Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 461: Chapter 294: Thunder River in the Sandstorm

Bai Lu understood and pulled out a silver pistol.

”Bang bang bang...”

Exactly nine shots.

The firelit up the inside of the house brightly.

The unique smell of gunpowder and blood in the wilderness instantly filled the nostrils.

Only one guy with a neck as long as a giraffe’s was left.

The big goose was stunned as he watched the head, who used to boss around, get shot in the head. He instinctively licked his warm lips, the metallic taste overwhelming, almost making him vomit.

Su Huan rubbed his temples, ”Change rooms, forget it, let’s go back to the car.”

He had seen the power of the two new guns.

The bulletproof vest worked well too, after all, Lao San took so many kicks and didn’t die.

Of course, that’s because the kangaroo was merciful.

Anyway, it was a Tier One Evolution Beast, kicking someone like Lao San who hasn’t even ranked yet requires caution.

That’s why Su Huan spared the mother and its cub’s life.

Let’s try raising them first.

If they can’t be tamed, they’ll serve as a living reserve.

The problem of skilled personnel for power armor needs to be addressed.

Back on the vehicle, as soon as Huang Sea heard there was a new species, he enthusiastically took his assistant Xiaowang to bring back the two kangaroos.

He said that the iron wire vine grass on the vehicle was rampant lately, so they were pondering what to find to eat it.

Su Huan had a positive attitude toward Huang Sea’s breeding skills.

The flock of chickens that boarded initially had expanded to more than ten, and the train now had a stable supply of eggs. Especially in the front dining car, you could occasionally eat one or two small hens about to mutate.

In the dining car, Su Huan leaned back on the sofa, and the big goose knelt firmly on the ground, recounting the causes and consequences like pouring out beans from a bamboo tube.

Most survivor settlements in the Storm Zone are established around big city ruins because only the remnants of big city ruins can support these people.

They would place their old camps in the surrounding counties.

Around the ruins of Xiaohe City, there are three counties supporting dozens of convoys, camps, and many scattered survivors. The largest force is the Black Star Convoy formed by locals, and this mother kangaroo escaped from their hunting, then got targeted by their Dragon Rider Convoy.

Chased here, the kangaroo survived.

Their Dragon Rider Convoy was written off.

”With such a big name, aren’t they afraid of being crushed?”

The giraffe sneered.

The big goose lowered his head, staring at the carpet’s pattern, not daring to make a sound.

He had thought Su Huan was a cohort of Hu Tieche, but upon seeing this imposing armed train, he immediately realized they were clearly a powerful force!

”Doesn’t Pingqiao Village have any strong forces?”

Su Huan asked.

”When the sandstorm came, everyone died, and later a group of soldiers cleaned it up...”

”Where did the soldiers come from? Did you see them yourself?”

The giraffe immediately interrupted him.

The big goose was startled for a moment, ”Didn’t... didn’t see, but I heard gunfire at the time, no one else but the military could make such a big scene...”

”It should be Black Kite, continue.”

Su Huan said blandly.

How could the military possibly come to clear a small village?

The big goose continued, ”Pingqiao Village was home to a fierce person, incredibly strong, able to flip vehicles with bare hands, so they called him Hu Tieche. We originally thought it was him here, but unexpectedly ran into you lords.”

Learning about the Slaughterer’s identity by accident, Su Huan didn’t care.

”Do you have any mechanical repair experts in your three counties?”

Su Huan asked.

”Mechanical repair experts?” The big goose’s eyes lit up, ”Are you looking to repair a vehicle? I know two auto mechanics, they’re quite skilled.”

”What about their education?”

The big goose was momentarily dumbfounded, ”I haven’t inquired about that.”

Secretly thinking to himself, how high could the education of an auto mechanic be?

”Do you have any specialists?”

Su Huan rephrased his question.

”We don’t have any here, but Zhijin definitely has!”

”How can you be sure?”

”Before the apocalypse, Zhijin was our most developed city, with many renowned universities in the province, and lately, resources are getting increasingly scarce, so lots of people are heading towards Zhijin, since it’s affluent over there. If you’re looking for specialists, you’re sure to find them there.”

Su Huan waved his hand, signaling the giraffe to take the big goose away.

This Dragon Rider Convoy only has a big name, but is actually just a small fry; lots of information is just hearsay.

”But it is certain that making Zhijin City a short-term target is correct.”

Shu Wei said.

”Yes, how is phase three going?”

Su Huan asked Yu Jing, who was sitting on the ground nearby.

Because the power armor design wasn’t complete and lacked the Black Kite Exoskeleton’s joint-locking technology, the chair couldn’t bear the weight, so the two had to sit on the ground to avoid damaging the dining car’s facilities.

Yu Jing shook her head, ”It’s still under discussion.”

”So slow?”

Su Huan felt like the train’s development had hit a bottleneck.

It seemed like all prior accumulations had been exhausted, and none of the laboratories had produced significant results for ages.

”Because there is no framework plan, and our needs are somewhat vague; currently, the train doesn’t have major shortcomings in survival, defense, or attack. The track issue has been fully resolved using equipment provided by Black Kite. Now, the teachers are discussing the next upgrade direction.”

”The director suggested increasing the train’s power, using the spare engine to create a booster system for the train, which can be understood as adding two wheels behind a child’s bicycle. However, the train’s booster system is more complex, involving designs for special terrain extraction.”

”Vice President Deng felt the train still lacks firepower, so resources should be concentrated to specially manufacture several artillery carriages, and then design a system to link all current firepower together...”
