lady who’s never even kissed anyone.

Now having physical contact naturally made her extremely conflicted.

If it were someone else, Liu Kexin would have refused without a second thought, but she was already infatuated when she first met Lu Li and had a favorable impression, hence wanting but fearing to get closer, making her appear so conflicted.

Seeing her remain silent for a long time, Lu Li thought she was unwilling, so he said, ”If you’re not keen, that’s fine, I’ll go back to my room to sleep.”

With that said, he turned to leave.

He was already at the doorway.

Ready to reach out, turn the handle, and open the door.

Suddenly, behind him came Liu Kexin’s voice, striving for calmness, ”My shoulder does hurt a bit, please massage it a bit, thank you.”

Huh?

She actually agreed to let him massage?

Lu Li felt quite surprised and turned around to look back with a smile of reassurance, ”Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to you, don’t fret.”

Liu Kexin looked somewhat nervous, ”I trust your character.”

You trust?

I don’t even trust myself.

Lu Li sarcastically teased himself and walked to the edge of the bed to sit down, ”Lie down.”

”Oh.”

Liu Kexin turned over, lying face down on the bed.

Lu Li placed his hand on her shoulder and started to gently massage, ”Is the pressure okay?”

Liu Kexin said, ”It’s alright.”

Lu Li didn’t release energy rays immediately but used his microscopic vision to examine the situation on her shoulder.

Perhaps just as Liu Kexin said, due to long periods in front of the computer, there was some inflammation in her shoulder.

Inflammation is generally caused by infections, including bacteria, rickettsia, viruses, spirochetes, chlamydia, fungi, etc.

Frozen shoulder is generally an aseptic inflammation.

But Liu Kexin didn’t have frozen shoulder, just ordinary inflammation.

Hence, there were a small number of pathogenic bacteria.

Lu Li observed these bacteria appearing golden in color and arranged in clusters like grapes.

He didn’t know the name of these bacteria for now.

However, he didn’t have them on his shoulder, so they should be pathogenic bacteria.

After observing this, Lu Li roughly understood why Liu Kexin’s shoulder was in pain.

Due to bacterial infection, it caused a certain inflammatory reaction.

He quietly began channeling the energy rays within him to gather in his palm.

Then, Lu Li controlled the energy rays to penetrate through the pajamas, reaching within Liu Kexin’s shoulder.

Liu Kexin suddenly said, ”Why is your palm so warm?”

Lu Li fibbed again, ”Isn’t it just because of the heat from massaging you, what else could it be for?”

Liu Kexin’s head buried in the pillow, ”Hmm, it feels quite nice.”

Lu Li was carefully observing, so he didn’t respond to her.

He controlled the energy rays to ”attack” those golden grape-like clustered bacteria.

The energy rays quickly touched those bacteria but were quickly dissolved.

It’s not just about dissolving.

Lu Li observed that when the energy beam disappeared, the bacteria he attacked seemed to dissolve a little too, leaving a small gap.

”Hmm?” Lu Li was pleasantly surprised by this discovery and thought to himself, ”Energy beams can indeed kill bacteria, but maybe there wasn’t enough energy beam applied just now, so not a single bacterium was killed.”

Let’s try adding some more energy beams.

He began to gather more energy beams into his palm.

Liu Kexin suddenly let out a ”hmm,” as if feeling very comfortable.

She found something to say, ”Your technique is just right. I feel my shoulders are much more comfortable.”

Lu Li knew why.

Her shoulder pain wasn’t just due to inflammation but also because of muscle strain from sitting for too long.

The energy beams could accelerate the body’s self-healing ability.

The muscle strain was thus healed.

Of course, Liu Kexin felt comfortable.

”As long as it’s comfortable.” Lu Li lied, saying: ”I learned this massage technique before but never had the chance to test its effectiveness. It seems pretty good.”

”Hmm, so comfortable.”

Liu Kexin’s voice sounded a bit coquettish.

Once again, Lu Li kept his mouth shut.

