Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 210: 210 Mysterious Man (4)_1

He stood up, went to the study, closed the door, and then asked in a deep voice, ”Old Shen, if you have something to say, just speak up.”

Shen Le hesitated for a moment, ”Brother Hua, there’s something I need you to be honest with me about.”

Wen Hua was sitting in the chair, ”Ask.”

Not beating around the bush, Shen Le got straight to the point, ”Who exactly was the person who helped you last time?”

Wen Hua’s heart skipped a beat, ”I see, sorry about that, Old Shen.”

”It’s okay, if there’s anything you need in the future, don’t hide it. Just ask, there’s no need for us to be strangers with each other.”

”Thank you, Old Shen.”

After hanging up the phone, Wen Hua sat there restlessly, Old Shen’s implications were clear!

After thinking for a moment, he called Shen Le again, ”Old Shen, could you do me a favor?”

Shen Le spoke up readily, ”Tell me, Brother Hua, as long as it’s within my power, I’ll definitely help you.”

Wen Hua’s voice was heavy, ”Help me check if there’s anyone influential in Hongcheng who has a pet dog, a German Shepherd, named ’Commander’.”

Commander?

Shen Le took a deep breath. Thinking of this name, it seemed that he had heard Tianyou mention it before. Could it be that what Tianyou said just now had something to do with Commander’s owner?

Considering Wen Hua’s words, it was almost certain that Commander’s owner had taken an interest in Che Huan?

Apart from the Huo Family and the current Qin Family, who else in Hongcheng could have such clout?

He really couldn’t think of anyone, ”Brother Hua, about how old would they be?”

Wen Hua shook his head, ”The age is uncertain.”

”Okay, I’ll look into it and call you when I have some news.”

After hanging up the phone, Shen Le sat there thinking for a while, then went downstairs to see Shen You not off to work, but sitting there chatting with Shen Mubai. He walked over, sat down on the couch, and glanced casually at Shen You.

”Dad.”

Shen You and Shen Mubai greeted him.

Shen Le nodded and, looking at Shen You, said, ”I’ve been thinking of getting a pet dog recently. I remember you once dogsat for a friend for a few days. It was a dog named Commander, with a quite pure breed. I don’t know if it had any puppies, could I get one?”

Why would Old Shen suddenly take an interest in keeping pets? And why would he mention Commander?

Actually, it’s probably Huo bro that Old Shen wants to ask about, right?

He was helping Huo bro in secret, and Old Shen didn’t know about it.

Thinking this, Shen You gave a vague answer, ”Dad, I think you’ve got it wrong? My friend’s pet dog is called ’Company Commander’, a male German Shepherd who’s already been neutered.”

”Then never mind, it was just a sudden whim.” Shen Le didn’t say anything else, wondering who could be so secretive. Tianyou was tight-lipped, even making up ’Company Commander’. It would be futile to ask further.

Shen Mubai, listening on the side, guessed it was related to Che Huan. Otherwise, Father wouldn’t suddenly ask about Commander today.

The two brothers exchanged understanding glances and deftly changed the topic.

Shen Le was a perceptive man. He quickly realized that both sons were hiding something and didn’t continue to inquire or order an investigation.

He approved of his children making good acquaintances.

As for the matter with Wen Hua, he could simply say he hadn’t found anything when the time came.

...

Three days later, Wen Hua received a call from Shen Le. He hadn’t found out anything.

After the call, Wen Hua glanced at Wen Nuan and Che Huan sitting on the couch watching a TV drama, ”Huanhuan, come over here for a moment.”
