Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 341: Chapter 187: The Grand Heartthrob Scene (Third Update)

Edward Foster stood dumbstruck at the doorway.

He had never seen Lawrence Winters looking so captivating and alluring.

He thought the Lawrence he had seen before, witty and playful in speech, was already very authentic and charming, but he never expected she had such an unseen side.

She lay there looking at her phone, and from his angle, he couldn’t see her ink-black pupils, only her long, thick eyelashes, like two rows of tiny fans.

A flutter of those lashes was like the flap of a butterfly’s wings, stirring up a storm in his heart.

She wore smoke-purple casual pants, her long legs raised, and the loose pants hung down around her ankles, her small feet slightly fleshy, as fine and white as carved jade.

When she noticed someone entering, she instinctively looked up, her bright eyes shimmering with emotions, her gaze shooting over like an arrow.

Edward felt as if he’d been shot in the chest, a fiery, aching pain, the kind that hurt with an unbearable sourness.

He had been dating since he was sixteen, and it was only now he understood why some men suddenly settle down, go home to marry and have kids.

It was exactly what he was feeling now.

Seeing her like this, his mind filled with countless images in an instant, even naming the children they would have, and deciding whether they’d attend private or public school, and if they’d study abroad for university.

He was a bit bewildered, and somewhat incredulous.

Is it her?

Is it really her?

But why on earth didn’t this feeling come sooner or later, but precisely when she had a boyfriend?!

Edward glared at Kenneth Osborne, wishing he could drag him off the bed and get rid of him!

How dare he sit brazenly on a girl’s bed without being married?!—Have some decency!

Lucas Harlow stood next to Edward, raising an eyebrow.

Kenneth proclaimed himself to be Lawrence’s boyfriend, and apparently, it’s true.

His gaze deepened, his mind occupied with thoughts, but he remained silent.

Nick Zeller initially was amused wanting to watch the drama unfold, but seeing Edward dumbfounded, Lucas calm and relaxed, Lawrence flustered, and Kenneth confident of victory, found it boring.

He hummed lightly and said, ”Lawrence, your friends say they have something to tell you.”

Then, lazily gestured to Kenneth, ”Kenneth, step outside, let them talk comfortably.”

What kind of nonsense excuse is this for creating chaos?

Kenneth didn’t even lift an eyelid, calmly said, ”Lawrence is timid, she needs me with her to talk to outsiders.”

The Lawrence who had been accompanying Nick in midnight feng shui since she was six suddenly became timid.

She wanted to retort, struggling to lift her head, and just as she was about to speak, met Kenneth’s gaze and sensed the imperceptible authority in his eyes intertwined with gentle pleading.

She softened again, going along with him, cheerfully sitting cross-legged and said, ”Uncle, you should go, Brother Kenneth stays here with me, I’m still not feeling well, if my head starts aching again, Brother Kenneth knows how to comfort me.”

Nick’s ”instigation” failed, so he had to hum once more.

Lawrence called out, ”Uncle, is your nose bothering you?”

”How could it?” Nick glared at her, ”Don’t curse me to get sick.”

”What do you mean?” Lawrence said innocently, ”You’re always snorting with your nose, so I thought you were sick.”

Nick was so vexed by her that he couldn’t speak, glared at her, and turned to leave.

Edward snapped back to reality, with a smile, walked into Lawrence’s bedroom, and said, ”No need to get up, best if you lie down? A concussion is no joke.”

Lawrence smiled and said, ”I’m fine, after you guys finish talking, I’ll go to sleep.”

And then she yawned.

Edward hurriedly said, ”Are you tired? Maybe you should rest first, I’ll come visit you tomorrow.”

Oh please, don’t come again, let me have a proper rest...

Lawrence sighed inwardly, but outwardly remained courteous saying, ”Really, no need, Mr. Foster, every time you come by, I have to get up to entertain you, this concussion won’t heal if this keeps up... Are you doing this on purpose?”

”Of course not!” Edward waved his hands, somewhat anxiously said, ”Then I won’t come tomorrow, just send me a text every day so I know you’re safe.”

Lawrence: ”...”

Edward, afraid she’d refuse, added, ”You don’t have to say much, just one word is fine, or an emoji, even a period would do.”

Lawrence was speechless for a moment, then said, ”Mr. Foster, I’m on vacation, not working from home, please give me a break.”