He concentrated and observed the situation.

A large amount of energy beams gathered inside Liu Kexin’s two shoulders.

Under Lu Li’s conscious control, these energy beams continuously attacked the bacteria one after another.

A miraculous scene emerged!

Lu Li clearly saw a bacterium rapidly dissolving under the impact of numerous energy beams!

It works!

It really can kill bacteria!

He could fully confirm it this time!

But he also discovered a small issue.

That is, using energy beams to kill bacteria consumes a lot.

Lu Li estimated that to completely dissolve the small amount of bacteria on Liu Kexin’s shoulders, he would have to use at least ten percent of his own energy beams.

Ten percent doesn’t sound like much.

But in reality, it’s not like that.

Because he developed the ability to absorb free energy from the air through his pores and skin and had been absorbing energy all day without interruption.

Although the energy was briefly depleted when saving Old Gao, now it has been half a day since then, and he has accumulated a lot of energy.

Ten percent of the energy might be equivalent to consuming several pounds of jade.

”To consume so much energy just to kill a small amount of bacteria?”

Lu Li slightly furrowed his brows, wondering, ”If faced with a situation involving more bacteria, it might drain all my energy.”

But thinking about it, it makes sense, since releasing energy beams outside the body has its consumption, and entering another person’s body requires some penetration loss, then comes the consumption of killing bacteria.

All these consumptions combined make it so intense.

After roughly understanding the principle, he didn’t think wildly anymore.

Lu Li decided to see it through to the end, helping Liu Kexin completely eradicate the bacteria on her shoulders.

Let’s do it quickly.

Then head back to his own room later.

Utilize his microscopic vision to observe the world.

See if there’s a way to discover a money-making path.

Thinking about this, Lu Li increased the amount of energy beams he was using.

Liu Kexin suddenly exclaimed, ”Oh, your hand is so hot!”

Lu Li held her shoulder to keep her from moving, ”Almost done, don’t move.”

Liu Kexin seemed quite sensitive, continuously squirming her shoulders, ”It’s really hot, I can’t take it anymore.”

Lu Li didn’t dare to really exert force, lest he accidentally injure her shoulders.

He had to reduce the energy, ”Does it still feel hot now?”

Liu Kexin stopped struggling, ”Not hot anymore.”

A moment later, Lu Li noticed all the bacteria were eradicated.

He slowly released his grip, saying, ”Done, you can sit up now.”

”Oh.” Liu Kexin turned over, struggling to sit up.

But she might not have been stable enough, her right side tilted forward straight into Lu Li’s arms.

Lu Li felt a fragrance rushing at him, and suddenly there was someone in his embrace.

He looked down and saw that Liu Kexin’s face was completely flushed.

Liu Kexin appeared extremely shy, reaching out to push Lu Li away, ”Well, uh, it’s nothing, you can go back to your room now.”

Lu Li saw how beautiful she looked and couldn’t help but feel a flutter in his heart, he didn’t let go of his embrace.

After evolving twice, his strength was immense, how could Liu Kexin possibly push him away?

”You... you... what are you doing?”

Liu Kexin thought Lu Li wanted to misbehave, she was a bit scared, her voice trembling.

Lu Li gazed at her face, as exquisite as a work of art, ”President Liu, you’re so beautiful.”

Perhaps seeing no further actions from him, Liu Kexin stopped struggling as much, only slightly raised her head to look up at him, warning, ”Lu Li, don’t do anything stupid, or else... or else...”

Lu Li, looking at her blushing cheeks, said, ”Or else what?”

Liu Kexin used the hardest tone to say the softest words, ”Or else I won’t speak to you anymore.”

Pfft!

I thought you’d say, or else report me to the police!

Hearing this response with no killer instinct, Lu Li couldn’t help but laugh.

He still didn’t let go and tried to test Liu Kexin’s limits by saying, ”President Liu, you’re so beautiful, can I hold you for a little longer? Don’t worry; I promise not to do anything bad, just hold you like this for a while.”
