Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 451: Chapter 289: Beaten to Death

Old Wu is right.

This is the apocalypse.

The laws before the apocalypse are no longer in effect.

So the first conflict between Old Wu and the mongoose, Su Huan didn’t pay attention to.

He didn’t even clearly indicate who should be punished, only gave them an opportunity to resolve the dispute.

The only one who suffered was the woman who got scammed.

But...

What does it matter to him?

This time Old Wu committed many offenses: a gunpoint, abusing subordinates, causing new recruits to flee, and if probed, there were many more violations.

But the only thing that truly touched the bottom line was this.

On the train, only the train commander’s word matters, Su Huan doesn’t want, nor want to see, such a formidable existence.

He Jie’s power to yell and command was given by him.

If I don’t give it, you can’t take it by force.

This is Su Huan’s belief: absolute self-centeredness.

The thunder gradually dimmed, but the despair on Old Wu’s face grew stronger.

If He Jie beat him up fiercely, even if he was half-dead, he could live.

But the train commander stopped He Jie, which means, no matter what, he must die here today.

Su Huan turned his head and pulled out a rubber baton from the officer’s lower back. Initially, only He Jie used it to beat recruits, but later when he upgraded to an electric baton, every officer carried one during training.

Holding the baton, Su Huan walked straight up to Old Wu’s woman.

Bai Lu didn’t care for tenderness; with one hand on the woman’s throat and the other holding a gun to her mouth.

Due to suffocation, the woman couldn’t care about modesty, using both hands to try and pull Bai Lu’s arm.

Seeing the train commander approaching, Bai Lu released her.

The woman coughed violently a few times, saw Su Huan in front, and hastily covered her body, a terrified and innocent look on her face.

Before she could react to her posture, she saw the train commander smiling as he handed her the baton.

”Go, hit him.”

The woman shook her head in terror.

Su Huan chuckled lightly, extending the baton to the female soldier behind, asking earnestly, ”What about you, won’t you dare either?”

The female soldier, Wang Ling, with a previously dull gaze, suddenly brightened. She fiercely tied the torn clothing at her chest, took the baton, and walked towards Old Wu.

She smacked it right at his round head.

”Bang!”

Old Wu didn’t make a sound, his body didn’t even sway.

Wang Ling’s initial movements were somewhat slow, but soon she struck harder and harder, each blow aimed at the top of the head, her gaze fierce like a female leopard’s.

The atmosphere in the square was eerie, only the dull sound of blows could be heard.

Blood flowed down Old Wu’s face.

”Wait a moment.”

Su Huan’s clear voice came through, the female soldier regretfully stopped, turned around, and respectfully handed over the blood-stained baton.

Su Huan pointed helplessly at Old Wu’s woman, ”I meant hit her.”

Wang Ling cast a complex look at the train commander, then turned to face the terrified woman.

At the start, it was she who had coaxed and deceived her onto Old Wu’s bed, then the two of them abused and intimidated her. Regardless of her evolving abilities or her status on the train, she was far inferior to Old Wu and his partner; she had attempted to resist.

But she only suffered worse torment.

She thought she would remain like this until she died on some mission, not expecting the other two soldiers would defect.

Instead, it gave her an opportunity.

But...

How did the train commander know about all this?

No time to think, the woman was kicked over.

Wang Ling swung the baton down with intense hatred.

The woman screamed and tried to run, but was blocked by Bai Lu, forced to endure Wang Ling’s beating.

She couldn’t withstand it like Old Wu; after a few blows, she began to cry and beg for mercy.

Su Huan watched all this calmly.

Old Wu was very cautious; he did many things behind the monitoring.

But to the train commander, there are no secrets on the train.

A week ago, after meeting Zhang Qiang, Su Huan had Shu Wei investigate those two soldiers, and through Su Reya’s profiling, combined with various onboard monitors, by the third day, Shu Wei had compiled Old Wu’s misdeeds into a file and placed it on his desk.

Su Huan had suppressed it, casually instructing Shu Wei to investigate the other officers.

There were more or less some minor issues.

But they didn’t touch the principle, he planned to give it to He Jie for resolution once he was discharged.

Unexpectedly, within two or three days, the deserter incident occurred.

Su Huan was furious, not intending to spare He Jie’s face anymore.

”Report, train commander, I accuse Captain Mountain Goat of also abusing subordinates!”

A loud voice came from the crowd, interrupting Su Huan’s thoughts.

Looking up, it was a tall, burly man with a square face and determined eyes.

The crowd emitted a slight stir.

All kinds of strange looks turned towards Mountain Goat.

Those who had a good relationship with Mountain Goat, like Pang Tu and Giraffe, glared at the soldier.

”Are you all trying to rebel?!”

He Jie, with a face dark as soot, trembled all over like a volcano about to erupt.

He had only rested for a few days, and the corps was already in disarray.

He had confidently assured the train commander that reforms would be made.

But with so many incidents, he couldn’t even occupy his position with face anymore.

”Major General He, are you going to cover for him?”

The soldier, having gauged Su Huan’s attitude, straightened his neck, determinedly confronting He Jie.

Mountain Goat didn’t even turn around, just silently looked at the train commander, awaiting orders.

Su Huan tidied his hair, couldn’t help but chuckle twice.

Mountain Goat was naturally on this investigation list.

Mountain Goat had traded all his monthly points for alcohol, then called Bai Lu and others over to drink, and after they got drunk, he played cards and won everything from the drunken bunch.

According to pre-apocalypse military law, indeed there were wrongs, but such mistakes Su Huan couldn’t be bothered to mention.
