Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The zombie tide in Zhijin City had a small uprising, but the sound was reduced layer by layer, only Yu Yue could hear it.

Su Huan sat at the command post in the engine room, watching the surveillance inside and outside the train, surprised, ”Zhijin zombie tide uprising?”

Yu Yue said softly, ”The scale was large, but the calming speed was extremely fast, in just about a minute or so.”

”Who cares about it, I’m not going.” Su Huan said, pointing at a few people on the screen, ”These people have barely moved their pens from start to finish, go see what’s going on, and if they are just pretending, haul them out and shoot them.”

The bespectacled person beside him responded respectfully, ”Yes.”

...

The wind noise diminished, and the buildings ravaged by the sandstorm on the roadside gradually revealed their full appearance.

Mutant plants cautiously poked their heads out from inside the buildings, pushed away the sand and dust piled at the doors, like the owners cleaning up a city forgotten by humans, occasionally pausing their actions, cautiously ”watching” the massive convoy on the abandoned road ahead.

In Li Xinlong’s anxious gaze, Hu Shuo led a group of people out.

Meeting his gaze, Hu Shuo calmly said, ”A total of twelve people passed, among which two reached instructor level, earning an additional sixty points. Do you want to proceed with the previous exchange plan?”

”One heavy sniper rifle with a 12.7mm caliber, one Chi Thunder-2 sniping grenade launcher, and exchange the rest for bullets. I don’t want the thirty-year-old iron-head model for the heavy sniper, I want the Dragon-head from thirty years.”

Without looking at the list, Hu Shuo decisively shook his head, ”The talent provided by the Black Star Convoy only amounts to 90 points, while a thirty-year production heavy sniper already costs 75 points, and the sniping grenade launcher is even more valuable than the heavy sniper, this transaction is impossible.”

Li Xinlong and Pang Ke exchanged a glance, a bit troubled.

Hu Shuo reminded, ”If you two haven’t decided, you can discuss it first, I’ve recorded the points, you can come back later.”

After saying this, he walked toward the Jinfeng Chamber of Commerce.

This time the Jinfeng Chamber of Commerce is the big player, they alone contributed over sixty talents.

Pang Ke cursed at the few people who were sent back, ”Each of you can’t fight, can’t study, what are you good for?!”

Everyone kept silent, not daring to say a word.

Li Xinlong irritably waved his hand, only then did they retreat relieved.

There are so many good things in the armored train, he wanted each one of them, but right now what Black Star lacked most was this kind of long-range deterrent firepower.

It’s not that Black Star didn’t have sniper rifles, in the past six months they had raided quite a few Law Enforcer agencies, managing to acquire some.

But the night owl sniper rifles equipped by Law Enforcers were too weak, let alone targeting mutants or other big targets, even shooting people was becoming a struggle.

Without ultra-long-range deterrent firepower suppression, facing high-tier zombies and mutant beasts could only be exchanged with lives.

Just look at the heavy machine gun on his car roof, it had already changed six gunners, one of whom was close to a Tier One ”Defender.”

It’s not the firepower that’s lacking, it’s that the level of evolution has risen.

From far away, it’s inaccurate, from close, it doesn’t matter if it’s a Night Demon or any evolution beast, they can trade one for one before dying, just because Black Star Convoy’s weapons are too thin, unable to form a layered fire strike.

And the situation of the armored train is just the opposite.

Before zombies had generally evolved, the train, with its hard shell and rifles, could easily crush them.

When Tier One Zombies became common, heavy machine guns, anti-aircraft machine guns, grenades, rocket launchers... had already become the train’s routine output means.

Most could only see He Jie two-handed anti-aircraft, arrogant and domineering, but above his head were dozens of drones, beside him were the train and armed transport vehicles equipped with anti-aircraft and heavy machine guns, filled with hundreds of thousands of rounds and soldiers reloading for him, behind him were Qu Hang, Yu Yue and a dozen others with heavy snipers, facing him was an iron shield holding off Slaughterer Liang Kuan, plus Mountain Goat and a bunch of well-trained veterans.

When zombies reached Tier Two, the combat radius of the armored train had evolved from a few kilometers to dozens of kilometers in all directions.

Waiting for the zombies to rush under the artillery into the train, what greeted them was the even more evolved conductor...

So the train traveled all the way, facing evolution beasts and zombie tides with hardly any major casualties.

This is the significance of weapons.

”Why don’t we sell some more supplies?”

Pang Ke suggested.

Li Xinlong sighed, ”All the trading supplies have been put on the market, and considering the wealth of the train, do you think any of our supplies could impress them?”

Pang Ke thought for a moment and agreed, his eyes spun around.

”Why don’t we not go for the sniping grenade launcher, just get two iron-head heavy snipers, although a bit old, but military stuff is durable and sturdy, two of them together only cost 80 points, and exchange the rest for bullets.”

”It’s just that exchanging for bullets feels a bit wasteful, we still have quite a bit of 12.7mm×99mm bullets, and the train’s points are worth more than bullets.”

Li Xinlong said in a deep voice, ”This is the only way.”

Pang Ke was about to go call Hu Shuo, then suddenly slapped his forehead, ”Almost forgot, isn’t that fool also a teacher?”

Li Xinlong was taken aback, ”Which fool?”

”I’ll find him for you.”

...

”Brother Wei, we’re in luck, Master Rong wants to see you and that fool.”

Someone quickly walked over, kicked the body of a pickup truck and said.

From under the car, a dark figure quickly crawled out, with only the whites of his eyes visible.

”Master Rong wants to see me?”

The person pursed his lips, ”Master Ke said it himself, could it be fake? Take that fool and go quickly, don’t keep Master Rong waiting too long.”

Yuan Wei hurriedly climbed out of the car, looked towards the front of the convoy, only to see a stretch of vehicles with no end in sight, all kinds of things, blocking his view, but not blocking the seven or eight meters high steel monster.

It had been more than an hour since they had been stopped.
