Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Gu Yunping supported Gu Yunqing as she lay down and looked towards Huo Jinyun, ”Yunqing needs to rest now, we can talk about other things later.”

Huo Jinyun sat there silently, glancing at Gu Yunqing, not knowing what else she was keeping from her!

She knew Anan’s character well. If he said so, there must be something else, perhaps even more serious than that incident from years ago!

Gu Yunqing didn’t dare to look at Huo Jinyun, ”Brother, sister-in-law, you’re also tired, go rest. I won’t do anything foolish again.”

Gu Yunping stood up and looked in Huo Jinyun’s direction, ”Yunyun, let’s go.”

Huo Jinyun felt angry, but given that Gu Yunqing was still in her hospital bed, she did not think it appropriate to cause a scene at that moment and followed Gu Yunping out.

Watching them leave, Gu Yunqing picked up her phone and called Gu Jizhou in a panic, ”Jizhou, Huo Jinnan seems to know about the child!”

”I know,” Gu Jizhou ended the call and sat in his office, smoking for a while. He looked at his assistant, ”Did you get the purple clay teapot I ordered last time?”

The assistant looked at Gu Jizhou, ”It’s been completed. It was delivered just yesterday, but I haven’t had the chance to report to Mr. Gu.”

”Bring it to me.” Gu Jizhou’s eyes were coldly set against the night outside. Now that he had made it clear with his uncle that Che Huan was his wife, he wondered what Huo Jinnan was planning.

The assistant left the CEO’s office and soon returned with someone carrying the teapot to place it on Gu Jizhou’s desk, ”Mr. Gu, this is the purple clay teapot you ordered, all handmade, the finest quality.”

Gu Jizhou stood up, opened the refined packaging, and glanced inside. The teapot was very much to the old grandfather’s liking, with a unique style, and the inscription was also of his favorite poem and calligraphy, ”Good.”

He packed it up as it was and carried it out of the office.

Arriving at the Huo Mansion, the old master had just finished watching the news and was getting ready to sleep when Gu Jizhou entered, ”Why have you come so late?”

Gu Jizhou smiled at the old master and placed the box on the coffee table.

Recalling the call from Jizhou in the evening, the old master looked at it leisurely and didn’t say a word, sitting back on the sofa and opening the box.

Inside, the purple clay teapot was clearly of the highest quality.

The old master took it out, carefully examined it for a while, placed it on the coffee table, and looked in Gu Jizhou’s direction, ”Rarely you show such thoughtfulness.”

Gu Jizhou walked over and began to massage the old master’s shoulders, ”Old Grandfather, let me brew you a cup of tea with this pot. I guarantee the color will be clear and the aroma pure.”

”That’s enough, who drinks tea in the middle of the night!” The old master still didn’t know his intentions, glanced at Gu Jizhou, and noticed that the scabs on his face had healed, leaving only faint marks, remembering the cane stroke he had delivered, ”How’s the wound on your back?”

Gu Jizhou chuckled lightly, ”It’s nothing, I can take a thrashing from Old Grandfather’s cane.”

”You’re asking for it, deserve a beating, remember this for the future.” The old master closed his eyes comfortably, but his heart felt heavy.

The older he got, the more he thought, and some things became harder to let go, slowly turning into obsessions.

He feared that once he closed his eyes someday, and a hundred years passed, the harmony the Huo family now feigned would cease to exist!

What had passed was gone beyond recall. It was important to arrange everything properly for the living and for the future, during his remaining years.

As Gu Jizhou massaged the old master’s shoulders, he said, ”As you command, Old Grandfather.”

The old master answered with a ”Hmm,” ”Tell me, why did you suddenly think of joining the military?”
