Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 335: Chapter 184: Our Lawrence Is Blessed

AI Vision Promise is the artificial intelligence company founded by Kenneth Osborne, still in its infancy, and compared to Victory Wise Corporation, supported by the Spencer Group, it’s like a small ant trying to move a giant tree.

However, despite its small size, AI Vision Promise received its first round of angel investment from the SSA Private Equity Fund.

So even as a small ant, it’s an ant standing on a towering tree.

Victory Wise can look down on AI Vision Promise, but it has to take SSA Private Equity Fund seriously.

Blake Leaf officially announced this news on AI Vision Promise’s official blog on Weibo, mentioning not only Wayford Intelligence’s official blog but also Victory Wise and the Spencer Group’s official blogs.

This news, apart from catching the eye of a few bigwigs following SSA Private Equity Fund, drew little to no attention from others.

The bigwigs observing Wayford Intelligence saw its valuation was less than a billion and considered it insignificant, so they didn’t pay much attention.

Joyce Shaw’s death, although it caused a stir on Weibo for Victory Wise, was far from being a severe blow to Victory Wise Corporation and the Spencer Group.

The majority of outraged people were ordinary people, and in this capital-dominated society, the indignation of ordinary people can be ignored.

Kenneth Osborne was scrolling through Weibo, feeling a blend of rage and hopelessness, but absolutely unwilling to give up.

Lawrence Winters slowly walked over, supporting himself against the wall, and seeing Kenneth’s gloomy expression, tilted his head curiously and asked, ”Kenneth, what’s wrong? Who upset you?”

Kenneth lowered his eyes, seeing that Lawrence had returned. He raised his hand to embrace her shoulder, saying, ”Aunt Gabrielle and Uncle Nick are back. They’ve already gone to pay your fees. I’ve just packed your things, and we can leave.”

Lawrence nodded, comfortably leaning into Kenneth’s arm, looking around casually, just in time to see the Daoist coming out from her hospital room. She quickly said, ”Master Grandpa, I want to have your soup when we get back.”

The Daoist, lost in thought, absent-mindedly nodded, striding forward alone towards the elevator.

Lawrence and Kenneth waited for a while, then saw Francis Johnson approaching, accompanied by a middle-aged female doctor in a white lab coat.

Kenneth nodded at him and said, ”I’ve already made the announcement.”

Francis, in his trench coat with hands in pockets, appeared quite suave and handsome.

He slightly nodded, ”Alright, the rest is up to you.”

Then he waved at the middle-aged female doctor to come over and said, ”This is Dr. Tan. She’s an expert in obstetrics. If you need any assistance in the future...”

Kenneth blushed a bit, but very politely said, ”Hello, Dr. Tan. Here’s my business card.”

Dr. Tan took it, then pulled out her own card and handed it over with a smile, saying, ”This is a card I don’t usually give out, but you’re a friend of Blake, so I’m making an exception.”

”Thank you, Dr. Tan, it’s my honor.” Kenneth hurriedly accepted the card, carefully placing it in his wallet.

Lawrence stood by Kenneth’s side with a smile, without saying a word.

Francis nodded at her as well, saying, ”Crazy Girl and Grandma Shu have arranged different accommodations. Dr. Tan will move in to take care of Crazy Girl’s pregnancy.”

”Thank you for the trouble, Francis.” Lawrence bowed to him and watched him lead Dr. Tan into Crazy Girl’s hospital room.

Kenneth took her hand, and they walked towards the elevator.

The Daoist had already been waiting by the elevator for a while.

Seeing the two of them arrive, they all entered the elevator together and went downstairs.

They didn’t wait long downstairs before Gabrielle Winters and Nick Zeller arrived.

They handled the discharge procedures for Lawrence and took her home.

Returning to the large, flat apartment they had moved into just a few days ago felt like a lifetime ago.

Lawrence glanced at the living room, almost imagining that day during the housewarming party, where she was chatting with Crazy Girl in the sofa corner.

Joyce Shaw and Kenneth were talking on the balcony, and everything was peaceful and serene.

Unexpectedly, a day later, everything had changed dramatically.

Lawrence rubbed her temples and muttered, ”Headache.”

”Are you dizzy again? Lie down quickly...” Gabrielle hurriedly put down her bag and approached to help her inside.

Kenneth said, ”I’ll do it.”

He picked Lawrence up horizontally and walked towards her bedroom.

Gabrielle watched, content and cheerful, praising, ”Kenneth is really strong. Our Lawrence is lucky.”

Nick pursed his lips, enviously saying, ”If I’d known earlier, our Lawrence shouldn’t have lost weight... she was chubby, let’s see how he’s going to carry her like a princess!”

”Shut up!” Gabrielle gave him a sideways glance, ”Why do you always target Kenneth? He’s good to Lawrence, doesn’t that make you happy?”
