Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Without any adjustment movement, Bai Lu had already darted from three meters away, with the army knife held in reverse grip, its tip pointing like a fang straight at Golden Kite Tang Zhan’s throat.

The fierce murderous intent made everyone’s skin tingle painfully.

Tang Zhan’s pupils contracted abruptly, and his foot, which hadn’t yet landed, suddenly retracted backward a step, dodging sideways, the blade brushing just half a centimeter past his Adam’s apple; he could almost see the horror in his own eyes.

”Zing!”

The dagger retracted, tearing through the bulletproof tactical vest, and a line of blood gushed out.

Tang Zhan, without uttering a word, swallowed the blow, retreating explosively, knocking down three Black Kite Special Service members who were watching nearby, and his gloomy gaze fixed intently on Bai Lu.

After confirming that Bai Lu wasn’t chasing after him, he first grasped the army knife in hand, then tore off the tactical vest that had been slashed open at the chest.

A cut at least thirty centimeters long spanned his chest; if the tactical vest hadn’t been too thick and the dagger too short, Bai Lu would have gutted him on the spot!

He hadn’t expected at all that Bai Lu had actually advanced to a Tier Two Evolver!

Because of this one careless error, he suffered a setback.

”Ka ka...”

”Damn it!”

”They’re really going for the kill!”

Listening to the painful howls of comrades knocked flying, the Special Service members, realizing belatedly, raised their gun muzzles, surrounding the armed soldiers in the middle with suspicion and anger.

Bai Lu’s actions were too swift, and by the time they reacted, the first exchange between the two Tier Two Evolvers had been completed.

Tang Zhan was not dead.

Commander Wang was stunned by the scene before him and shouted angrily, ”Do you know what you are doing?”

The Giraffe laughed heartily, ”Doing what? Fighting!”

”Do you have a problem with that?”

The Giraffe’s face suddenly twisted, saliva spraying onto the face full of sharp brows and starry eyes.

Commander Wang forced down his anger, ”Are you sure you can bear the consequences?”

”Consequences? You think letting the conductor beat the hell out of you Black Kite folks is satisfying? Are all of you Black Kites just good for nothing?”

”Huh? Answer me?!”

The Giraffe grabbed Wang’s collar and cursed.

Lately, these bastards had been causing him all sorts of trouble secretly and openly, trying to help Mr. Shu stabilize the external situation while enduring this group of assholes, adding on the recent assassination attempt; he was now filled with anger.

His words further enraged the surrounding Black Kite Special Service members, bringing even more people over.

At the moment he was lifted, Commander Wang was completely dumbfounded.

When Black Kite was first established, the Wang family had already entered, and their family connections were deeply intertwined within the organization. If it weren’t for Wang Yi betting on the wrong horse, the Wang family would have even surpassed the Shu family within Black Kite!

After Black Kite split, the Wang family chose to support Mr. Shu, and their power not only didn’t decline but became even greater.

After all, Wang Yi was his elder sister, and Shu Wei had to call him uncle!

There were few in all of Black Kite who could snub him, and today he was actually being lifted by his collar in public!

The enormous sense of humiliation had just arisen when it was suppressed by the Giraffe’s murderous intent.

Commander Wang’s face turned pale; this killing maniac would actually dare kill him!

His voice trembled, ”Your conductor is in the Plant Zone, this is the Storm Zone! There are at least two major zones between us!”

The Giraffe sneered, ”Your dog is blocked by my brother, unless you bring another Tier Two, wait, no... you are only twenty centimeters away from me now, even if you bring another dog, it would be too late. As long as I make a decision, I could twist your head off.”

Being called a dog, Tang Zhan’s face looked even worse. Staring at Bai Lu, he sneered coldly, ”A dog that bites doesn’t bark!”

Then, without the slightest concern for Commander Wang’s life or death while being held by the Giraffe, he clashed with Bai Lu once more.

Relying on the experience from advancing to Tier Two early, he finally found an opportunity and lunged fiercely at Bai Lu’s waist.

The knife tip easily pierced the trench coat, but the moment it touched the suit beneath, he sensed something was wrong; with his strength, he surprisingly couldn’t penetrate this suit!

In the momentary shock, Bai Lu dealt him another heavy blow.

The Tier Three battle suit wasn’t something that could be pierced easily; even Tang Zhan’s broken knife might not be as tough as this layer of skin. Having that big gun might’ve given him a chance, but now it was akin to being barehanded!

In a same-tier life-and-death fight, with a battle suit, Bai Lu was invincible.

...

”Once we regain these few points, even if Number One returns, there’s nothing he can do,”

Shu Wei, dressed in a conductor’s black uniform, stated calmly.

Standing beside her, Mr. Shu looked appreciatively at his daughter, sighing, ”You’ve indeed grown a lot during this time on the Armed Train.”

”Instead of talking nonsense, you should hurry and push forward the base construction progress. For a long time to come, you’ll have to rely on this new base to stabilize your territory and compete with Number One.”

Just as Mr. Shu was about to speak, someone came in quickly to report the news of the soldiers’ conflict.

They put aside what they were doing and rushed to the scene.

The Giraffe, gripping Commander Wang, was shouting profusely, leaving his hair slicked back with saliva.

Bai Lu eyed Tang Zhan intently, thrusting with his knife, each blow avoiding vital spots, and turned the opponent into a blood-soaked gourd.

The eight people Commander Wang brought along were holding guns but dared not fire, only surrounding the situation.

Around them was a group of angry Black Kite Special Service members.

Many had already gone to put on their gear.

Even Mr. Shu was baffled upon seeing this scene, shouting angrily, ”Stop!”

The Giraffe glanced at him but continued cursing.

Bai Lu took advantage of Tang Zhan’s momentary distraction to land two more kicks, leaving him with black eyes.

It wasn’t until Shu Wei walked over that the Giraffe released Commander Wang.

Seeing the father-daughter pair approaching, Commander Wang, as if seeing his anchor, embellished and exaggeratedly described the Giraffe’s arrogance, and their restraint despite being attacked.
