Beneath the Red Dragon

”So, you will hold this gift from the Dragon Emperor for me,” Silver Dragon Chris grasped the heavy scroll with her claw and handed it to Cecilia, saying softly, ”You will be inseparable from me, and everything I know, I will teach you without reservation!”

The young Black Dragon Cecilia solemnly nodded, holding the heavy and precious scroll tightly in her left claw, squatting to the side of the three adult Metal Dragons.

”Can I also, can I also, be accepted, be forgiven?” The mature female Green Dragon Sarena stepped out, her cunning and sinister gaze unable to hide her longing.

Among Colorful Dragons, the act of devouring one’s own kind is considered taboo, but she had no choice. She was well aware of the temper of the Ancestral Golden Dragon Erikson because she was a Green Dragon species well-versed in understanding human hearts.

If it weren’t for such absolute brutality and cruelty to intimidate the other Five-Color Dragons, how could the Ancestral Golden Dragon Erikson maintain his hypocritical dignity and foolish nobility?

The adult Silver Dragon Chris Tianna gently shook her head and said, ”I don’t know!”

”Actions speak louder than words, but your intentions at the time may not have truly represented your heart.”

”However, you can still pursue a path like mine,” Silver Dragon Chris said softly: ”Embarking on this path means a complete change in your being, a new start and future, which for a mature Giant Dragon is much more difficult!”

”This is already close to reshaping one’s three views, like peeling skin and shaving bones, whilst completely destroying your original mental dependencies. Without breaking through your own limitations and remolding yourself, you cannot succeed!”

The mature Green Dragon Sarena remained silent for a moment, then rasped out in a harsh Dragon Language voice: ”Even if I fail, I want to know how far I was from the end. It’s better than now!”

The adult Silver Dragon nodded, raised her head, and looked at the other hesitant Giant Dragons, laughing: ”Do you have to be a wild dog whose spine has been ripped out before you want to become a roaring savage beast Giant Dragon?”

”Those who have resolved to do so, come to my left, those who cannot decide, leave to the right!”

The moonlight was like water, shrouding two mysterious visitors under a veil. But whether these Giant Dragons, or the once appeared Legendary Titan and Legendary Golden Dragon, none had discovered these visitors hidden in the moonlight.

Tall and thin bodies were cloaked under splendid robes, the mature mage was dry and thin like a poplar tree in the desert, while the young mage was as robust as a tiger in the forest.

”Knowing it’s very difficult to succeed, wanting to change the innate blood nature of Giant Dragons is almost impossible. Even though I have researched related subjects, it feels like a fantasy,”

The older mage exclaimed: ”In the eyes of the vast majority of this world, this is an unbelievable heretic act, but these few Giant Dragons know it can’t be done yet continue to do so. I can already sense it, the spirit of a great civilization is being born!”

The young mage indifferently smacked his lips and said: ”Teacher, what’s the big deal? You’ve taken me across so many planes, haven’t we seen enough of various civilizations!”

The older mage widened his eyes, blowing his neatly trimmed short beard, ”You understand nothing, this is a civilization belonging to Dragons, a true civilization, and not a realm forged by power.”

”And look at others, do you think it’s very proud to have touched the threshold of Legend at twenty-one? Do you feel very proud being hailed as the world’s top genius among young mages? That Dragon could squash you like squashing a fly.”

”According to the intelligence we’ve gathered, based on the age of the Dragon, he isn’t much older than you. For a Giant Dragon among the mortal world to achieve such accomplishments is already beyond imagination for someone like you, a waste.”

The young mage shrank his neck, muttering: ”I’m a waste, then what are you? I remember you became a Legend when you were sixty.”

The older mage fumed, slapping the young mage’s head, making a loud thumping sound.

”Back in my day, I didn’t have a teacher as good as myself, to bring you to various planes to train and gain insights, to find your own goals and path so that you can become a Legend. If I had a teacher as outstanding as myself, I would’ve been much stronger than you!”

”I’m telling you, if after these experiences you still haven’t found your own ideology, and become an ordinary Legend like other wastes, I’ll throw you into the 166th layer of the Endless Abyss to fend for yourself, lest you disgrace me!”

”Get ready, I’ll take you to see the power of those Divine Favored!”

...

”Your Eminence, Your Eminence?”

In the spacious room, a pair of dark blue eyes rapidly enlarged before him, the soft call awakened the silent Karon.

Holy Sanctuary Grandmaster and one of the Wise Kings of the Golden Empire, Mo Fanleid, looked at the revived Karon Gogomola with a worried expression.

It was not due to Karon Gogomola’s Emperor status, but because Mo Fanleid, as a mage, regarded Karon as a rare friend with whom he could have satisfying conversations.

Others were always unable to precisely understand the words and meanings Mo Fanleid wanted to convey, even the Green Dragon Antajena, after scenting incense, was considered by Mo Fanleid as someone among the idiots.

The Green Dragon Antajena was very smart, but being smart does not mean being wise!
