Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3181 Subduing Heavenly Geniuses

Despite everyone appearing dumbfounded, Davis remained solemn, even disappointed.

After all, although he was clad in chaotic energy at the moment, the amount was so low that his prowess was only ten levels above, not even reaching the usual mid-ten levels above.

He adjusted to Rath Heavenshadeʼs full prowess and tested his martial skills against him, but as a result, he lost. He was forced to use his usual prowess when he was fully circulating chaotic immortal martial energy, giving him an edge over that battle, which allowed him to send Rath Heavenshade flying.

However, it made Davis feel like he had cheated in this exchange.

”Well, Iʼll admit you have me beaten in martial skills, but martial prowess… not so much….”

Davis reluctantly spoke, but a shocked yet suppressed voice resounded.

”You… who are you…?”

Rath Heavenshadeʼs gaze shook as he knew he didnʼt hold back at all, yet this so-called Emperor of Death in front of him was treating him like a sparring partner whom he didnʼt need to be wary of.

The other party just exploded with a burst of strength, allowing him to know that what he threw at him wasnʼt his full strength as he still looked like he wasnʼt putting in any effort while he was already bursting forth with his azure dragonʼs might, allowing him to reach a prowess thatʼs ten levels higher somehow.

It put him at the top of the young geniuses in theory, but to be able to handle him like this, the other party should be able to surpass his own prowess, but that would mean he would be the strongest heavenly genius in this realm, arguably the entire Celestial Transcendent Galaxy.

Davis couldnʼt help but smirk as he heard that lovely question, as though people were finding him to be not someone they expected him to be. The strength to break their reality boosted his ego more than ever, making him move his lips.

”Letʼs see… you younglings should call me Divine Emperor of Death.”

”Divine… Emperor of Death…?”

Rath Heavenshade uttered with confusion before his eyes widened as he saw iridescent black-white energy swirl around Davis as he spread his hands. He already knew the other party was in possession of life energy and death energy, as Fairy Xiu Juili and a few others told them.

He was an infamous Anarchic Divergent there, and even here, possessing these powers made him a level above everyone, but in the end, he was still an Anarchic Divergent. However, what was this energy that seemed to be a combination- or fusion of both energies, causing him and everyone else to be shaken to the core as it felt intrinsically dangerous to their souls?

”I think I had enough fun exchanging fists with the Azure Dragon Upper Realmʼs Empyreal Monarch. Iʼm satisfied, so letʼs end this!”

”Ridiculous.”

Rath Heavenshade waved his hand, ”If you can use life and death energy to battle, I would like to experience it, but donʼt you ever think that you could defeat me whenever you please.”

”Is that so?”

Davis kept his smile, ”Then donʼt blame me for being too overpowered.”

”Wha-”

*Bzzz!~*

Oppressive soul force filled with reincarnation energy surged out from Davis, filling the space as he tried to suppress them all.

He didnʼt hold back at all, unleashing the full force of his Soul Forging Cultivation. His soul force spread in all directions but mainly aimed at Rath Heavenshade, encasing him as it fell on him like a seamless waterfall.

”…!”

Rath Heavenshade felt like the entire realm was weighing on him, disallowing him to move. It was not only him, but everyone felt unable to move because of the sudden oppressive soul force acting on them. It was deathly but not evil. It was seamless, as though it could disappear with a slight breeze, but was vigorous, never to fade out. These opposing forces didnʼt even allow them to understand what had happened as it seeped into their souls with an incredible slipping force.

Lest Mistwalker fell from the air, appearing unable to keep his balance, but if one could see his expression, they would be able to determine he was out cold. The other Kingly Monarchs also started to collapse like flies that were shocked to death.

They could hardly maintain their consciousness, and even sacrificing their blood essence didnʼt seem to help as this mountainous oppressive force completely subdued them.

”Break!”

Screamed a female Empyreal Monarch of the Astral Pill Upper realm who had chased him all the way here. However, even she wobbled in the air, appearing to find it difficult to stay awake.

But in the end, they were Empyreal Monarchs. By sacrificing their blood essence or even soul essence, they managed to break free from Davisʼs soul suppression.

”…!”

However, by the time they came back to themselves, they saw that Rath Heavenshade had fallen to the ground, appearing to spit out blood as he held his stomach.

”Brother!”

Ralaza Heavenshade shot towards her Rath Heavenshade and appeared beside him, worrying if his dantian was shattered but sensed that it was still fine and that the fist Davis used on him after suppressing him only affected the entirety of his body, breaking a few ribs above the stomach and injuring a few internal organs.

She was angered.

However, she didnʼt blame Davis as she knew he showed mercy, especially when considering he held one head in one hand and a limb over the other after defeating her brother.

”Ambushing isnʼt good…”

Davis gazed at the Hexadra Clanʼs Empyreal Monarch, whose expression twitched in pain because he was without a hand over his right shoulder. As for the other Hexadra Clanʼs Empyreal Monarch, who was headless, Davis possessed his head right now. The mind of the head he held seemed to have gone into shock as he almost suppressed it to death, but before that, these two Empyreal Monarchs seemed to be able to handle his soul suppression somehow, even wanting to take advantage of their battle.

Looking around, he felt the same could be said about the other Empyreal Monarchs, as they seemed to have countermeasures for overwhelming soul suppression when used against them, but needless to say, he could see the fear in their eyes. They were all deeply hesitant to attack him now.

Ralaza Heavenshade also shot him a complicated look. Why didnʼt he suppress her along with the others? Only she saw how he made a move to escape but was ambushed by the Hexadra Clanʼs Empyreal Monarchs, but he easily sliced on one head using an iridescent soul scythe and cut apart a limb from the other man.

”Wait…!”

Rath Heavenshade raised his head and stretched out his hand at Davis, but his silhouette seemed to disappear into the wind.

*Whoosh!~*

Davis sealed the head of the Hexadra Clanʼs Empyreal Monarch, threw it inside a life ring, and shot towards the distance after concealing himself, wanting to leave this space as he received word from Nadia that Myria and the others had managed to exit the sealing formation.

However, he suddenly felt the scenery change around him, causing him to narrow his eyes.

The mountain range with a warm breeze quickly turned into an icy region where his foot was stuck on the snow, unable to stride forward as he walked against a giant stormy breeze. Quickly, he knew this was the work of the Mistwalker Familyʼs Empyreal Monarch.

ʼThese bastards are not willing to let me go… are they?ʼ

Davis wondered how many Empyreal Monarchs he needed to kill or capture today. Considering that there were tens of them, heʼd be exhausted to death as using energy to increase his prowess to eleven levels was extremely exhausting, and he didnʼt want to easily show his new physique off either as no one knew its true prowess that could easily one-shot them.

However, how could he kill them as he pleased? If he did, he knew he was dead, as he would cause the fate of the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy to undergo a significant change.

Nonetheless, Davis didnʼt falter and kept moving under the sinking weight of the snow.
