Chapter 126: Revised: Volume 3 Chapter 32 Next Task, Behind Enemy Lines!_3

Liebgoet finally finished his thoughts, looked up and smiled, ”If he lands in the Western Hemisphere, he will be making a mistake. He shouldn’t abandon the Eastern area so quickly.”

Fatty raised his head and exhaled, only to see Russell smiling at him. Fatty rolled his eyes and said, ”What’s up!”

Russell smiled, ”It seems you have already reached a conclusion.” Fatty said, ”If I don’t understand your thoughts after seeing the news about the third phase of the landing forces assembling, I would indeed be too dumb!” Russell said, ”Oh? Let’s hear it.” Fatty proudly pointed to the map of Lucerne Planet and said, ”Usually, landing operations involve the vanguard forces establishing a foothold, followed by successive waves of troops to consolidate and expand the occupied area, eventually forming a rear operational mode. However, since the first phase of landing started, I have noticed a problem. Logically, the Federation’s transport capabilities are sufficient to deploy more troops to Lucerne at the same time, so why didn’t you do this? Not only was the first phase of forces scattered, but there was no subsequent force support, you even continuously ignited war fire with these forces!”

Bernadotte, who heard the conversation between the two, walked over with great interest and asked, ”Then tell us why we did it this way.”

Fatty angrily said, ”You misled me from the beginning! You were not landing at all! This was a large-scale long-distance transport attack! No rear, the rear is on Miloke Planet, here! You are too despicable, this is essentially a massively expanded enemy rear air drop attack.”

Russell laughed, ”Well said, you continue, but we didn’t mislead you initially. What we showed you was not a landing plan, but a strategic plan.”

Fatty was speechless, as it seemed they indeed didn’t let him focus only on the landing. He sighed in frustration and continued, ”You exploited the Empire’s ignorance of the Federation’s exact transport capabilities. The role of the initial landing forces was to engage the enemy’s forces, retreat as a progression! Disperse Gazalin Empire’s forces in the East through localized skirmishes, lure them into attacking. The seemingly chaotic escape of the landing forces was actually pre-planned. Now, the enemy’s attention must be attracted to the Western forces of the second phase deployment. They can’t imagine that the Western landing is just a part of the plan. The real heavy punch is the third phase landing forces, surpassing the Empire’s expectations!”

Russell nodded and said, ”Then tell us where the third phase landing site will be?”

”Here! Elephant Mountain!” Fatty decisively pointed to this strategic location on the map, ”The forces of the First Armored Division heading towards the Amayo Mountain line have been attracted by the Sixteenth Division. Their target is not actually Amayo Mountain; they are also bait, attracting forces along the line within two hundred kilometers of Elephant Mountain to besiege them. Meanwhile, other seemingly fleeing troops are also disrupting the situation. However, they conduct movements as a regiment unit, meaning they can always cross-cover by tail-cutting, converge together. The nearest of these forces is only three hundred kilometers away from Elephant Mountain, and at most six hundred kilometers. When they converge, they become a sharp knife, capable of thrusting into Elephant Mountain after the Sixteenth Division and the Army First Division attract the enemy’s forces in succession. As soon as Elephant Mountain is secured, it will be like nailing a nail in the East, and in coordination with the Western landing, completely disrupt Lucerne Empire’s guard deployment!”

Russell smiled and clapped, ”Not bad, you are right. This is not a simple landing, but a large-scale multi-point air drop attack under the guise of landing. It utilizes the Federation’s most powerful group transport capabilities, deploying troops in a timeframe the enemy can’t imagine — what originally took over two weeks in a point breakthrough air drop, we now deploy all forces within three days! The first phase is to disrupt, the second phase is to attract, and the third phase is to strike. However...” Russell’s face turned serious, ”Without ground-based air forces, once the Space Fleet engages, how will these landing forces ensure defense?”

Fatty pouted and said, ”Stop fooling around. What’s the point of the 9th Armored Division occupying such a large area? The second phase of the air drop can use one-third more transport ships. Moreover, as long as the Western Hemisphere forces’ offensive progresses smoothly, it will eventually be able to form an external-internal encirclement and siege on the remaining twenty cities of the enemy.”

Bernadotte and Russell exchanged smiles and said, ”Excellent! It seems you have developed a very high level of judgment and can accept the next mission!”

Fatty was taken aback, ”Next mission? Where to?”

”Behind enemy lines!”

Liebgoet carefully studied the map, his expression suddenly became solemn. The Federation’s forces had already begun to converge under cross-covering maneuvers. He ordered, ”Immediately command to abandon the attack on the B line and Amayo Mountain enemy forces, fully withdrawal to reinforce Elephant Mountain!”
