Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3188 A Small Feast

The moment Sophie obtained the scroll, the others turned silent, dropping their banter.

The Celestial Fairies and the others who were at the back held their breaths, wondering what this scroll contained, for this could determine their fates in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm. They knew the discovery of this scroll was huge as Davis was magnanimous enough to brief them that it could contain the way to increase the chances of pill concoction.

But considering Lest Mistwalker didnʼt explicitly say that there was information about it in it, their hearts pounded with anticipation.

”Fhs~”

After checking for any traps and seeing that Davis also didnʼt say anything, Sophie opened the scroll.

Her eyes instantly narrowed, causing everyone to come closer subconsciously. However, even after focusing their gaze, they failed to see anything worth of concern as the scroll was completely blank.

However, they didnʼt give up hope as it was normal that glorious inheritances usually came with a condition or two to fulfill before one could actually require, and it was more so the case when reading a scroll from that said inheritance would require the user to have an extremely strong soul force or other types of deciphering ability.

Sophie tried to decipher as she tried to spot hidden inscriptions or runes that were sealing or concealing in nature, which could unlock the information upon being discovered and unraveled, but the more she searched, the more she felt like she was going to be pulled into it.

Before she knew it, someone pulled the scroll off her hands, causing her to suddenly go limp.

”The soul force drain is too huge…”

Davis flicked the scroll close in style while Sophie slowly came back to herself, blinking as she realized that she fell face-flat on his chest. Her lips parted in shock, unable to believe that half of her soul force was gone within a few seconds, and she didnʼt even realize it was being drained by the scroll until it was too late.

”Show it to me.”

Myria came forward with her hand stretched out.

Davis thought for a moment before he gave it to her.

Considering that it was only draining soul force, he wondered if she had some resistance against it, but within a second after opening it, she closed it and gave it back to him.

”This is a Timed Drain Scroll made from paper that is of spacetime attribute. Itʼs only at the High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade, but observing it actually takes tens of days of focus in an instant, thereby draining a Mid-Stage Immortal Emperorʼs soul force by a humongous amount. With our current soul force capacity, we wouldnʼt be able to endure and possibly never read it at all.”

”Is that so?”

Davis smiled. He kept the scroll inside his spatial ring, ”Weʼll check this out some other time then.”

Myria narrowed her eyes in response to his strange attitude. Usually, he would try opening it as though he accepted a challenge, no?

She then watched him excite everyone as he told them to prepare to cook and brought out a giant crab, which he started to purify its impurity by cleaning it with his life energy. It was so extravagant that numerous jaws dropped.

Then Tina and Dalila began to heat up Tyriele, the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron, with joy. Sophie had patched up Tyriele a bit so she could still concoct some low-level pills relative to her grade and prowess, so cooking a Mid-Stage Immortal Emperor Feral beast was no problem.

The two of them used their flames to heat Tyriele and absorbed the Pearlcore Sea Crab into her space, causing it to shrink despite its large size. They added a lot of mystical ingredients that quickly began tearing up many eyes and drool dripping from many mouths.

Tina further displayed her firm control over her Four Elements Physique, summoning fire energy, metal energy, wood energy, and wind energy to dance and interact with the cauldron in a symphony, bringing out the truest potential and the aromatic qualities of the spices.

Dalila perfectly controlled the heat, quickly cooking the crab.

A few Feral Beasts were attracted to the aroma, but they were swiftly taken care of before Dalila served the crab meat to them while a few other ladies joined in to serve everyone else. They had a feast, feeling a surge of energy and vitality with each bite they took. The meat quickly melted in their mouth, making them shiver over the exquisite taste that caused an orgasm in their minds.

”Good!”

After eating a few hundred kilograms of the Pearlcore Sea Crab, Nadia let out a burp and transformed back into her tiny form, pouncing towards someone free as she closed her eyes and began napping. The same could be said about everyone as they started feeling sleepy, especially Cyclonis Blizzara and Xerna Zenflame, who also ate a lot after Davis told them not to be reserved. Nevertheless, they were all tired.

After all, they ate Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Stage Feral Beast meat, making them find it difficult and slower to digest it, which took a toll on their bodily functions, exhausting them in the end.

With them all having dispersed into their temporarily established abodes, Davis also returned to his palace with his people.

He was also a bit tired as he kept using soul force all day long. Even though he recovered his soul force by refining soul essences in his soul sea, it still left him exhausted all the same. Therefore, he also didnʼt feel like challenging that unique scroll.

After looting and having a feast, he wanted to have a good nightʼs rest, although his soul body was still torturing the miscreants trapped in the life ring. Their cultivation bases were utterly sealed, so he had nothing to worry about.

Nonetheless, just as he was about to enter his bedroom, a purple-robed woman approached him, causing him to smile at her. Looking at her, he was reminded of the Blazing Thunderlight Kirinʼs Founder, Fairy Thunderblaze, who had gone missing after she refused to lower her pride when challenged and was sent out of the hidden temple.

”Whatʼs up, Vereina? Do you not feel like sleeping?”

This woman was equally a mysterious star whom he felt could match up to Fairy Thunderblaze if she had enough time.

Vereina had a complicated expression on her face as she pouted.

”I want to sleep but have no time as I want to catch up to you, not to mention have heavy obligations. With that kind of ambition in mind, I came to ask you of another favor, and perhaps, Iʼll finally… feel that itʼs worth it for me to become… vulnerable...”

”…”

Davis cast a bright smile at Vereina, causing her cheeks to redden in embarrassment. In fact, she even felt shame. After all, she had already asked for a pill of a dark flower, a Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade heavenly resource of the illusion and sound attribute, which was highly beneficial to her, so not only did she not agree to show him her soul physique in return for this pill but she was also asking for another favor which made her feel that she was incredibly shameless.

”Go on.”

Davis prompted with an amused expression, causing Vereina to clench her teeth and ask in a low voice.

”Can I obtain a Six-Headed Hydra Clanʼs Empyreal Monarchʼs soul…?”
