Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 453: Chapter 290: Youth, Stories, and Cats

Su Huan thought for a moment, the situation was indeed as she described.

The rush of major powers only targeted high-level Evolvers like He Jie and Zhao Kuo, while the evolution of ordinary people began after the apocalypse.

Large-scale zombie hordes appear to make it easier to obtain Pan-energy Crystal.

The first month of the armed train was mainly spent escaping the high-temperature zone, leaving Su Huan with no time to plan for the other passengers, thus delaying a month’s time.

With the train’s overall number of passengers, maintaining this resource-rich elite cultivation model, the month’s time difference can soon be erased.

”Were the Gene Elixirs provided in large quantities this time?”

Su Huan suddenly asked.

Shu Wei, with composure, replied, ”Most of them are concentrated in basic elixirs, a complete set of Tier One elixirs consists of twenty sets, ten of which are common professions, and the other ten are ’Maker’ flesh direction elixirs developed by Black Kite.”

Su Huan laughed coldly.

The intentions of Black Kite were quite apparent.

According to Mr. Shu, good Profession Elixirs and Tier Two and above Profession Elixirs are all managed by Number 1.

Alerting Number 1 prematurely would mean not getting a complete set of elixirs and large quantities of materials.

Not even a single Pan-energy Crystal would be handed over.

Anyway, even the worst resources are still resources, at worst they could be exchanged for something useful.

”The ten profession Evolution Potions that match our planning framework should be kept, and the ones that don’t should go into the points exchange pool. I don’t require the crew’s combat strength to be that high, so basic elixirs should also be open for their exchange, you may handle the proportions yourselves, ensuring that by June the train can promote a large number to Tier One.”

The remaining ten sets of ’Maker’ Profession Elixirs were put on hold by Su Huan.

The fact that Yu Jing was on this path had already troubled him enough.

For the others, it’s not worth it.

When the time comes, find a way to exchange with other forces.

The crazies playing with taboos haven’t matured yet, and the downsides of flesh evolution haven’t been discovered, it’s still a shiny complete set of Profession Elixirs.

”Alright.” Shu Wei glanced at the tactical tablet in hand and said softly, ”Allow me to remind you, the ’Firepower Hand’ provided by Gunfire and the subsequent Tier Three profession directions have been validated as feasible by Director Xu, and there’s also some business from the Pan-Asian Alliance. He hopes you can go take a look.”

”Oh, how much longer?”

”In ten minutes.”

”Then let’s go now.”

Su Huan got up and walked towards the back.

The windows fragmented the storm zone’s scorching sunlight into bright, warm square patches, casting them onto the ground, softening the edges.

The slow movement of the train allowed Su Huan to more easily observe the scenery outside the window.

The once lush ground, after being ravaged repeatedly by wind and sand, presented a western visage, with dead grass lying low, trembling spasmodically as the wind blew through.

These things were novel to him, even a few stubborn brambles warranted several more looks from him.

Although the Acid Rain Zone and Flood Zone had the greatest power boosts for him.

If it were up to Su Huan himself to choose, he’d prefer to stay in the Storm Zone forever.

”Have any messages come from Gunfire?”

Su Huan suddenly asked.

Shu Wei shook his head slightly, ”When we pass by Professor Ma’s place later, I’ll have him amplify the communication range, and then we’ll check for messages.”

”Tsk, I shouldn’t have let those three go back so soon back then.”

Su Huan casually remarked.

Although the three members from Gunfire were of high rank, they weren’t the renowned General Ju Ru, Tier Five ’Celestial Fire Commander’, which is one of the paths of evolution He Jie is currently pursuing.

Gunfire’s top strategic deterrence.

If this person had come, Su Huan would be interested in entertaining them, but with just the three old men, forget it.

Aside from some ’down payments.’

The armed train and Gunfire reached a swap agreement before parting ways.

There’s been no movement since then.

Nevertheless, Su Huan wasn’t worried, you can’t run away from a monk nor the monastery, as long as he continues moving north, they’ll eventually meet.

In carriage 3, it was still just Wan Xing by herself.

Though she has become a Tier One Evolver and the conductor of the manufacturing team, she hasn’t arranged to have two subordinates for herself.

This is fine, the position of carriage 3 is crucial, allowing ordinary crew members in is likely to lead to problems.

Exchanging simple greetings, Su Huan walked towards the back.

Along the way, whether it was ordinary crew, level five management, or assistant conductors, they all greeted Su Huan with respect.

Although the authority and strength of the conductor had not changed much, the respect received had increased.

But Su Huan soon grew impatient and walked straight through the central armed hall.

After complex disinfection procedures, Su Huan saw the first familiar face in Director Xu’s lab.

The High Priest.

She looked much younger than she did on the island, wearing a heavy white long skirt, sitting by the window, with a young researcher standing across from her, speaking.

Without any warning, the High Priest turned her head.

”You’ve come.”

Su Huan, slightly speechless, ”Must you use your powers for these things?”

The High Priest smiled, ”Just that having used my powers a lot, my intuition is slightly better than ordinary people, rest assured, I want to live longer than you, to see how this world might change.”

”It certainly won’t get worse.”

Su Huan sat on the chair brought over by the researcher.

He couldn’t be bothered to enter, Director Xu’s lab had different sections with different management rules.

Dress codes and disinfection procedures were different.

Might as well chat here until the old man comes out himself.

”Did you decipher that prophecy?”

The High Priest asked.

”No.”

Looking at Su Huan’s nonchalant manner, the High Priest felt a bit concerned, ”That prophecy is important for the train.”
