Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 216: 216 Coma (2)_1

Huo Jinnan glanced at Huo Bei, stood up, and walked out to the balcony, looking at the torrential rain outside, ”Not busy.”

The little guy had just come downstairs, thinking there was something outside the window, followed him over, and stood next to Huo Jinnan, standing on tiptoes, took a peek outside, and it seemed there was nothing—it was just raining!

He craned his neck and looked up at Huo Jinnan, who was actually on the phone.

The little guy had excellent hearing and soon heard the old man’s voice—

”Anan, Jizhou suddenly came back from the army this morning, and it’s already nine in the evening, but he still hasn’t returned. There’s been a typhoon and thunderstorms near Winter City these past few days, and I really can’t help but worry that something might have happened. Can you intercept him on the road?”

The little guy couldn’t help but grumble in complaint, ”You see, your grandfather, why does he only worry about that guy with the surname Gu getting into trouble, and not afraid that you will?”

Huo Jinnan looked down at the little guy, his gaze growing much deeper.

The little guy pursed his lips unhappily, ”Don’t go, he’s such a big guy, and he’s not made of paper; you’re not a Transformer!”

The old man heard the little guy’s childish voice, not knowing what to say for a moment, his face colored with awkwardness.

After a long time without hearing Huo Jinnan’s voice, he took a breath, ”Anan, it’s not that Grandpa doesn’t worry about you, it’s just you...”

”I’ll go have a look,” Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette and looked down at the little guy.

Hearing that Anan had agreed, and thinking back to the little guy’s earlier objections, could it be that he had indeed been too protective of Jizhou over the years?

Even a child feels he is biased?

The old man took a deep breath, not in the best of spirits, ”You should go with Ayun, she’s over here.”

”Alright, I’ll go pick her up.” Huo Jinnan hung up the phone, and glanced at Huo Bei, ”Prepare the car.”

The little guy muttered dissatisfiedly from the side, ”Although not many people like you, they may not be concerned for you, but I still care about you! Maybe you shouldn’t go?”

Huo Jinnan looked down at the little guy, ”I’ll be back tomorrow morning.”

”Oh, then you must come back, or I’ll become an orphan, and they will definitely not take care of me, and I’ll become a little beggar.”

The little guy looked at Huo Jinnan anxiously and spoke awkwardly.

Huo Jinnan ”hmmed” in response and turned back to look at Huo Bei.

It’s raining, and the master still has to go out?

Huo Bei looked at the master and thought about the little master’s words; he knew it might have something to do with the young master, and related to the news from Winter City.

Noticing the master’s expression, Huo Bei had just turned around when he heard Huo Jinnan’s chilly voice.

”That Range Rover.”

Zun Hei?

That was the car the elder young master used to drive, parked in the garage for many years without anyone touching it. Why did the master suddenly want to use that car?

Huo Bei looked back at Huo Jinnan, although he wasn’t a superstitious person, he always felt it wasn’t very auspicious to go to Winter City in the elder young master’s car.

Huo Jinnan put out the cigarette in his hand and turned to go upstairs.

Huo Bei checked the car in the garage restlessly, making sure it was in working order, then drove it to the front of the apartment. There, the master stood in a dark blue trench coat, holding a black umbrella, with the little master standing on one side and the group leader squatting on the other.

Seeing Huo Bei bring the car over, the little guy looked down at Dahei and couldn’t help but murmur, ”Dahei, when you go, you have to protect Dad, okay? Otherwise, when you come back, I’ll chop off your tail.”

Dahei quietly tucked his tail underneath him.

The little guy glared at him discontentedly and raised his voice a notch, ”Dahei, did you hear me?”
