Armed Train in the Apocalypse

As for the secrets of energy and rules that concern the foundation of Tier Four, he wouldn’t say a word, let him guess.

Number 1 said indifferently, ”I’ve already told you my secret, don’t you want to tell me at least one? Besides, this is not really a secret.”

Su Huan laughed more happily, ”Who told you this was an equivalent exchange?”

”Boom—”

The sound of a giant tree collapsing came through. In fact, this was not the first time.

When Su Huan arrived, there was a constant rumbling outside, like two savage giant beasts having a great battle deep in the jungle, only this time, the sound was much louder.

”Hehehe... Donghuang, you liar!”

An indistinct voice came from the dark forest, like a beast’s roar, terrifying to an extreme degree.

”Bang Bang Bang!”

A huge black figure charged recklessly through the forest, with broad shoulders, faintly visible crimson eyes squeezed between its chest.

Dozens of giant redwoods embraced by three people broke silently at the waist, and the upper part of the tree crown tilted in the air before a crisp ”snap!” exploded in the sky above the slope.

The air was pulled out into a vacuum tunnel, and the air currents on both sides ferociously filled in, sweeping up dead leaves, pebbles, and even fleeing Evolution Beasts, all sucked into that invisible whip mark, instantly pulverizing them.

The bloody wind cut like a knife to the face.

Faced with a cunning and ferocious strike, the conductor simply raised his hand, a bone whip like a scorpion’s tail appearing between his fingers.

A Slaughterer, five meters tall, stood in the forest, staring intently at him.

The corpse armor on his body resembled a general’s armor, only thicker and more ferocious, with bizarre raised patterns. His hands were no longer weapons, but agile fingers grasping a fierce long-handled knife, the blade alone was 4.5 meters, while the other end of the bone whip was held in Su Huan’s hand.

A terrifying energy burst forth, already approaching mid-Tier Three.

However, the energy fluctuations were not stable, the crimson gaze occasionally dimmed, and the momentum on his body would fall back significantly.

”How long has this been going on?” Su Huan asked.

The depth of Number 1’s gaze held fanaticism, ”Don’t underestimate him, Su Huan, this is a true masterpiece, a rival I’ve painstakingly created for you!”

Su Huan looked down at Number 1 in surprise, his pupils expanding greatly in the shadows, swallowing the already scarce iris color, leaving only two pitch-black eyes, with a fiery, almost childlike curiosity, like a child peeling open an animal’s flesh and blood for the first time, watching how they grow and pulse.

Then he laughed heartily.

His shoulders relaxed, his chest heaving violently, as if a beast from hell lurked under his black shirt.

Number 1 frowned at him, ”Did you find my words laughable?”

Just as he doubted if the language logic he instilled this time had any problems, Su Huan patted his shoulder and said, ”You’re truly a warm-hearted bastard!”

”Crunch!”

Number 1’s half shoulder collapsed, but he just glanced at it calmly and said, ”No need to test me, this body’s pain nerves are not well developed, only about five percent.”

Su Huan paused his laughter, seriously said, ”I won’t kill you, but why do you think someone who’s barely Tier Three could defeat me, who’s Tier Four?”

”The Tier Three Genetic Potion I gave him is actually imperfect and causes guaranteed gene collapse.”

”You really are a natural-born villain.”

Su Huan’s smile almost reached behind his ears, the aura of Tier Four quietly appeared around him, overpowering the Slaughterer who had entered a berserk state from a distance.

”But I seem to like you more now.”

Number 1 observed the state of the Slaughterer and Su Huan, data streams flashed through his eyes, ”You are more like a Slaughterer than him, but when an Evolver degenerates into a Slaughterer, they ascend one tier.”

”Oh?” Su Huan’s expression collected, his heart somewhat conflicted.

Should he not tell him it’s impossible to ascend to Tier Four without contact with the rules?

Should he tell him how the story continues?

But it’s really hard to bear not messing with his mind now.

Number 1 continued, ”The only thing I’m unsure of is whether the ascension at the time of gene collapse is effective, so I lured you here in advance, fearing he’d die prematurely, unable to hold on until you arrived. But now it seems, it’s enough.”

As the words fell, the familiar fluctuations appeared behind the Slaughterer that Su Huan recognized.

Letting those beautifully slender eyes slightly widen.

That was—

Rule!

An ordinary stone suddenly lit up with purple-black patterns.

Those patterns floated in mid-air, but didn’t seem to exist there, each one twisting and rotating, releasing a deadly allure.

And the end of the patterns at this moment connected to the Slaughterer’s leg.

The formerly disjointed and meaningless patterns on the corpse armor slowly started to light up, purple-black lines spread from the calf up to the waist, covering a large chest area in an instant, a kind of pressure filled with terror, cruelty, and coldness was released from the Slaughterer.

The entire Plant Zone seemed to be responding to the king’s call, even substances beyond Su Huan’s grasp escaped from the plants from all around, gathering on the Slaughterer, the vigorous Life Force suddenly plummeted to the bottom, but the momentum multiplied at a terrifying speed.

Regardless of whether the Slaughterer would die in the future, at this moment, he was their king.

They would obey this life that mastered the rule!

In Su Huan’s perception, it felt as if a male appeared very close by, whose mere presence there made him entirely uncomfortable, not to mention the moment the other’s rule formed, it frantically fought with him for the control of this area.

Two tigers cannot share one mountain, and two kings cannot rule one nation!

This provocation was more intense than any words, causing one to feel outrage.

Just like being forcibly dragged from the throne, the feeling of ”loss” activated his primal anger.

Almost instantly, glowing white patterns already climbed by his mouth, seeping into his shirt collar, energy within tens of kilometers boiled, rushing towards the center.

Two completely different kinds of aura clashed fiercely above the Plant Zone.

If Su Huan’s rule patterns were order and grandeur, the Slaughterer’s was negative, fear, slaughter.

Though the two rules were not like water and fire, they were not compatible at all.

A strong wind arose, tree shadows swayed, huge vines extended tendrils towards the sky like seaweed in water, thunder hid in gloom, the scorching sun concealed in the night, as if the whole world was in confrontation!

Number 1 stood behind Su Huan, looking through the gaps in his fingers at the spectacular scene before him, the data stream in his eyes making his eyes resemble giant headlights.

His murmur was almost scattered by the wind.

”Su Huan, this is truly the opponent I found for you, a Tier Four Terror Slaughterer mastering the Rule of Fear, only by using your full strength can you survive.”

Su Huan, whose feet had already left the ground, suddenly turned back, revealed a bizarre smile, ”As long as this body doesn’t die, you can’t generate the next one, right?”

After saying that, without waiting for his reaction, he turned his head to face the Slaughterer before him.

A Tier Four opponent.

If you exclude those undying strange lives beyond Donghuang, the whole world couldn’t find a second one.

Admittedly, Number 1 really hit the mark with this gift.

Since advancing to Tier Three, he never had an equally matched opponent again, even a collective lifeform like the Big Fungus Carpet in front of him was nothing but a big pile of cannon fodder after all.

And before a Tier Four Evolver who mastered the rule, all collectives lost restraint, all numbers lost meaning.

Only rules can counter rules, only Tier Four can counter Tier Four.

There is no room for any trickery.

Only a truly super-evolutionary life can battle it out!
