Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 161: 161 So what if you saw it? (3)_1

However, everything would come to an end with her divorce.

Not only that, but she would also need to keep her distance from the little guy. If she hadn’t guessed wrong, they must be a family; it was just that she hadn’t realized it sooner.

...

The next morning, Che Huan wasn’t feeling very well and didn’t go to the hospital. She called and asked for leave from the head nurse and swapped shifts with another nurse.

When the little guy arrived at the hospital and didn’t see Che Huan, he felt uneasy. He asked the head nurse and found out that Huanhuan was sick.

He pursed his lips and dialed Che Huan’s number on his cellphone, only to be met with a busy signal. Frowning, he wondered, what’s going on? Who is Huanhuan talking to on the phone for so long?

Could his cellphone be broken?

After school, he asked Uncle Lu to take him to the cellphone store.

Once there, the little guy handed over his phone, speaking in a tender voice, ”My cellphone seems to be broken. It can’t get through to this number.”

The repair technician glanced at it. This phone wasn’t available on the market; he was completely unfamiliar with it, ”Can you call other numbers?”

”Yes.” The little guy nodded, a sulk forming at the corner of his mouth. He hadn’t managed to put Gu Jizhou on the block list yet. Could Huanhuan have set him to the block list?

That couldn’t be the case. Definitely not!

It absolutely couldn’t be!

The little guy muttered quietly to himself, casting a glance at Uncle Lu.

Uncle Lu stood by the side, not speaking out of place, just watching the young master.

The repair technician looked at Uncle Lu, ”What brand is this phone?”

Uncle Lu didn’t waste words, ”Can’t you fix it?”

The technician seemed to understand and looked apologetically at the little guy, ”Young sir, your phone should be fine. Try calling again tomorrow.”

The little guy took back his phone sullenly and sat in the car, fiddling with it in his hands.

When they arrived back at Nanyuan Villa, he glanced at Huo Jinnan, ”Dad, can I use your phone for a bit?”

Huo Jinnan handed over his phone to the little guy.

The little guy took it and dialed Huanhuan’s mobile number, only to hear the message ”The number you have dialed does not exist,” and his eyes widened in shock.

Huo Jinnan’s brow furrowed, he swept a glance at the little guy and took the phone to turn on the speaker.

Upon hearing the message clearly, he looked at the little guy.

The little guy, afraid that Huo Jinnan would learn it was Huanhuan’s number, turned his dark eyes around, ”It’s my classmate’s home number. Weird how it can’t be reached. I was worried my phone was broken.”

Huo Jinnan remained silent, lifting his gaze to glance at Huo Bei before heading straight upstairs.

Huo Bei had already guessed that his words from the day before might have caused a problem and silently lowered his head to follow.

The little guy sat on the couch with his legs stretched out, looking towards the stairs. Could Huo Jinnan know that it was Huanhuan’s number?

What was he calling Huo Bei upstairs for?

He wanted to go up and have a look but, recalling Huo Jinnan’s foul temper, he dismissed the idea and couldn’t help muttering, ”Could Huanhuan have fallen for someone else?”

Uncle Lu heard this but pretended he hadn’t heard anything.

Mr. Huo’s feelings towards Che Huan were also unclear to Uncle Lu. It was difficult to predict what would happen in the future.

Did Mr. Huo call Huo Bei upstairs because of the sudden cancellation of Miss Che’s phone number?

He raised his head to look in the direction of the second floor.

The study

Huo Jinnan sat on the sofa, lifting his eyes to look at Huo Bei.

Under the excessively sharp gaze, Huo Bei bowed his head, ”Sir, I apologize for speaking out of turn.”

He recounted exactly what he had said at that time.

Huo Jinnan’s brows tightened. Just because of that, she had canceled her phone number?
