Beneath the Red Dragon

Whoosh, boom.

The two streaks of blush-colored light instantly transformed from faint to a deep red, like the color only coagulated from all the blood in the world, not dazzling, but striking.

The crimson light shot out in that instant, violently colliding with the falling Thunder Light Whip, producing a thunderous explosion in the air.

The Thunder Light Whip had gathered the power of the sea of thunder, yet was instantly shattered after a brief stalemate, eventually disappearing simultaneously with the two streaks of crimson in mid-air.

Swish, swish, swish,

Storm Titan Dalia was forced to retreat a few steps by this unexpected power, crushing several giant trees underfoot, she looked at the scene before her with shock and asked in amazement, ”What is this power?”

The Cloud Giant and those Dragons also stared in astonishment at this spectacle. Ancestral Golden Dragon Erikson’s previously triumphant expression froze, and even the shadow of Legend’s Mature Golden Dragon Nasuye emerged silently amidst the clouds, quietly observing the land below.

Hoo,

The evening breeze blew, and the scroll suspended above Adult Silver Dragon Chris’s head had completely unfolded.

All living beings could see, it was a peculiar artwork.

The being within the artwork was a shadow-like, lifelike Giant Dragon, merely crouched atop the majestic mountain peak within the scroll, as if overlooking the insignificance below.

An ethereal and nearly towering aura pervaded the scroll, as if a mysterious change had occurred. All living beings could see the raised muscles beneath the shadowed scales of the Giant Dragon, its thick tail coiled like a blue dragon, broad and robust back with shoulder muscles, the head extended from them, four pairs of exceedingly long dragon horns piercing directly into their sight.

Even in this shadow-like image, the Dragons and Giants present guessed at its significance.

Until the dragon in the painting suddenly turned its head, gazing back like a falcon or wolf at its creation, they realized the dragon’s eyes were the most profound blood-red.

No pupils, no apertures, just two patches of blood-red, shining brilliantly.

The night was cool, but not as cool as the moment the dragon in the scroll looked at them.

”Roar,”

The continuous Dragon Roar echoed and re-echoed, and the tumultuous cries of the Cloud Giants filled the surroundings. These two blood-red gazes seemed to simultaneously watch all living beings, who, in its eyes, were equal, destined to be slaughtered like lambs.

The scales of different colored Dragons involuntarily bristled, like large hunting cats encountering a highly lethal danger while slowly retreating backward with low growls.

These Dragons had their scales upon their backs begin to erupt under the gaze of the dragon in the artwork; though it wasn’t a chilling murderous intent, a feeling of impending slaughter and destruction enveloped the heart of every living being.

Even Legend’s Storm Titan Dalia couldn’t help but lowly roar, ”Damn it, Silver Dragon, what terrifying creature have you released, quickly close that scroll.”

Perhaps it was because of the Storm Titan’s words that the dragon within the scroll reacted.

The world brightened.

For the dragon within the scroll was turning away, swimming outward.

The winged giant shadow came into existence, and thus all shadows beneath the living beings twisted and came to life, gathering to become part of that colossal giant shadow.

The layers of dark clouds in the sky, originally material in color, vanished as the giant shadow appeared, transforming into layers of translucent white clouds floating.

Thus, the newly risen moon cast its moonlight, illuminating the earth brightly.

The world became extraordinarily bright, yet all spirits and minds were plunged into a darkness-shrouded, lightless realm, for they discovered that the shadows of all material existence in this world had vanished completely at this moment.

Even their shadows, even a tree, a rock, a mountain peak. A world without shadows, a world entirely of light, ought to be praised and lauded by all beings, yet a bone-chilling cold began to descend upon every living being’s heart.

Even the legendary Storm Titan, whose pupils normally blazed with thunderous light, were now occupied by an expression of panic, as she slowly retreated a step at a time.

”Titan’s leftover seed, come here, kneel!” The winged shadow’s head slightly extended, the heavy Dragon Language resounded, shaking the heart of every living being!
