Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Didn’t Miss ask Sir to send her away?

Why would Sir suddenly ask about Miss?

Mrs. Rong thought for a moment and looked at Huo Jinnan. ”Miss came back once, it seemed to be on the day Sir and Madam went to register the young master.”

Huo Jinnan took a puff of his cigarette, ”September 1st?”

Mrs. Rong nodded her head, seeing that Sir’s expression was abnormal. Could it be that Miss had made Sir angry again?

She recalled that previously Miss seemed to be somewhat dissatisfied with Madam. She wondered what had happened.

She couldn’t help but look towards Che Huan.

Che Huan stood there, stealing a glance at Huo Jinnan. She suddenly realized what he meant by asking this. Could it be Jinxue?

Even if she didn’t like her, why would she do such a foolish thing? Wasn’t this harmful to others and to herself?

Thinking back to her conversation with Mrs. Zhong, she felt that there was some truth in it.

Mrs. Rong glanced to the side. She had been standing for quite some time and hadn’t heard any further instructions from Sir. Just as she was about to busy herself with her own tasks, Sir’s distinct voice came from behind her—

”When I’m not here, don’t let her in.”

Mrs. Rong turned her head and looked at Huo Jinnan, thinking of Sir’s mother. Could it be that Sir didn’t care at all?

Huo Jinnan glanced at Mrs. Rong. ”Don’t mention anything about Huo Jinxue to my mother, especially what I just said.”

”...”

Mrs. Rong stood there, lowering her head. Sir had actually noticed what was on her mind.

Huo Jinnan added in a low voice, ”If she comes, don’t let my mother know either.”

”Understood, Sir.”

”Go on with your work.”

Mrs. Rong responded and quickly went off to attend to her duties.

Che Huan watched Mrs. Rong walk away and looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Is it really Jinxue?”

Huo Jinnan took another puff of his cigarette and looked at Che Huan, ”Leave these matters to me.”

Che Huan acknowledged, not knowing what to say since it was his own sister.

Huo Jinnan rolled up his sleeve and glanced at his wristwatch. ”I’m going out for a while, I’ll have lunch with Mother, and I’ll come back to spend the evening with you.”

Che Huan acknowledged, helped him straighten his tie, and watched him leave the house. She sat down on the couch with furrowed brows.

Sitting there, watching someone frame her and not being able to help him didn’t feel good at all.

After a while, she saw Mrs. Rong finish her work, wash some fruits and bring them over; Che Huan smiled at Mrs. Rong, ”Come sit here, Mrs. Rong.”

Mrs. Rong sat down beside her, ”Madam, what is it?”

Che Huan looked at Mrs. Rong, ”Did Jinxue go upstairs on the day she came back?”

Mrs. Rong looked at Che Huan. Given the expressions on both Sir and Madam today, it seemed quite out of the ordinary!

Che Huan smiled, ”It’s nothing, I was just asking.”

Mrs. Rong nodded, ”She did go upstairs. Madam happened to be out for a walk when Miss came back. She said she had forgotten a few books in her room last time and didn’t take them, so she asked me for the keys. I was preparing dinner at the time, and Miss said she would go get them herself, so I gave her the keys.”

Che Huan acknowledged with an ”Oh,” ”Were there keys to the study inside as well?”

”There is one.”

Mrs. Rong looked at Che Huan, not knowing why Madam was asking all this.

Che Huan looked at Mrs. Rong, ”What you just told me, don’t tell Sir for now.”

”...”

Mrs. Rong was silent, not understanding Madam’s intention.

Che Huan smiled at Mrs. Rong, ”How many years have you been with Sir?”

Mrs. Rong thought for a moment, ”About six years.”

Six years?

Che Huan pondered for a moment, ”What about Uncle Lu?”

Mrs. Rong smiled, ”Uncle Lu is the same as me. Six years ago, when Sir had just purchased this place, we came here.”

”And Huo Bei?”

Che Huan looked at Mrs. Rong.
