Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Black rain poured down, shrouding the world in chaos.

HT-426 set down the tactical tablet in his hand and squinted into the distance.

The towering figure walking from the direction of the train gradually overlapped with the images on the data, only now it seemed less manic.

Long hair tied at the back, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

He didn’t look like the conductor leading a hundred thousand zombies to slaughter human settlements, more like a young art student in college.

Mysterious, yet the young man’s biggest secret was the Genetic Primordial.

Capture him, and there will be plenty of time to understand.

HT-426 coldly said, ”447, test his limits.”

”Received.”

Su Huan walked toward the figure in the middle. Today’s armored train was unlike before; every battle required cunning and calculation, with an element of risking one’s life.

After several upgrades and evolutions, it was now capable of engaging in hard battles, soldier against soldier and general against general.

Suddenly, a sound pierced through the rain-fog.

A lean figure sliced through the rain-fog, launching an attack from the side, a metal baton aimed directly at Su Huan’s head.

Like a nimble leopard, swift and fierce!

Yet, Su Huan didn’t even spare a glance and continued walking forward.

A trace of confusion flashed through 447’s cold eyes, and in the next moment, they contracted sharply as if encountering a natural enemy.

Initially just a black dot, he thought it was a hidden weapon, but it grew larger and larger.

It eventually became a door-sized shield, displacing meters of rainwater into a mist, roaring as it surged forward.

No room to dodge; no way to escape!

447 could only raise the baton in his hand to shield his chest.

”Boom—”

Man and shield flew backward.

A gigantic figure burst out from the fog, muscles rippling under his skin, veins entwined like serpents around his arms, as a heavy punch smashed toward the fierce man behind the shield, the violent air currents scattering the rain like a ravenous tiger pouncing!

Bullets flying from the train direction hung suspended in mid-air.

The heavy machine gun in He Jie’s hands exploded instantly.

A pulse followed, sweeping toward the train, only to be blocked midway by a barrier of high-temperature flames.

The flame dragon controlled by Lin Jin not only didn’t extinguish but instead burned fiercely in the heavy rain, charging toward Zhao Kuo, only to collide mid-route with a vacuum square and be extinguished.

The battle between Su Huan and Zhao Kuo had yet to ignite.

The Black Kite Squad and the armored train’s forces had already begun their fierce confrontations.

The manipulators’ advantages manifested vividly in battle, akin to magicians, as various dazzling, wide-range destructive weapons were unleashed upon the enemy.

Meanwhile, Su Huan also observed the opponent’s displayed abilities.

No wonder they dared to cause trouble clad in metal exoskeletons; turns out there was a Tier One Metal Manipulator in the Black Kite team.

But none of them compared to the greatest threat—the cold, stern young man in front of him.

The overwhelming energy fluctuations surpassed everyone present.

Well, except himself.

Fine electric currents coursed from around him, instantly painting the entire area as they touched the raindrops in mid-air.

Everywhere was filled with cool blue, fine electric arcs.

Within a hundred-meter radius, in an instant, it became Su Huan’s Thunder Domain.

Meanwhile, Zhao Kuo, clad in an exoskeleton, launched a fierce counterattack.

From walking to sprinting, the motion shifted almost instantaneously.

Due to the extreme speed, a vague humanoid trail of rain was left behind as the true form appeared over Su Huan, launching a punch!

The Level 3 ”Combat Specialization” allowed Su Huan to react defensively instantly.

”Bang—Kacha.”

In the center of the clash, a cold blue violent electric current suddenly exploded.

Black hair flew backward, and the red rope snapped.

Su Huan flew backward more than a dozen meters, his feet plowing two deep furrows in the ground, waves of water rushing to either side.

HT-426 watching from the rear, felt slightly astonished; he hadn’t expected Su Huan to withstand Zhao Kuo.

Even if it was just one move, the demonstrated talent was already astonishing enough.

But it ended here.

A Tier Two against a Tier One was an overwhelming advantage.

No room for luck or trickery.

HT-426 no longer paid attention to the two and began directing others to launch a strong assault on the train.

However, the armed force of five hundred was too mighty, suppressing a group of Tier One Evolvers to the point they dared not show their heads.

Even the Metal Manipulator couldn’t instantly withstand this terrifying barrage.

Their front chest armor could defend against 12.7mm bullets, but the other side had not only 14.5mm caliber anti-aircraft machine guns but also a sniper wielding a City Breaker-III!

If hit by that thing, even if lucky enough not to be shot in a vital spot, one would still be left to die.

”Tear open the train first, destroy the opponent’s advantage!”

The Metal Manipulator’s exasperated voice came through the exoskeleton helmet’s communicator, ”They’ve mixed evolutionary materials into the metal, I can’t tear it!”

HT-426’s gray-blue pupils were like a frozen lake, showing no emotion, but inside, an ominous premonition was gradually taking hold.

The premonition didn’t come suddenly but from various small details.

The sense of being manipulated further heightened her vigilance to a peak.

”Open the oxygen, I’ll create a vacuum zone, but there’s only one chance, take them down before they can react!”

HT-426 issued the command decisively, as determinedly as she had set the company’s direction before the apocalypse.

No explanation, no discussion, confident and resolute.

...

Su Huan’s arms hung limply at his sides.

Yet, the icy gleam in his eyes grew even more intense.

”Tier Two ’Flesh-Crafted Implantation,’ you guys really went all in.”

In the realm of the ”Maker,” the direction of evolution, Tier One was ”Iron-Blood Symbiosis.”

A hybrid of machine and flesh, hardcore machinery, forbidden flesh, mech-flesh were the three most common evolutionary paths for a ”Maker.”
