Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3160 Towards The Hidden Temple

”…”

Davis sat crossed-legged on a rock, appearing to be meditating, but inwardly, there was nothing but turmoil in his mind as he learned that Myria had actually confessed to him back then already.

Of course, Fallen Heaven had already spilled it, and Lereza had also given some clue, but these memories were sealed, and he couldnʼt feel this reality as Myria becoming all feminine and asking him to leave with her and the others by abandoning Fallen Heaven was surreal.

And he couldnʼt actually believe that it managed to overturn his anger that came from losing the Apocalyptic Flame Essence. He was a bit overwhelmed when it came to the Apocalyptic Flame Essence as he recognized that it was entirely his fault that its life and death were unknown, but now realizing what Myria said back then, it made him feel giddy inside.

Thinking back, he already got her heart before he stepped into this realm, so her subsequent actions that made him wonder if she was going to accept his confession or not after exiting this realm were redundant.

Opening his eyes, he turned to look at Myria, who sat on another boulder a few tens of meters away from him. Her eyes were closed as though she was also in meditation, but he saw her eyelids quiver from probably having sensed that his gaze was on her.

He closed his eyes again, not wanting her to be uncomfortable. For the same reason, he remained silent after she went as far as to console him and release the memory seal she placed on him, even going as far as binding it with her true soul essence. After all, he was sure that she had many misgivings about sharing a future with him, not because he had many women or he was irresponsible but because their fate was unknown due to Fallen Heavenʼs presence, as they were both heavily compatible with it.

Although he trusted Fallen Heaven not to betray him and trusted Myria to have his back, the same couldnʼt be said about the two of them trusting him not to fall as he took dangerous actions many times, the tribulation that he made the Apocalyptic Flame Essence undergo evidence of it, and actions like that could eventually cause some strange ripples in fate that might cause him to encounter a ridiculous end.

At that time, he wished Myria would take over Fallen Heaven, but chances were that even that would seem like a betrayal to Myria as she was a woman full of concern for him, although she usually kept it hidden. She might instead blame Fallen Heaven and probably banish it into the void for causing him to die, or she might even go berserk with it, trying to die along with him as she chases her revenge.

He wanted to avoid such a future, so he knew why Myria was also reluctant to fully share her love with him.

ʼAnd sheʼs a maiden whoʼs highly reserved…ʼ

He imagined that he was not even going to get a kiss anytime soon, even though he knew he had pretty much captured her heart at this point.

ʼWell, itʼd be like that for a woman whoʼs a Saintess…ʼ

Davis stood up and took a step forward, placing his foot in mid-air and hovering.

”Letʼs go. Weʼll plunder the Celestial Luminescence Pill if we have to.”

”Of course. This is precisely a place of ruthless competition amongst the younger generation to become the strongest, so why not?”

Sophie giggled, walking towards him before she gestured towards Nadia, who then presented a bunch of assassins, although their bodies were in bad shape, some not even having their lower bodies as only their upper bodies were present.

They looked at Davis with horror as they sensed his heavy aura when he walked in, and even sensing that he was calm and relaxed at this moment didnʼt give them any reprieve. Due to fainting, they were not even able to commit suicide anymore as the dark wolf rid them of all their belongings, even the poisonous ones hidden in their mouths as she slapped the shit out of them, forcing them to spew it out while still being unconscious.

”Letʼs see…”

Davis didnʼt even care for their reasons, going straight for their head as he grabbed them and soulscoured.

To the shock of the assassins, they were fine even after being soulscoured, leaving them dumbfounded as to who this person was as his soul control was too advanced. They tried to resist, but once they saw that his soul force was a tsunami instead of a wave, they knew all forms of resistance were futile, causing them to become willingly vulnerable.

The thought that they could engage with him in a soul battle was quickly thrown into the trash. They didnʼt want to risk it, leaving their fates into his hands as they remained silent.

After soulscouring all five of the assassins, Davis threw them all into the life ring and stayed quiet for a bit before he panned his gaze on his people.

”It looks like the other key to the temple was found a few days ago, probably around the time when we encountered the Thundering Serenity Upper Realmʼs young geniuses of the Stormsong Family.”

”What?”

Sophie blinked, ”Then doesnʼt that mean that some faction wouldʼve already taken the Celestial Luminescence Pill?”

