Armed Train in the Apocalypse

For example, surrounding one’s hand with lightning can increase the power and speed of punches.

Or imitate Qi Zhendong’s ability; although he cannot perfectly become invisible like Qi, he can momentarily blur his appearance using converted light and coupled with extreme speed, it appears as if he has vanished.

But these means are based on ”Fighting Expert” as the mainstay, with ”Fusion Furnace” as support, and their destructive power is far less than manually conducting fusion.

He doesn’t even know the full power of his manually conjured fusion, but it’s certainly a range he couldn’t escape himself.

But Su Huan has not given up, perhaps the combination of two professions over time could merge into a new one.

He Jie led the soldiers to attack from four directions, gradually consuming zombie numbers. On the first two days, they annihilated a large zombie horde, totaling six hundred thousand zombies, securing countless resources, eight thousand new soldiers lightly injured fourteen hundred, severely wounded two hundred, and over six hundred deceased.

However, the proportion of Tier One Evolvers is even higher.

Even the likes of Giraffe, Miao Qi have entered Tier One; the early officers have all entered Tier One, and some have gone far within Tier One.

He Jie, Liang Kuan, Xiaoba are nearing Tier Two.

However, there have been no changes to the overall military hierarchy.

According to the rules set by the train conductor, the baseline for non-commissioned officers is Tier One, lieutenants Tier Two, school officers Tier Three, generals Tier Four.

Currently, only Lin Jin is Tier Two, but he is already a school officer, hence no one can promote his rank.

To achieve changes, there must be a large-scale entry into Tier Three first.

On the train crew side, Professor Ma, Director Xu, and others have successively entered Tier One, some may be delayed, but overall Tier One seems unavoidable, since they’re all relatively young.

The significant outcome is that the train evolution database has seen a rise in professions.

Su Huan is familiar with some, but for those he doesn’t know, he has to rename them, brainstorming till he’s worn out.

Nevertheless, a lot of professional information has been dissected, and Director Xu’s laboratory has been breaking through constantly, fueled by adrenaline, supplementing ample factual theory about evolution.

It even corrected several cognitive misconceptions Su Huan had.

For instance, Tier Two ”Motorcycle Modifier”, which Su Huan initially thought was a branch of Tier Two ”Mechanician Apprentice”, requiring prior promotion to ”Mechanician Apprentice” before exploring this direction.

In reality, ”Motorcycle Modifier” has prerequisite Tier One professions.

However, ”Mechanician Apprentice” is special, as the ”system’s core profession”, it has the qualification to ”jump”.

But conversely, the prerequisite for ”Motorcycle Modifier”, Tier One ”Mechanic” cannot advance to Tier Two ”Mechanician”, he can only advance upwards, or jump to a yet undiscovered niche profession.

Director Xu named this phenomenon using MMO job transitions.

Restriction is the core transitioning to branch.

Building on this theory, Su Huan’s half-understood lineage found its footing.

This diverse flourishing greatly enriches the professional system, but it also introduces much uncertainty, such as no subsequent formulas or accurate training directions, leaving many stuck at Tier One for life, similar to the former life of Huang Sea.

This uncertainty is deadly for an organization.

Therefore, the train stabilized some professions with further development, such as ”Firepower Hand”, ”Mechanician Apprentice”, ”Charging Specialist”.

This time, a large batch was added, like ”Mechanic”, ”Trace Expert”, ”Pharmacist”...

Securing some department’s main professions, hence steadily supplementing manpower.

Turning uncontrollable evolution into controllable.

The next day, the auction officially began.

The auction is divided into two parts; the first part spans three days, with over a hundred items placed in the hall, participants need only leave their price on them, at the end, the highest bidder, or rather, the price the item owner acknowledges, wins.

On the fourth day, a normal auction occurs, with twelve meticulously chosen items by the train, auctioned one by one.

Items like Crown Pear, Tier Five profession formula, high-grade evolution materials, etc., are traded at this time.

Small factions may not engage in the latter part of the auction but can conduct some minor transactions in the first three days, the train takes a ten percent commission on each, accumulating to an extent not significantly less profitable than the latter.

Only this way can the main goal of resource coordination be achieved.

As the auction officially commenced, a dusty convoy slowly entered Zhijin.

The armored off-road vehicle at the forefront brazenly bore the Deep Blue Data’s twin tower insignia, Wei Mountain, dressed in a dark gray suit, sat steadily in the rear seat, resting with his eyes closed, but his visible fatigue couldn’t be hidden.

Ever since learning about the armed train auction, he had been preparing to head this way.

Then he received news of the Genetic Primordial’s appearance, quickly turned around to capture, circled widely, and found out Genetic Primordial’s destination was also Zhijin!

Wei Mountain could only return to headquarters, recalibrate the entire plan, then hurriedly come over.

If the Genetic Primordial simply fled, he’d bear responsibility but not to the point of death.

But if it fled onto the armed train, he’d have no chance at recovery.

Now all he can do is pray the train hasn’t discovered the Genetic Primordial, then mobilize resources to capture it.

Direct confrontation is impossible, in the absence of an army, a Tier Three Evolver is invincible, so covert actions are the only way.

Even then, capturing someone under the nose of a Tier Three Evolver is immensely risky, but it’s the sole option.
