Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 218: 218 Coma (4)_1

Uncle Fang was stunned for a moment before speaking in a low voice, ”The old master is not wrong.”

Indeed, from the old master’s perspective, he was thinking of the entire Huo Family, and that couldn’t be considered a fault. It was just that the young miss and the cousin were not very promising. If the cousin had half the composure and ability of the second young master, it wouldn’t be in vain all the years of cultivation, affection, and sacrifice from the old master.

Lately, the old master has grown increasingly unhappy, and he understood that the old master was worried about the future of the Huo Family.

The descendants of the Huo Family were few, especially the younger generation, which included only the young miss, the second and third young masters, and the young lady.

The best candidate for the helm of the Huo Family in the future was still the second young master, yet the old master both admired and feared him, almost to the point of obsession.

The young miss was impetuous, the third young master too carefree, and the young lady too forthright...

As for the cousin, there were even more problems.

How could the old master’s heart not be anxious?

The elder Huo did not speak again and sat in silence, remaining seated until the early morning.

Uncle Gu could not help but remind him, ”Old master, it’s time to rest.”

The old master sighed deeply, looked up at the wall clock, and thought, how could there still be no news at this hour?

He was just about to say something when the phone rang.

Uncle Gu quickly answered, hearing it was the second young master, he hurriedly handed the phone to the old master.

The old master tightly gripped the phone and asked with bated breath, ”Anan, have you found Jizhou?”

Huo Jinnan looked back at Gu Jizhou, who was unconscious in the back seat, ”Grandpa, we have found him. We are heading straight to the hospital and won’t be returning home first.”

The old master held the phone without speaking for a long while, his vision darkening in waves.

After what seemed like an eternity, he asked heavily, ”Jizhou... How is... How is he doing?”

Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette, ”He’s only unconscious. We’ll know more about the specifics once we get to the hospital. I’m driving now; I have to hang up first.”

The old master closed his eyes heavily, ”Did you call an ambulance?”

Huo Jinnan took a drag of his cigarette, his slender fingers resting on the steering wheel, and on the back of his hand was a deep gash, ”Yes, we’re four hours away from Hong Kong, and the road behind is blocked. We could only call an ambulance from Hong Kong, but it’s too far and time is tight. If I drive back, it saves quite a bit of time.”

”Hmm, be careful on the road, consider safety!”

The old master hung up the phone, feeling completely drained, and collapsed heavily onto the sofa.

Uncle Fang quickly supported him, ”Old master!”

The old master did not speak for a long time, sitting for a while before he finally caught his breath, ”Uncle Fang, I am fine.”

Uncle Fang didn’t dare to ask how the cousin was doing.

The old master looked towards Uncle Fang, ”Get me a glass of water.”

Uncle Fang hurriedly poured a glass of water for the old master.

The old master took the cup with trembling hands, took a sip, and felt much better. He then leaned on his walking stick to return to his room, spending the whole night with his eyes wide open.

The next day, at six in the morning, he and Uncle Fang arrived at the hospital together.

Huo Jinnan, Huo Jinyun, and Gu Yunping were in the ICU waiting room, with Huo Bei and the little one also present.

The old master glanced towards the ICU, unable to discern Jizhou’s location, his body swaying lightly.

Uncle Fang quickly steadied the old master.

The little one was unhappy, thinking, no one has died! It’s just that they can’t wake up. Why haven’t they asked how Huo Jinnan is?

He looked at Huo Jinnan and noticed the wound on his father’s hand, ”Dad, you must be tired after driving all night. Let’s go see a doctor to get your hand treated, and then we can go home, alright?”
