Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Che Huan glanced at the time; it was already three o’clock. She hadn’t expected to sleep straight through from half past twelve to three.

Thinking back to the little guy’s dozing off just now, he must have sat waiting for her for several hours; she couldn’t help but feel her eyes moisten, ”How long have you been here?”

The little guy walked over and took Che Huan’s hand, ”Not long.”

Che Huan looked down at the little guy. Initially, because of Huo Jinnan, she felt somewhat uncomfortable looking at the little guy, but now, all that discomfort had vanished completely.

Who could refuse such a heartwarming little person?

Che Huan bent down, caressing the little guy’s face, and leaned in to kiss his cheek.

The little guy stood there dumbfounded, his nose turning red, and his ears also blushed.

Huanhuan had just kissed him!

He secretly touched the area over his heart, his heartbeat racing fast!

Che Huan smiled at the little guy, ”Huanhuan isn’t sick, just hasn’t been sleeping well these past few days.”

The little guy furrowed his brows, ”Why haven’t you been sleeping well?”

Why indeed?

Che Huan frowned, ”The uncle upstairs doesn’t sleep at night and snores; I can hear it through the ceiling, and it keeps Huanhuan from sleeping.”

The little guy uttered an ”Oh,” his eyes darting around as he pondered how he might manage to drive away Huanhuan’s snoring uncle from upstairs.

It wasn’t until Shen Mubai’s call came that the little guy realized they had missed the appointment time. He pinched Che Huan’s hand, ”Huanhuan, I’ve already arranged things with Uncle Shen, and he’s still waiting for us. Let’s go check it out. Uncle Shen is really good at treating girls’ illnesses. A lot of girls go to him, maybe he has a way to help you sleep.”

Thinking of the effort the little guy had put in for her, Che Huan couldn’t bear to refuse, ”Okay, after Huanhuan finishes work then.”

The little guy gripped Che Huan’s hand tightly, a sincere expression on his face, ”Huanhuan, it’s okay, I’ve already asked for leave for you.”

Che Huan smiled; no wonder no one woke her up when she slept until this time—it had been the little guy’s doing.

She walked out of the hospital holding the little guy’s hand, seeing Uncle Lu’s car already waiting at the entrance.

Che Huan got into the car and, seeing the ashtray filled with cigarette ash, realized Uncle Lu had been waiting for a long time. She felt somewhat apologetic, ”Uncle Lu, I’m so sorry.”

Uncle Lu smiled indifferently, ”Miss Cheng, you’re too polite.”

The little guy sat down next to Che Huan, holding her hand tightly. Noticing Uncle Lu was about to speak, the little guy pursed his lips and said seriously, ”Uncle Lu, let’s go!”

”Yes, Young Master.”

Uncle Lu started the car.

When they arrived at Muhe Hospital, Shen Mubai had already been waiting for quite a while. Seeing the little guy, he walked over and pinched his nose, ”Little guy, you’re late.”

The little guy smiled sheepishly, pursing his lips, ”Sorry, Uncle Shen, we got caught in traffic.”

He looked back at Che Huan and introduced her to Shen Mubai with an air of a little adult, ”This is the Huanhuan I told you about. She hasn’t been sleeping well lately and looks really pale. Please check her out, maybe it’s something like hormonal imbalance.”

Che Huan blushed at his words, the little guy clearly had no idea what hormonal imbalance meant, right?

Shen Mubai smiled at the little guy and then turned to a blushing Che Huan, extending his hand slowly, ”Hello, I’m Shen Mubai.”

Shen Mubai, what a nice name!

”I’m Che Huan.”

Che Huan smiled politely, just about to shake his hand when the little guy pulled her hand back, casting Shen Mubai a displeased glance. If they were here to see the doctor, then just see the doctor—what’s with the handshaking!
