Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 315: Chapter 175: Let’s Be Together

But why not?

He loves her, and she doesn’t feel nothing for him either.

So before everything becomes too late, they should be together.

The two quietly snuggled for a moment, while on the other side, Madwoman was crying so hard she nearly fainted.

Lawrence Winters snapped out of it, pushed Kenneth Osborne away, walked to Madwoman, pulled her up from the ground, and silently hugged her, letting her cry on his shoulder.

Kenneth Osborne walked over and calmly asked Leo Carter, ”Are you my friend’s attending physician?”

Leo Carter nodded and lightly said, ”Are you the patient’s relative?”

Kenneth Osborne glanced at Francis Johnson with some difficulty, then said, ”The patient’s parents are deceased, not married, no children, only a grandmother who was once the guardian. Now there is a fiancée.”

He looked at Madwoman, who was crying uncontrollably on Lawrence’s shoulder.

Leo Carter was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected this young man to have such a background; his heart softened as he said, ”If there are no other relatives, the fiancée will do, but ultimately, his grandmother has to sign.”

According to the current national laws, a fiancée is not recognized legally.

Francis Johnson walked over to Leo Carter and said, ”This case is a bit special. I’ll sign. I’ll be responsible for notifying his relatives.”

Leo Carter raised an arm, ”Then come with me.”

Francis Johnson patted Kenneth Osborne on the shoulder with a cold face, ”You help handle Joyce Shaw’s funeral arrangements. I’ll send someone to take care of Joyce Shaw’s grandmother, but don’t tell her yet, I’m worried she can’t handle it.”

Kenneth Osborne knew Francis Johnson had the ability to do this, so he just nodded, ”Thank you.”

”You’re welcome, it’s what I should do,” Francis Johnson said in a deep voice and went with Leo Carter to handle the procedures.

Kenneth Osborne then stepped in on behalf of Madwoman to begin arranging Joyce Shaw’s funeral.

At the same time, he also needed to inform the Spencer Group and Victory Wise Corporation.

He hadn’t figured out what exactly happened yet, but from the message Joyce sent him, both Victory Wise Corporation and Thomas had an inextricable link.

He wouldn’t let his friend die in vain.

Kenneth Osborne walked over to Lawrence Winters and Madwoman, softly saying, ”Nora, take Madwoman to stay at our place for a few days, keep her company.”

So she doesn’t brood alone in that house.

Lawrence understood what he meant and agreed, taking a few days off for Madwoman and calling his uncle to pick them up.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Osborne packed Joyce Shaw’s belongings, and the paperwork was completed. He then pulled Francis Johnson aside, saying solemnly, ”Mr. Johnson, we need to talk. — Joyce’s matter can’t just be left unresolved.”

Francis Johnson also said, ”If you didn’t come to me, I would come to you. Come on, let’s find a place to talk.”

Kenneth Osborne nodded without hesitation, ”Should we go to my company or yours?”

Francis Johnson said, ”Let’s go to my company, it’s closer.”

The two got into their own cars one after the other and drove to Francis Johnson’s SSA Private Equity Fund headquarters.

When Kenneth used to come here, the company had a receptionist, but today, there was no one there.

He didn’t ask, acting as if he hadn’t seen anything, and followed Francis Johnson into his office.

Francis Johnson closed the door and windows, opened his computer, and took out a phone in a plastic bag, saying, ”When I met Joyce, he was still able to hand me his phone and told me his unlock password.”

Kenneth Osborne suddenly realized, ”... Is that why you asked me about Madwoman’s birthday?”

Francis Johnson nodded, pushed the plastic bag with the phone to Kenneth Osborne, ”Give it to Madwoman as a keepsake. I’ve backed up everything here.”

Kenneth Osborne nodded, put the plastic bag away in his bag, and then asked, ”Did he store anything on the phone?”

The list and the video related to the robot were deleted; Madwoman doesn’t need to know about these things, as they would only put her in more danger.

But Kenneth Osborne was different; he had to be aware of his situation.

Francis Johnson sat up straight, saying, ”I don’t know how much Joyce told you about the ins and outs of this matter, but I think you need to know.”

Kenneth Osborne quickly said, ”Actually, Joyce mentioned his concerns to me the day he came to our house party. And...”

Kenneth took out his phone, opened the email app, and said to Francis Johnson, ”He also uploaded this to my cloud account.”

Francis Johnson saw that it was the video of the robot’s visual system reconstruction and quickly said, ”That’s the one, but you’d better delete it completely, don’t keep any of it.”

Kenneth Osborne listened and immediately manually deleted everything Joyce had sent to his cloud account.

Francis Johnson lightly said, ”You don’t have any doubts at all?”

”... Joyce has already vouched for you with his life, if he could trust you, why would I doubt?” Kenneth Osborne also lightly said without any explicit words, but silently opened all permissions in his system to Francis Johnson’s account.

Francis Johnson pressed his lips together, ”Okay, since you trust me, I’ll tell you, Joyce’s incident was definitely not an accident.”

Kenneth Osborne sharply looked up, ”Who wanted to harm him?! Was it really Thomas?!”

Francis Johnson squinted and asked, ”What makes you think so?”

Kenneth Osborne frankly said, ”... Joyce mentioned several times that he didn’t agree with Thomas’s approach. He’s quite the expert in artificial intelligence, but now looking at what he’s done, I have doubts that he only has this one identity.”

”Exactly,” Francis Johnson said, patting his shoulder and solemnly stating, ”You are more vigilant than Joyce, and you must remain more vigilant. Because your value in the eyes of those people is greater than his.”

”That’s for later, for now, I just want to know if Thomas can be held accountable!” Kenneth Osborne said angrily, ”What could be so serious that they’d take Joyce’s life!”

”Because Joyce discovered what they were doing, which would cost them their lives,” Francis Johnson said with a cold smile, ”We had initially locked on a target, but they acted quickly and the driver on the run was already silenced. Thomas’s loose ends were cleaned up thoroughly, making it impossible to link the matter directly to him.”

Kenneth Osborne said in frustration, ”So does this mean you can’t take any action against Thomas because of his international status?”

”It’s not that we can’t take any action, in fact, we are already taking action,” Francis Johnson thought of that list and faintly smiled, ”Just wait and see.”
