Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3165 A Celestial Fairyʼs Fall

”I heard that it was Selene Lunaris from the Lunaris Family.”

”…!”

Fairy Mei Novara shivered as she heard who it was from the Astral Pill Upper Realmʼs disciple. Her eyes revealed disbelief as she remembered Selene Lunaris.

Fairy Aila Cherryweave was also visibly shocked, tears swelling in her eyes. After all, she and Fairy Selene Lunaris were from the same Crimson Sangreal Alliance, so she had plenty of opportunities to meet Fairy Selene Lunaris and have a friendly relationship. They were indeed friendly with each other even with all the competition.

In fact, despite their outer competitive frame, they would even exchange letters, relaying to each other their cultivation progress.

To hear that the person whom she couldnʼt consider her friend due to alliance politics, was violated and killed, her emotions hit rock bottom.

Davisʼs expression also turned solemn.

He remembered Fairy Selene Lunaris.

She was a tall and elegant woman with long, pale blonde hair that cascaded down her back in soft curls. Her eyes were a striking shade of silver blue, giving her an otherworldly appearance, and her flowing white silk dress shimmered as though it was bathed in moonlight, and her outfit was accessorized with a silver crescent moon pendant and delicate silver filigree hairpins.

With her buxom figure, she reminded him of Evelynn.

Because of her, he also fought with Haizen Rubyshroud since he loved her. He didnʼt mind the competition even though he was not interested in Fairy Selene Lunaris as he was interested in comparing prowess with the top geniuses at that time.

But now, she was violated and killed?

He couldnʼt believe it, feeling a sense of loss for no particular reason, as though it was a loss for the world.

The Astral Pill Upper Realmʼs disciple then began explaining what had happened.

Apparently, hundreds of immortals from the First Haven World managed to regroup, and their forces consisted of many factions from the Crimson Sangreal Alliance, Unfettered Skies Alliance, Dragon Alliance, Phoenix Alliance, and many other alliances.

However, the Crimson Sangreal Alliance had grown too strong since they had too many powers, namely the Rosewood Family, Lunaris Family, Starmantle Family, Starrye Family, Duststorm Family, Echopeak Family, Rubyshroud Family, Glassmist Family, and Cherryweave Family.

All these powers had gathered together and decided to go their own way in search of treasures.

Their split caused them to encounter a formation trap where the group was split up again.

”I… we encountered that trap as well. It was where we were caught by the Thundering Serenity Upper Realm…”

Aila Cherryweave added. Hearing her words, Fairy Mei Novara added to it as well.

”We were caught before that…”

It was because her beauty could be taken advantage of that she disfigured herself with Gold Laws, intending never to regain her beauty, as she was also well aware of what kind of fate a captured Celestial Fairy could meet. However, it didnʼt seem like Fairy Aila Cherryweave had even had that opportunity, being directly taken into Aric Stormsongʼs life ring.

Perhaps, if Aric Stormsong didnʼt hear about the Emperor of Death and left to gain karmic luck, then Fairy Aila Cherryweave wouldʼve been also…

Realizing this once again, Fairy Aila Cherryweave shook.

”I see. But the other part of the group seemed to have met with calamity as not even one of them was left alive.”

”What!?”

Fairy Cherryweave widened her eyes.

Not one was left alive?

That meant the young geniuses of every other power in the Crimson Sangreal Alliance died, excluding her Cherryweave Family, who had separated.

”It was said that a red-robed man fought valiantly until the end, but he was unable to save Fairy Selene Lunaris, meeting his demise. Perhaps the lady also followed in his footsteps as she screamed out that she couldnʼt live without him anymore and killed herself, even saying that she wasnʼt worthy of his love.”

”…”

Fairy Aila Cherryweave shook, knowing that the red-robed man was none other than Haizen Rubyshroud.

Even after losing to Saint Mo Tian back then, she knew Haizen Rubyshroud still relentlessly pursued Fairy Selene Lunaris. However, she didnʼt know that pursuing paid off as Fairy Selene Lunaris seemed to have declared him her love at the end and committed suicide.

When she imagined this tragic scene of one being held down while the other could only watch, she heavily trembled, her eyes turning bloodshot.

”And how do you know all this?”

Davisʼs voice turned hostile, causing the Astral Pill Upper Realmʼs disciple to raise his hand in defense.

”Thereʼs an information trade established by assassins a few million kilometers away to the northwestern direction. I doubt if these assassins would give immortals information, but it wouldnʼt hurt to try since you have the strength.”

”…”

Davisʼs narrowed eyes relaxed as he understood that this person wasnʼt lying.

The memories he plundered from the assassins also matched the location. Besides, he even genuinely said that he could not protect the Celestial Fairies out of responsibility, so Davis felt inclined to believe him.

However, he definitely didnʼt feel good about hearing this situation. It sounded even worse than him losing the Apocalyptic Flame Essence to the heavenly tribulation.

”Which power is responsible for this?” He stepped forward and asked, causing the Astral Pill Upper Realmʼs disciple to feel cold sweat as he felt an eerie pressure envelop him.

”Itʼs the number one lawless land and the vicious realm in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy, the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm. I suggest you donʼt deal with this faction as theyʼre more difficult to kill than the Azure Dragon Upper Realm due to their unbelievable regenerative ability and six souls residing in each of them, allowing them to survive even if you throw countless attacks at them.”

Davis narrowed his eyes.

He had heard how the Three-Headed Hydra could have three souls, which wasnʼt indicative of three distinct individuals but literally having three souls. Their soul structure was unlike that of a phoenix or a dragon, and he never had the opportunity to conduct research on them, but for the first time in his life, rather than devote himself to such an opportunity, he felt like erasing all their six souls out of existence.

”And where are they right now?”

The Astral Pill Upper Realm discipleʼs forehead was perspiring, as Davis was only a few feet away from him now, but he didnʼt wipe the sweat and quickly turned aside, pointing towards the hidden temple.

”They… they are there! All of the powerful factions are congregated inside, leaving only a few who had reached a certain time limit inside the hidden temple outside!”

He shuddered as he spoke roughly, as though he couldnʼt wait to send away a calamity that was brewing with rage.
