Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Aside from being biased, the old master still has a very upright manner. After this incident, Yunqing will probably have a difficult time marrying into the Huo Family!

That might be for the best, cutting off her lingering thoughts.

Having thought this, he glanced at Gu Jizhou.

Gu Jizhou said softly, ”Dad, don’t worry, my aunt won’t have any problems.”

Knowing that the old master favored Jizhou the most, Gu Yunping felt much more relieved after hearing that, ”Jizhou, don’t cause trouble in the army, and don’t make your great-grandfather angry.”

”I know.”

Gu Jizhou lowered his head, staring at his shadow on the floor, he lit a cigarette, his eyes dark and fierce.

What on earth was his uncle implying?

If his uncle knew, could he still go to the army smoothly, and successfully transfer to military status?

Thinking of this, Gu Jizhou walked onto the balcony, glanced back at Huo Jinyun’s direction, casually closed the door behind him, and picked up his phone to call Huo Jinnan.

The call connected quickly, and he murmured, ”Uncle, I’m going to the army tomorrow, just letting you know.”

Huo Jinnan made a noncommittal sound, ”Why are you suddenly joining the army?”

Gu Jizhou smiled faintly, ”Che Huan found out I went to the club, and she’s filing for divorce. The case is being handled by Qin Shaojin, didn’t he mention it to you, uncle?”

”He seldom talks to me about his work.” Huo Jinnan was playing golf with Qin Shaojin, he put down the club and walked to the side.

Gu Jizhou lit another cigarette, ”I see. Uncle, you also know Qin Shaojin’s capability, I had no choice. I still have feelings for Che Huan and don’t want a divorce, so I can only hide in the army for a while. A military marriage is protected; I guess his reach can’t extend that far.”

Huo Jinnan remained silent, his thin lips pressed into a straight line. Over the years, Gu Jizhou had become much shrewder than before, even bringing the cunning he used in the business world upon himself!

Gu Jizhou paused, and after not hearing Huo Jinnan’s voice for a while, he spoke softly again, ”Once I go, I can only come back for leave during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Please, uncle, say some good words for me and Che Huan in front of great-grandfather and grandfather.”

Huo Jinnan readily agreed, ”Alright.”

Gu Jizhou’s eyes showed a flicker of emotion, and he caught his breath, completely unexpected that he would get such a response, ”Right, there’s another thing I need to ask of you, uncle.”

Huo Jinnan looked down at the cigarette between his fingers, ”What is it?”

Gu Jizhou remembered what his aunt had said before, ”My aunt is in trouble because of something she did to Yunqing because of me, perhaps with Qin Shaojin’s involvement. Please speak on my aunt’s behalf in front of Qin Shaojin, uncle, don’t be too hard on her.”

Huo Jinnan gracefully flicked off the ash, ”That’s possible.”

Gu Jizhou gave a soft laugh, ”Then thank you, uncle. I’m leaving in a bit, I’ll hang up now. I’ll bring Che Huan with me to see you when I come back for the Mid-Autumn Festival.”

”Alright.”

Huo Jinnan ended the call, the cigarette in his hand twirled and he pinched it out with his fingers, then turned back to Huo Bei, ”Let’s go back.”

Huo Bei went to drive the car.

Half an hour later, they arrived at Nanyuan Villa.

Upon entering the study, Huo Jinnan pulled open a drawer, took out a clear plastic sealable bag, and handed it to Huo Bei, ”Take the young master to get vaccinated, and get a blood sample for DNA testing while you’re at it.”

”Yes, sir.”

Huo Bei took it and glanced inside; the bag contained a blood-stained sheet.

DNA testing?

Looking at the blood-stained sheet, his mind raced, was it Miss Che’s?

So, the master is still not certain whether the young master and Miss Che are mother and son?

He had mentioned doing a paternity test before, but the master hadn’t commented, and he thought it was unnecessary. He hadn’t expected it to happen now.