”That would be the case, but I learned that these assassins from the Sky Pursuit Minor Realm also entered this temple, only to be kicked out by the geniuses from the Azure Dragon Upper Realm a day ago, and apparently, theyʼre all stuck on the third level of the temple, unable to break past a Killing Formation, so chances are- even if they obtained the Celestial Luminescence Pill, they still havenʼt made any preparations to absorb it yet.”

”Unlikely. The bodies of Azure Dragons are extremely strong, so if they obtained the Celestial Luminescence Pill, they would rarely need any preparation to absorb the pill.”

”Err…”

Myria interjected, causing Davis to be stumped. However, before he could reply, Myria continued.

”Regardless, it doesnʼt change the fact that weʼre going to plunder the Celestial Luminescence Pill as itʼs a Spirit-Tier Pill. Only a fool would consume a Spirit-Tier Pill as it is better to keep it and receive its essence constantly for greater growth and potential, so we have a greater chance of obtaining it if the Azure Dragon Upper Realm already has it.”

”Well said. Thatʼs my Myria.”

Davis smiled as he flicked his hand at her, praising her, but that caused her to stare at him with narrowed eyes.

However, he didnʼt bother with her anymore and flew away, causing everyone to follow him.

”You fell into this…”

Bing Luli shook her head, causing Myria to keep staring at his back before her lips curled.

”Not as hard as you.”

”As if!”

Bing Luli squealed before she also jumped and dashed into the skies, leaving behind Myria, who also took to the skies.

During this time, Sophie filled him with everything that happened while he was away.

Their group naturally didnʼt stay in a single place and searched for treasures nearby, finding a lot of ingredients in the process. Needless to say, they also encountered Feral Beasts, but they were all taken care of by Niel Bladeheart and Garoe Rynn, who cultivated to Peak-Level Immortal King Stage, their killing prowess becoming a big help in clearing out the Feral Beasts.

As a result, they could also concentrate on their cultivation better, allowing them to stabilize their cultivation that was inflated by consuming high-quality resources. Right now, Sophie, Lea, Tina, Dalila, and Bylai were all firmly in the Level Nine Immortal King Stage.

Others like Cyclonis Blizzara, Xerna Zenflame, Zora Luan, and Vereina had also increased their levels or their prowess or perfected their techniques by comprehending Laws. Particularly, Cyclonis Blizzara seemed to have become a King-Tier Ice Phoenix as she luckily found ingredients that made her drool.

She owed Dalila for this matter as she presented these ingredients to Dalila to make her a pill, and Dalila didnʼt reject her, making her a pill that boosted her chances of entering King-Tier. Myria seemed to have praised Dalila for her aptitude in creating such pills, and Dalila was also overjoyed to receive acknowledgment from the great teacher.

It was all fine except Davis found out from the memories of the assassins that Orion Chestwave, Ryheris Yilanʼs personal disciple who was arrogant and prideful, perhaps even condescending, died to the Empyreal Monarch from the Azure Dragon Upper Realm, making him wonder if he was in a position to get revenge for him despite not being on good terms because they were all from the same sect, the Aurora Cloud Gate.

He also knew the hateful Fire Phoenix Clan was decimated- no, actually captured, cooked, and eaten by the young geniuses of the Golden Crow Lower Realm as these assassins watched all this happen from the shadows. The assassin who threatened him while in front of his master also seemed to have his entire group massacred in an instant, although he seemed to have fled.

Moreover, it seems that these Sky Pursuit Sectʼs assassins even established a temporary information network with the other assassins from many factions, so they all shared information when benefits were involved but also naturally knew that the First Haven World was open and could be invaded as long as they could find its entrance except Davis knew two Monarchs sealed it, even finding now that they were from the Prismatic Dream Upper Realm.

ʼMistwalker Family, huh…ʼ

Davis recollected that this person he saw was most likely Lest Mistwalker, a Kingly Monarch. Otherwise, not many wouldʼve survived from the clutches of the teleportation formation that sealed the fate of many.

But right now, he understood one thing: that the young geniuses from the First Haven World werenʼt welcome, and there was an unspoken agreement between all the factions of the true immortal world to either capture or kill them on sight.
