Daddy Always Gets Jealous

He should know better than anyone!

That night, Huo Jinyun found her and told her that her mother was killed by Qin Moting.

Huo Jinyun said that day she was teaching Qin Moting how to drive, he wasn’t very skilled, and her mother went up to pester Qin Moting, demanding that he take responsibility for her, and Qin Moting accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, killing her mother.

”Wen Ru, any man would choose me over you. What is the Wen Family compared to the Huo Family? And what are you compared to me?”

”If you want to keep the child, then keep it. After all, it’s a child who doesn’t even care about his own biological father, I don’t mind anymore.”

...

Thinking back, she couldn’t believe she hadn’t doubted it at the time and had actually thought it was Qin Moting!

She thought Qin Moting pretended not to recognize her in order to cover up his guilt!

She thought the Qin Family and the Huo Family had joined forces to kill her father!

Hearing Qin Moting say ”I’m sorry,” Wen Ru came back to her senses and looked at Qin Moting, ”Back then, Huo Jinyun told me that my mother was killed because you mistook the accelerator for the brake. I just want to ask you, is what she said true, or is what your mother said true?”

Qin Moting clenched his fist tightly, ”I only learned to drive in 2006.”

Wen Ru looked at him, silent.

Qin Moting looked at Wen Ru, ”Don’t worry, I will figure it all out.”

...

Wen Ru lay there, thinking of Huo Jinyun, filled with a hatred that made her very bones creak.

Investigate? How can you investigate? So many years have passed, there can’t be any evidence left!

Huo Jinyun has already gone mad now; she got off lightly!

She looked at Qin Moting, ”Then what exactly is the Qin Family’s involvement in my father’s death?”

Qin Moting spoke quietly, ”Although I don’t remember anything, I know that my mother has always been very guilty about your mother’s death. She would drag my father every year to pay respects to your father and mother, always bringing me along too, and now I finally understand what was going on.”

Wen Ru looked at Qin Moting, he didn’t remember anything?

Qin Moting sat there, holding Wen Ru’s hand tightly, ”Believe me, whoever owes you, I will get it back for you, little by little.”

”You don’t remember anything, what if it was you?”

Wen Ru looked at Qin Moting.

Qin Moting said firmly, ”Then I will give you my life!”

Wen Ru paused for a moment, meeting Qin Moting’s gaze before quickly looking away.

Qin Moting took a deep breath, ”I don’t know why I have forgotten just about you, everything about you.”

Wen Ru turned her head to look at Qin Moting.

Qin Moting looked at her seriously as if contemplating.

She looked at Qin Moting, ”What did you just say... say?”

Qin Moting looked at Wen Ru and spoke honestly, ”In my memory, the day you came to find me was the first time I saw you.”

The first time he saw her?

Wen Ru stared at Qin Moting, her eyes filled with confusion, shock... mixed with too many emotions.

If what he was saying was true, could it be that none of this had anything to do with the Qin Family?

Qin Moting looked at Wen Ru and gently kissed her forehead and tears, ”From now on I will protect you and your daughter, never letting you suffer the slightest grievance.”

Wen Ru remained silent, just looking at Qin Moting.

Qin Moting stroked her hand, ”Me and San’er are investigating what happened that year.”

Wen Ru didn’t know whether to pull away or to believe!

If it was true, thinking back to that year which was like a nightmare, there was so much she didn’t want him to know!

Like that night in Li City!
