Armed Train in the Apocalypse

When the woman appeared at the doorway, she immediately attracted the fervent gazes around her.

Though there might be some restraint elsewhere, here, no one hides their desires.

Moreover, the woman was dressed even more provocatively than the women working the trade here. Her clothing barely covered the essentials, leaving large swaths of smooth skin exposed, with her curves sharply defined at the waist, conveying a sense of strength rather than frailness.

This was a body radiating wild power and voluptuous beauty.

Everyone instinctively ignored the disproportionately large battle axe on her shoulder.

”This one’s a new face!”

A man nearby stared intently.

His two companions also had their eyes glued to the woman, but one hesitated, ”Looks like we don’t have enough cash...”

”This one’s a masterpiece, don’t mind the messy face; take a look at those hips and the height — it’ll definitely be wild!”

The man who spoke first was filled with greed, wishing he could devour the woman.

”Alright, let’s gather up some more.”

With the man’s encouragement, the other two quickly got excited.

The woman glanced at the house before her, raised her foot, but a man in patched leather armor stepped forward to block her way.

The leading man emptied a handful of bullets into the woman’s hand, feeling her delicate hand, his heart burning with desire, ”Is this enough?”

There seemed to be a lot of bullets, a full handful, with some slipping through her petite fingers.

The sound of metal hitting the ground was crisp, but it was only fourteen or fifteen at most.

The woman was a bit surprised, not expecting to have work so soon.

Still unsure of the value, she asked with some confusion, ”Is it enough to buy meat?”

Her low, husky voice stirred the men.

They exchanged looks, eyes glittering, ’There’s a chance!’

Another man deliberately shook the bulging ammo pouch at his waist, feigning generosity, ”I’ll throw in some extra for you.”

The woman’s eyes shifted slightly, the edges of her pupils tinged with red, ”Who all is there?”

The three men chuckled, their expressions lewd, ”Just us three, don’t worry, we’ll make it worth your while. Doing business with us three will keep you busy all night.”

”Alright.”

The woman turned and walked away.

The three eagerly followed, eyes locked on her lower back, irritated by the obstructive black pants.

In the dimly lit alley, there was the sound of belts being unbuckled, the metal clasps clicking like a countdown.

A violent wave of Pan Energy exploded, alarming the command post at the head of the armed train.

Tong Zizhan and Gao Yuan’s team immediately set off, racing towards Chenxi Square.

Sand drifted like tiny flying insects in the beams of the searchlights. The woman stood deep within the alley, three deformed corpses scattered at her feet, blood not yet coagulated, absorbed into the dry sand as brown mud.

The woman sat atop one of the corpses, counted the bullets one by one, then remembered something, bent down to pull the ammo pouch from the corpse, blood beads gliding down the curve but stopped as she halted.

The pouch opened, revealing the heavy handgun bullets inside.

The alley echoed with her melodious hum, like the music of a traveler returning home.

”Murder is still the quickest way.”

The woman strolled out of the alley, carrying her battle axe, each step landing like tread on soft sand.

Though her blood-drenched appearance startled passersby, observing her relaxed demeanor, people gradually turned away.

In the alley behind, two men crouched in the corner.

One suddenly spoke, ”...Seems like it’s the one who fled from headquarters, they’ve notified all the collectors, saying to report any clues—”

”Do you think anyone will take over for us?”

The other asked in return.

The first fell silent.

After a while, a flicker of flame rose, smoke drifting, ”Then I saw nothing.”

The other patted his shoulder, humming lightly, ”If you saw nothing, then I see less.”

”What do we say when they three arrive later?”

”Just say they came too late.”

”Doesn’t matter if things escalate over here, right?”

”Isn’t that seeing something?”

”...”

”Yeah.”

”Don’t overdo it; our lives aren’t just in the conductor’s hands, but also Deep Blue Data’s. Less work, fewer mistakes.”

Just as his words fell, urgent footsteps echoed from outside the alley.

A question came through the radio.

”What’s the situation, the two are already on their way to assist.”

”Three horny bastards dead, haven’t seen the killer, but the carnage suggests someone like Liang Kuan in melee, combined with He the Dog’s cruelty.”

After a moment, a reply came through the walkie-talkie.

Glasses: ”The command post has recorded everything verbatim; since it involves a Tier Three Evolver, it’s been transferred to Colonel He.”

”...”

The warmth of the two-story building outside continued to shine, the doorway bustling with people.

Men, and women.

Inside wafted the scent of cheap incense, mixed with sweat and some bodily fluid fermenting. A woman standing by the door was adjusting the garter on her thigh, hearing the noise she looked up, her gaze first falling on the still-blooded axe, then slowly climbing upwards, past the sand-speckled calves, the taut bottom line of suit pants, a pale strip of skin exposed at the waist, finally the unabashedly displayed assets above.

”Who are you?” Garter woman asked hesitantly.

It’s not uncommon for women to seek pleasure, but the demeanor of the one before her was genuinely intimidating.
